I love this but I wish you could of shown three across and how to attach the other three squares together. I am such a visual person. I get how you attached the two together but am loss as what to do next. You are a great teacher, but I need a bit more visual. I followed a cal where we did eight rows across and eight rows down, next we learn the border, it was the cluster granny squares. I do hope you consider doing three across and 3 down so we can see how the rows are attached, thank you for your consideration, this is far the best I have seen and I thank you.
I can absolutely show how to pick up the next row yes! I'll film that for you next week so it should be ready by Friday for you - that way you'll know how to tackle picking up the corners :-)
Loved your tutorial. I love the look of how flat the squares are after joining. Recently a friend asked if I knew how to join them once all squares for her blanket was completed. I did but I wish I had seen your video before she asked. II will share this video with her and she can make all her future blankets with your method of joining if she so chooses. Thank you for sharing your talent and expertise with us. I for one am grateful. 🥰
I am using your wonderful joining method on a blanket I making now and I am finding it is super fast!! I think it’s faster than any other join I have used and it’s absolutely beautiful especially since I’m using so many different colors the effect is stunning!
Very very lovely. And super clear and helpful. Will be giving this one a go. Thanks heaps. Love watching you stitch away. Cheers from Western Australia.✌🏻💜💙💜💙
Very clear and concise instructional video! Thank you so much for this! I just adore your channel; you’re remarkable! I’m still very inexperienced with joining squares to form blankets and things, I’ve only tried a single crochet join once and a whip stitch join once so joining is a bit intimidating for me still, however your video takes a lot of the anxiety out of giving this method a try! It looks wonderful to boot! Thanks again for the great content!
Thank you for the video tutorial on joining solid granny squares as promised earlier. I was a tad disappointed that you stopped at two squares but after reading the comments I realised that you'll be making another video for joining the second row where diagonal corners are involved. I'm really looking forward to this. Thank you again for your tutorial.
Thanks so much for this - exactly what I had in mind! I'm making an oversized scarf out of 25cm solid granny squares (with popcorn stitches in the pattern), and want to join them so that the join looks like a continuation of the pattern. Have tested, and this method will work perfectly! You're a star!
This is awesome! I'm trying to adapt it for a ripple stitch queen size afghan so I can crochet half of the afghan, set it aside, crochet the other half and join the two halves. This will prevent me from having the huge thing on my lap all at once, at least until this join row. Thank you so much for this tutorial as I was drawing a blank as to how to join them and have the join look good!😍
This has helped me tremendously, thank you. I’m making a beach cover up and joining left and right panels together, I’ve tried a few different methods but this method looks beautiful.
I needed this video before I started my granny square project. I have been sewing mine, and I am quite literally, cringing each time I look at my project. Then, I have to worry about weaving in the ends and making sure everything is secure and anchored. Well, we learn something new every day! Thanks!!! ❤
This looks much clearer to me on how this method should done. I was thinking of avoiding JAYG but your video gives me more confits give it a go - thank you.
Hello! First off wanted to tell you my little brain was blown by your videos on the joining, I love the look of it and am excited to use in on my next granny afghan. I'm wanting to do a willow square afghan, I know how to do the pattern, but would love some advice as to how I use the continuous join as you go method for the willow squares as I have just found your videos and the corners still stump me. Very appreciative of your videos and help. Thank you! 💚
I successfully joined a cushion cover for the first time after watching your continuous JAYG video. It would be a great help if you could do a 3 x 3 video at some point for the solid granny so we can all get the hang of joining the squares to make a larger blanket.
3 across and 3 down would take a little while BUT I could show you 2 across 2 down? If I add to this I can show how to join a new row and join at the corners?
Hooked by Robin This would be great to see! I was a tad confused how we would go about joining any additional rows of squares to the row you showed us already. How would we go about joining additional rows in general with this method to make a full blanket? This is probably a newbie and obvious question but I am still so new to joining that I’m rather ignorant about it all xD
Hooked by Robin knowing how to keep joining the squares then how you go up and around would be great. Maybe you could do the three and break it up over the next month. I am ticked you are willing. I know you will be around for questions
@@Sarahlinii Sarah Tabler it's my fault for assuming people would know what I meant so it's not you being a newbie, it's me not thinking it through! Xx it'll be the next video I do 😀👍 (this is a case of "it's not you, it's me" LOL)
Hooked by Robin see this often in viedoes . I highly admire your awesome talent and how you can connect the dots, lots of us are show me a few rows and then watch me roar. I appreciate your kindness and attention to you subscribers. I just love this, if you ever make a written tutorial with pictures I will be first in line to purchase. I believe that there is a great demand for teaching viedoes on how to connect squares. I believe it would be a great seller. Like I said I am in the middle of a crochet along we are at eight weeks. 8 rows down and arc Ross, from making the squares to connecting them row after row, and next we will learn how to do the borders. She gives great tips along the way on weaving in ends and tension, and smooth color changes. Every two to 3 weeks she pops out the next step. I think each presentation is an hour or so long. I know every has their own time restraints. But hey I would be willing to wait on the masters. So if you are able to do the three across and three down that would give a complete picture to get us on out way. Then a quick border to finish them up. Be easy on yourself and spread it out over a month or two. I belong to five crochet groups and people are always asking for where they can find more complete viedoes on connecting squares. I appreciate you willingness to listen and giving series thought to consider this endeavor, I wish I was more of the type to visually in my mind to turn the corner and continue, but I get brain freeze and stare blankly at my project. Thank you again.
I really wish i could get the TJAYG with the hexagon (could you please do a video in light colour join so it is clearer to follow. I've just about given up. Might try the solid granny square TJAYG instead.
Are you still planning to do the viedo with 3 across 3 Down. I love the other granny square one you did that was very complete, with the regular granny square you showed several rows and then how to do the border I learned a lot. I hope by this fall cause I want to do one.
Argh! Why do I keep forgetting I promised to do this? I'M SUCH A GOLDFISH BRAIN!! 😫 100% I am writing this down on a post it note and slapping it on my camera lens so I do not forget! Yes 😃🧶

Would you recommend this for joining sweater sleeves?
This is beautifull... but is that mean that you are blocking.... your piece at the end? because i was blocking my square before doing my piece....

hmmm I'm not sure as it wouldn't work on the outer edge of each block (the side of the dc's if that makes sense?)
Before you start crocheting ...
there is:-
1 granny square with 5 rounds of crochet:
*2nd granny square with 4 roundss of crochet:
This is your starting set :
You need to start crocheting the 5th row around the 4 rounds of the *2nd granny square square,
you do this technique by crocheting the two squares together:
Each square has 5 row around each square:
Basically what this means, one square is smaller than the second square !
