Just out of curiosity, where are these wires manufactured? Only reason I ask, is because the one I bought smells completely different from all the other cords/electronics I usually get. It doesn't seem to be covered in some kind of there but not there grease/gunk that isn't really visible but you can kind of feel it normally. Instead the cable is just dry. And instead of having this strong odor that makes me feel like my brain cells are dying with every inhale or I'm 5% more likely to get some kind of cancer in 30 years, it almost reminds me of not so great blackberries from the grocery store (not a bad thing actually, for a cable anyway, definitely a bad thing for blackberries).
