Ah Puch vs Baba Yaga is crazy broken. Cause Baba gets healing from her house whenever she is missing health Au Puch has a 99% chance of stunning her when you land the 3
In my experience as a diamond baba my house is always really far away , most of the time sitting in the jungle(because red buff) or way off to the side of the lane, and so I wouldn’t say Ah Puch is “crazy broken” against her lol. Baba has a movement ability and an incredibly safe and threatening ult in comparison to Ah Puch being slow and lacking any kind of immunity or real peel(besides just ulting ig)
Ah Puch is broken against Cerberus' passive. He would just keep getting stunned lol

Chiron has a really tough time against Ah Puch as well. Horseman can't control who he heals and has to not use any abilities if he doesn't want to screw someone over.

A more interesting counter is actually Cabrakan into Nox. Most characters have to respect Nox when she has both silence and root up, but Cabrakan doesn't. All Cabrakan needs to do is use his first ability and run towards her during his root immunity. He is also still able to utilize his one in silences as long as it has already been casted. Its not a perfect counter since the Nox player has some counter play, but it is a hard match up for Nox.
His ultimate is also the best wall in the game for catching dashes, especially Nox's. Odin's is arguably better as an all-around wall, but Odin struggles to get the CC and lock down required to really capture her and threaten an immediate death on getting her trapped. It's usually a bit of a longer struggle.
If a Cabrakan goes in on Nox, he can very easily pull out her basic abilities and if she catches herself on his wall, then she is in a very dangerous spot that she is very unlikely to get out of, and he will have dealt quite a bit of damage to her already.
Odin vs Nox is pretty good too. If you throw your silence where Odin is going to land it cancels his jump before he actually lands, making his jump do no damage and his shield won't detonate if he has it. It also makes landing your snare on him really easy since you know where he's going to land
Wow you didnt mention the most overpowerd counter in all of Smite.
Jing Wei Vs Knock Ups:
Jing Wei is the only God in the whole game who can get out of Knock Ups/ Sobek Pulls because she can use her movement ability in mid air making her fly even further.
Awilix has a knock up.
Awilix will drag her right back with her ult though.

Again how does Awillix ult has any meaning in the context that Jing Wei is the only god who counters knock ups ? What youre saying makes no sense because now i can say yeah there are Beads which makes Awillix ult useless again. Or how about Banning Awillix ?
You see the problem right ? You cant counter my argument with a completely random new one makes no sense. Thats as if i were saying Aegis has the higest life saving count in the game and you say "But Thanatos counter Aegis." Still wont change the fact that Aegis saves the biggest amount of lifes in the game.
Honestly you really missed out with ah puch because theres a couple gods that can near impossibly avoid the stun on his 3. Baba yaga house heal, tiamat passive when anything nearby dies, as well as chiron passive all proc his 3 stun. Its essentially a guaranteed stun vs those gods
Chiron is a big culprit too. Every ability heals, and not just himself.
Ah Puch also counters Cerberus disgustingly well. You can pop potions to proc your 3 stun since his passive counts it as ability heals

honestly if hi rez is gunna make this a mechanic then it should be fair to have lotus crown proc on these aswell
Another thing that you forgot to mention about #1.
You cannot even ult away from fenrir as He Bo. Brutalize has the unique ability of tracking AND damaging He Bo during his ult, where he is usually untargeteable. (And this might be just from memory, but, similar to mercury ult vs brutalize, depending on the angle in which fenrir is brutalizing vs your ult, he can even dodge the damage from said ult)
A niche counter is that Ah Puch is good into cerb since he gets a free stun off his 3 due to cerb passive healing himself
Another god that has no self-control on when he heals is chiron.
Thanatos can also go back and forth, but if you heal with your corpse, cerberus doesn't even need to 3 cause of his passive.
The thing that’s so broken about this matchup is that Ah Puch controls when cerb gets stunned since cerbs passive steals a percentage of all healing Ah Puch only has to throw his 3 then pop a health pot and he gets stunned
This happened to me in a match yesterday:
I played Terra and the enemy team had a Gilgamesh. Whenever he tried to kick me I just put my stones down and I couldn’t be displaced. Now he was trapped in my stones which allowed for easy CC.
Same match the enemy team had a Poseidon and his whirlpool stopped me from shattering my monolith which caused me to be pretty useless.
Dude fr Terra is sleeper broken with the displacement immunity
The only other god with that level of displacement immunity literally has a self-sunder to help keep it in check
One of the most impressive counters ive ever personally experienced was someone pre-beadsing my mantle of discord. I got jumped by a loki sitting around 60%, he ulted me, popped beads, invised, and auto’d, and it was just one of those plays that you’re like “ damn, nice play, ya bastard” I was pretty stoked though.
I love to see people flex their game knowledge. It’s so satisfying

