im really interested in this as a viewer growing up, this show influenced me as a kid and gave me hope that my voice would matter. Now 37 i'm excited to research and site references in these and see whats happened. I cant believe that anyone watching this growing up would vote for trump.
I will say this show taught a lot of us media and journalistic literacy. I have always appreciated they tried their best to be impartial. One of the episodes i watched had all different sides of an issue. It was about logging in Northern California and Oregon. And they talked to kids who protested to get the company to listen and stop their destructive processes and you had kids who supported the company believing that it would be bad for family if they closed the logging companies in the area. I’ll also never forget little Hydeia Broadbent who was born hiv positive crying, hoping to just be accepted. I feel like the kids who watched this show regularly are now probably very savvy with how they get their news. But i agree i can’t imagine a kid who watched this all the time would ever grow up to vote for trump.
