I love this but I wish you could of shown three across and how to attach the other three squares together. I am such a visual person. I get how you attached the two together but am loss as what to do next. You are a great teacher, but I need a bit more visual. I followed a cal where we did eight rows across and eight rows down, next we learn the border, it was the cluster granny squares. I do hope you consider doing three across and 3 down so we can see how the rows are attached, thank you for your consideration, this is far the best I have seen and I thank you.

Loved your tutorial. I love the look of how flat the squares are after joining. Recently a friend asked if I knew how to join them once all squares for her blanket was completed. I did but I wish I had seen your video before she asked. II will share this video with her and she can make all her future blankets with your method of joining if she so chooses. Thank you for sharing your talent and expertise with us. I for one am grateful. 🥰

Very clear and concise instructional video! Thank you so much for this! I just adore your channel; you’re remarkable! I’m still very inexperienced with joining squares to form blankets and things, I’ve only tried a single crochet join once and a whip stitch join once so joining is a bit intimidating for me still, however your video takes a lot of the anxiety out of giving this method a try! It looks wonderful to boot! Thanks again for the great content!

Hooked by Robin see this often in viedoes . I highly admire your awesome talent and how you can connect the dots, lots of us are show me a few rows and then watch me roar. I appreciate your kindness and attention to you subscribers. I just love this, if you ever make a written tutorial with pictures I will be first in line to purchase. I believe that there is a great demand for teaching viedoes on how to connect squares. I believe it would be a great seller. Like I said I am in the middle of a crochet along we are at eight weeks. 8 rows down and arc Ross, from making the squares to connecting them row after row, and next we will learn how to do the borders. She gives great tips along the way on weaving in ends and tension, and smooth color changes. Every two to 3 weeks she pops out the next step. I think each presentation is an hour or so long. I know every has their own time restraints. But hey I would be willing to wait on the masters. So if you are able to do the three across and three down that would give a complete picture to get us on out way. Then a quick border to finish them up. Be easy on yourself and spread it out over a month or two. I belong to five crochet groups and people are always asking for where they can find more complete viedoes on connecting squares. I appreciate you willingness to listen and giving series thought to consider this endeavor, I wish I was more of the type to visually in my mind to turn the corner and continue, but I get brain freeze and stare blankly at my project. Thank you again.

Would you recommend this for joining sweater sleeves?

This is beautifull... but is that mean that you are blocking.... your piece at the end? because i was blocking my square before doing my piece....

I rarely block individual squares, I find joining them pulls them into shape - if something requires blocking at the end I'll block the final piece :) If a square is more intricate or needs appliques adding etc then I'll block the individual squares before joining but as I said, it's rare I block anything!

Robin would you be able to use this method to join c2c squares to make a blanket?

hmmm I'm not sure as it wouldn't work on the outer edge of each block (the side of the dc's if that makes sense?)

    Before you start crocheting ...
    there is:-
1 granny square with 5 rounds of crochet:
*2nd granny square with 4 roundss of crochet:
This is your starting set :
You need to start crocheting the 5th row around the 4 rounds of the *2nd granny square square,
you do this technique by crocheting the two squares together:
Each square has 5 row around each square:
Basically what this means, one square is smaller than the second square !

Thank you, this is awesome ! I just wanted to ask what do you do when you get to the "crossroads" (ie joining 4 squares in the middle)? 🌹

    Hi Robin
Newbie here and a little confused. In the video you say to keep joining as long as you have stitches left to join...Let’s say I am joining a left square to a square on the right....I am confused about how to navigate the corner at that point. Do you happen to have a close up picture of that part....i have slowed the video down but still can’t tell which stitches you are joining into. Are we joining into the corner space of the right square and then doing a complete corner on the left square?
See I don’t even know how to describe it.lol
Would love some help if possible. Thanks so much.

I think its far more easier to whip stitch to join your squares after they are all made. I dont like fiddly things lol!

The granny square I learned has the tail in the middle meaning you end by joining the three chain to your double in the middle of the last side. Is there a way to do this with that granny square ?

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  Před 5 lety

Yes absolutely! The method is the same, no matter where you begin your granny square (corner or side, it doesn't matter) 😀

I have a question. Is the square perfectly square when you join (5 rows) or is the joining DC part of the 5 rows?
