I’m sorry to tell you this but the claim that this prayer was revealed to save 1000 souls is simply false. I admire your dedication for this but please remember that no where in St. Gertrude’s biography has she mentioned specifically about that number. Though a great prayer, it cannot release 1000 souls by itself. If you do not believe me, please search on the internet and read credible Catholic articles about it. God bless!

As a little girl, I’m now 66, my parents taught us that prayer for the Souls in Purgatory, which was Always said immediately after grace before our meal. Therefore, when my husband and I had our family, we also say the prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory after grace before meals. So happy to know that it is not only our family that does this. You are both grace filled. Thank you.

Read it more than 20 yrs ago but Mother Mary has inspired me to go back.Today it is St Maximus the confessor from office of readings in Divine Office that made me stop and wade in the waters longer such a wonderful feeling so true what you are saying I have experienced it.Not to grumble , not to argue in everything lesson I learned . Every time I pass by a cemetery it reminds me to pray for the souls of purgatory. I do it at least 1 time a day bc I pass by taking the kids to school. It’s the visual that reminds me.

The Holy Rosary is meditation on the life of Christ. Those who mock the Rosary don't know the beauty of this lovely way of praying.
Yes but it is still more vocal prayer then mental so you should still do regular mental prayer if you want to advance in the spiritual life
