Out of all of tonight's performances, this is the only one I wanted to hear again, and again. Nothing against the others, but this was next level.

Right it’s obvious Chance chose his favorites instead of who did the best. Neither Ray nor Sorrelle were better than Kala
She knows who she is as an artist once you know that, coaching isn’t going to lead to improvement. Have you ever noticed the coaches don’t turn for amazing singers or let the go fast? It’s because they aren’t trainable or coachable and that’s probably because they know who they are as an artist. They know what stylistic choices and especially what unconventional stylistic choices they make and if they are doing something slightly unconventional like Kala, it’s going to be hard to fix because 1) they are always going to do it regardless of how much someone tries to coach it out of them and 2) Maybe it doesn’t need to be fixed. Kala’s only issue with conventional singing is she’s a little breathy and chooses not to pull back the mic when she breathes and intentionally lets her breathing sounds be enhanced by the Mic. If that’s something she chooses to do, that’s part of who she is as an artist. If that’s the only thing they saw that they could attempt to improve in her, they should let her go because she’s so good, she’s not coachable by them at least. The voice is supposed to be about self discovery as much as it is about others discovering you. If she’s not coachable, there’s no self discovery, etc, etc. It’s not being robbed to say she’s too good for the voice.

If it was public votes then she and Manasseh would have been voted through by the fans and Sorelle would be the coach save. We need John Legend back because he would have loved them. I don't think Chance cares about winning but he seems bias about Ray or picking who he wants to produce the most.

I sat with my mouth wide open in complete shock when Chance did not pick Kala for his top 2...this was the best performance I have ever seen on the Voice...My husband wasn't watching the show with me and he stopped to watch this. So very sorry to see her go...I hope she keeps singing, she is truly the best of this season.

I have been waiting for 23 seasons for this song to be performed and Kala did amazing. Why she didn’t go through after this is beyond me? In my opinion, she was the strongest on Chance’s team

@@ttimothychen in the battles, noivas definitely won the battle, but i’m p sure Chance knew Blake would steal noivas anyways, so he went with Ray. Every other time though, Ray has deserved to go to the next round because he keeps showing up. not to mention Ray has some of the cleanest and smoothest runs ive ever heard

she absolutely should've made it into the semi-finals. the fact she somehow didn't end up in the lives will never fail to shock me. in the years i've been watching the show, that decision might be the most heartbreaking to me. she won the show in my heart. 🥇

That is sincerely, the best rendition of that song I've EVER heard. Dear Lord. Angels were falling from the sky over this amazing, talented woman. The breath control and the choice of notes was incredible. I wish her joy in her career.

I can't figure out how Chance did not pick her, that performance was beyond what words can describe.
Out of all the performances that night, Kala stood out to me for her heartfelt delivery of this timeless classic. She truly has a gift, and hopefully some record producer out there agrees.
This was the best performance not only of the night but the whole season so far.

The greatest thing about this performance is that the high notes are melodically in the right moment, it’s not forced like others do in this sort of competition to get more votes. I agree soo much on this. IT WAS MORE DRAWN OUT AT ONE POINT!! Anyone remember the season Matt meanders was on team Adam (got robbed by random country guy and placed second-but he was LITERALLY responsible for making hozier successful in the US after he sang “take me to church”. Best performance on the voice of all time to this day in my opinion! It was #1 on the charts for awhile, and clearly people looked up the original song bc suddenly a musician named hozier was on the US iTunes Charts for the first time ever, and he shot to #1 with, of course-take me to church! That season had an amazing group-we got to know so much about the contestants-and one episode they had all of their families together for thanksgiving. It seemed less about STRUCTURE, GITT’ER DONE, POCKET TGE MONEY, ONTO THE NEXT SEASON! -just very machine like, which is how American idol and AGT have become too.

The love and feeling that she put into this performance took my breath away, and took me to a place of calmness. I melted. This song will always be on repeat. Absolutely phenomenal performance.

Biggest mistake of the season was letting this woman walk out the door. This was the best performance of the night and she didn't even get the recognition she deserved.

Maybe my favorite version of my favorite song. The change up at "When you open it to speak" is just heart stopping and brilliant. I had to remind myself to breathe. Being a vocalist/musician myself, Kala was by far, in my own personal opinion, the most talented singer of this season, and in the top 5 of any vocalist I have seen of all the years on this competition. You are the next Eva Cassidy, Kala- - which is a huge compliment. What you can do to your voice is a gift from God. I know only big things are ahead for you. 💕🙏

I am blown away! Chance has this ability to pick the perfect song for the singer and this song belongs to Kala. Everything was spot on. Her outfit, hair, makeup…utter perfection. When she sings I forget to breathe. Kala, you belong on a Broadway stage.
Better yet, Carnegie Hall. I would love to see a full concert with her in such a magnificent setting.
I have watched every episode of every season and this artist was, for me, the most exquisite and touching of them all. I felt such beautiful sorrow. If she does not get a recording contract, there is no justice in this world.