I just remembered the Bellona into Freya counter. Bellona counters pretty much any auto attack god, but with the way Freya's kit work with half of her abilities needing auto attacks to be useful it ends up being a really rough matchup. I think people have forgotten about this since Freya has not been good outside duel for a while

@@jeana8224 You use left click to basic attack as your main damage (ADCs) and as a mage your abilities to enhance your basic attacks. Which is useless when you're disarmed.

You forgot the hardest counter of all: Nox vs everyone.
Nox vs Fun*
One I found out by being on the not good side of it is Ah Puch vs Tiamat. Tiamats passive in flying stance counts as a heal, so if any minion, pet, God, or what have you dies nearby and heals you for 20 hp, sucks to suck, you're getting stunned by the three.
Artio's root is also crazy annoying against Sun Wukong - imagine just never being able to reach her with your 3. No stun, no knockup, no birdy to escape.
Da Ji vs Zeus is sooooo bad for Zeus. Having no CC immune ult makes Zeus much easier to pull and Da Ji ult can get her out Zeus' damage, which is Zeus' only way of peeling.
Even better vs Vulcan because Vulcan main peel is meat balling himself which is immuned by 1000 cuts

Worth mentioning that Hun Batz can also follow Janus when if he portals away
To add on to the mystical mail vs invisible you could also just use Cu Chulain. His 2 not only is basically mystical mail but when he's enraged he passively has it at all times. Along with being a tanky boi and having big DMG potential with 7 abilities all dealing dmg
Cabrakan into Nox is deadly and even Ganesha into Bacchus because he can use his 2 or 3 to stop Bacchus's burp and now with him being knockup immune in his 2, it'll help against the belly flop as well
I like artio into Fenrir but artio into King Arthur is my favorite counter, like it's fun to just shut down so much of a KA's kit and you can also use the stunt to disrupt both of his spins since they have such a long channel to them
Geb shield will make Bastet’s ult drop whoever they grab if you shield them right as they’re grabbed
Geb basicly Hard counter to most single targen huge cc gods
I had a 1v1 against my friend as Jormungandr and they were Chang'e. My 2 got denied by her 2 every time and I couldn't really do anything because that was my main source of damage. Also he could just ult my 2 if he had already used his 2.
Another one that's probably too obvious to put on the list since it's part of their passive but, Heimdallr vs stealth.
Athena and Achilles kept using their stun or taunt on Jormungandr’s 2 in one game I had and it was tuff. Rank people think skill is everything but sometimes, your at a big disadvantage from the start. And have to change the whole way you play that character or role.

It takes timing but sobek vs Odin. Sobek tail whip just shuts down bird bomb. Works with most knockups, I just like this one cause the tail whip is easiest for me.
Also Danza vs Xbal. Probably a bug, but tanuki trickery let's you leave the xbal ult when you exit the circle.
Yeah it’s juicy landing the pluck on a full shield bird bomb right as he lands, 2/3 of his damage abilities gone/ on cooldown and he gets yeeted
Had this matchup playing once and the other guy would cancel my bird bomb with his knock up and my 3 with his pluck. I could essentially do nothing to him and just had to sit there and wait for the laning fase to end
Great video as always, small suggestion if I may; when talking about items (like Magi cloak at 2:24) it would be really helpful to put the item tooltip on screen. Despite watching the video, I had to go search the Wiki to understand why magi cloak countered Ao Kuang. Either way I learned some new stuff today, thanks!
I was surprised artio vs hades wasn't on here . Being that they regularly face each other in solo. Besides artio cripple stopping hades 1. Her ranged healing means you can't put poke her and her bear form is immune to hades ult. It's the only common match up I've played that honestly feels like a deliberate counter
My favorite is Ravana's 2 VS everything in the game
No CC or Damage ability can take him out of that. It's a complete 100-0 ability since ravana can deal damage but you can't to him

