Dianа I think that TGWDLM has really shown improvement for StarKid musicals in the music and story quality. TGWDLM was the musical that got me into the StarKid fandom(cult) and I don't regret watching it one bit. It introduced me to so many different musicals.
It's overrated at this point. I love it but I'm tired of everyone praising it like baby Jesus lmao Plenty of their other musicals are way better and they don't get enough attention because of tgwdlm

I get that Twisted and their other musicals have a much less "serious" tone, but I think that TGWDLM really benefitted from being darker. I hope Black Friday continues the trend.