Now I feel like an idiot for not picking up Magi's against Ao and Set in a 2v2.
Magi's does nothing against Set. Magi's only cleanses HARD CC, which is why it works on Kuang since his ult is a Knockup, a Hard CC. Set's only CC is a Slow, which is a SOFT CC. Ergo, Set cannot proc Magi's.
If you're building Magi's because you're trying to counter Set, you're just straight up wasting an item.

I've got to say Ah Puch vs Cerberus is also a very hard counter. Cerberus passive makes it so he is always healing from abilities during a team fight (also triggers Lotus Crown passive), so hit the 3 on him and it's a guaranteed stun and extra damage.
one that you missed that is a nutty counter, ganesh can lock odin out of most of his damage with both his 2 and his 3, both the silence and the knockup/stun stop all the jump damage and the impact of the jump detting the shield

Best counter for me personally is your map in the center of the screen. My brain just could not let me to play like that.
Regarding Ah Puch, I can't believe non of the pro players picked him to counter the heals. ( welp, I just remember that they didn't even purchase much anti-heal items xd)
Something i dont see people talk about is that nox and ganesha silences hard counter odin's bird bomb. if you put a silence where odin lands the shield doesnt explode

Nox has some disgusting counters to just about everything, but most interestingly, is stopping leaps. If you place nox silence on top of where the god is trying to land, in a lot of cases it will just cancel the jump, like bachus knockup. A counter TO nox would certainly be geb/hel when used as team mates. It can really ruin your day.
Ah puch vs ra is nothing compared to Ah puch VS chiron
Chiron passive heals on EVERY SINGLE ONE of his abilities automatically. AND it's a DOT heal, so even if ah puch applies his 3 afterwards it still stuns.
A cripple against anyone with a leap or dash is always pain.
I tried hebo one time like 3 years ago in casuals, matched against a fenrir jungle.. haven't played him since.
He should of done Ah Puch is a counter to Chiron because if he used his ability his passive procs on himself if he is dmg at all or the closest ally.
I like the side by side screens. I feel like the ratio on the right side should be a little bit bigger
Ares has a pretty fun matchup vs Gilgamesh his long duration cc stops gilga from using half his kit and even if the gilga tries to ult Ares and keep him in the circle the Ares can use his 3 and just walk out of it
gilga can just basic ares to death
I'd say jorm, fafnir in ult, and izanami are good at countering anything that takes damage from autos.
Khumba passive, persephone ult, and Odin ult go down really quick with all of them.
Jorm in particular can really mess up a skadi since she can't make him slip on the ice, and I she sends kaldr after him he gets melted fast by the ticks from Jorms breath.
vamana vs any character without a dash like ah muzen cab, ah puch, anubis, morgan le fey etc
I've been playing smite since open beta and I'm only just now learning that Ah Puch has a stun in his kit.
Great list, another big one would be Athena vs Arachne & Daji as the block stacks she creates negate a huge amount of their damage.
Athena and Arachne are Mythological enemies as well!
Silences (Nox/Ganesha) against any channelled ability (Anubis 1, Cabrakan 3). Also Ganesha into any player made wall, counters Ymir's main goal. Counter plays odin ult as well. Also Executes countering Khepri ult ( honorable mention).
One of the worst match ups for me personally is Odin into Danza. I LOVE Danza but anytime I play against an Odin, I feel useless. His ult blocks his gords and his rocket. So there's no helping your team if they get trapped. If Danza gets trapped in the cage, he has no leap or anything to get out and ends up being a sitting duck.

You guys remember when they added knock up immunity to stone of Gaia basically cancelling out Fenrir ult. Cerberus didn't exist in the game yet.
Anhur vs Artemis or Medusa is really good too. They use their ults to initiate and get the advantage but on anhur nope. He just ults and takes like 3 quarters of their health or they’re forced to run away. He can also block Medusa spit with the pillar

Fenrir 3 will follow He Bo and continue doing damage if it's cast before He Bo starts the ult. He's not damage immune just untargetable by new effects. It's pretty funny to watch/do
Ah Puch vs Ra is probably the worst example since you can avoid Ra healing easily. As if you have a tick healer like Sylvanus or Hel, ah puch can really take advantage of that. The most frustrating is with Chiron passive lol

He Bo is an even worse matchup against against Fenrir than what you said because brutalize goes through his ult. Even though He Bo is untargetable during his ult, if a Fenrir brutalizes before the He Bo ult is cast, Fenrir keeps tracking and doing damage to He Bo in wave form.
Actually into the fen and he bo counter the reason why fen is his best counter is because he can still brutalize he bo during his ult meaning he bo has no way of stopping a fenrir in almost any case scenario.

Ne Zha vs Vulcan is a winning match up. Forcing Vulcan to use his turret guarantees ring bounce damage to a true damage sash.
Which also goes to say any God with a deployable is at a disadvantage against the third lotus prince

Eset into Sylvannus, her gust counters pretty much all of his CC. No roots, no knockups, only the 3 works.
Plus he self roots on his 3 and has a huge hitbox so you're basically guaranteed to land your silence every time he tries to use his 3
Bastet vs Fenrir stays a disgusting matchup. The cat's root to cancel brutalize, and 2 leaps to dodge fenrir leap, as well as the cat to body block autos. Impossible to damage a Bastet unless you use ragnarok, which they can ult or beads.
Btw Jorm also counters Ah Puch corpse damage by instantly killing them with his basics
I get this list is about even for general counters as opposed to 1v1 counters, but in terms of 1v1s, very few feel as useless as The Morrigan into Susano'o. Due to his 3, forget stealthing away. If you are already stealthed, here comes his 1. And if you go for the stun or even your ult, Susano'o can interrupt with his 2 and his ult as well. He is tailormade to stop Morrigan from having any fun

Susano vs the morrigan is crazy. If he had crusher she can almost never invis, and she can’t stun because of the almost guaranteed knock up. Her ult can get canceled easily from the knockup. Her only chance is if she transforms long before susano gets to her but if so he can just turn and run to Waste her ult

Hera vs Gilgamesh? When I was doing an infinite assault Hera countered my multi gilga squad pretty hard and it was just one Hera

Unrelated to the video but Morrigan needs a small rework with her stealth. It isnt much of a self peel when any damage, a crusher tick, mystical, any number of DoT abilities, any channel since if theyre already hitting you with it they arent gunna miss just bc you cant be seen like artios channel, hell i think even a stray minion arrow knocks you out of it. And after youre out there goes the movement speed. Gods with their only self peel being stealth thats easily broken have never had it easy. Let her keep the speed for 2 or 3 seconds out of stealth if broken early at least yknow? Izi and au have it too but st least they have a tp to help throw ppl off. Moris is just a literal half step back and the clone takes your old spot

Cursed ankh into set, hel or terra is a big one. Set and terra just can not ult with an ankh up unless they want to heal the enemy team more than they heal themselves AND take 20% more damage. It's kinda gross actually

hou yi is good against olorun, his passives blocks crits from oloruns passive, olorun has no escape or slow immunity for hou yi ult, and hou yi 3 gets extended duration in olorun ult and you are untargetable during it so you can just sit in the air and wait out his ult and then jump away or jump on him after the ult and get an easy stun and probably kill
after playing this matchup in duel its very hard counter and im surprised I haven’t seen anyone else bring this up, also all duel players know playing a melee character into skadi is an instant loss
