Hi there, can you remember, on what magnification did you have the scope/cammera for this shot ? (isnt mentioned in the video-details)

may i ask your opinion? I'm confused about which one to choose between the Celestron Powerseeker 80eq or Visionking 30-100x100? which one do you think is farther magnified and the picture is better if we see.
    please answer mr. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😟😟

I am sorry, but I have absolutely no idea. I am not an Astro photographer. It just happened that I own that visionking monocular. This video is just a demonstration of what I could do with this.

How is it as terrestrial / spotting scope use? Do you recommend it? Does it focus fine at maximum magnification? Images are fairly bright? Thanks

Well I am not very experienced on spotting scopes. I think that when you look through the scope, the image seems better than having the camera attached on it. At maximum magnification, focusing is somehow tricky. For the money you pay for the scope, it performs quite well.

Did you use any zoom in your camera? Or is this video nothing but scope?

It is just the scope and a canon 5D Mark II. The scope is set on maximum Magnification. Nothing else is involved. Digital Zooming is not possible on this camera. Everything is stable on a tripod. The movement you see on the video, is the natural movement of the moon.

    Hello
A few days ago I bought Visionking 30-90x100mm. I have a question how did you connect the canon 5d to the telescope ?? I have a Canon 50D and a T2 ring for connection, but the telescope has no thread to screw.
    Greetings from Poland
Ps. Your moon video is great.

I got the scope with a dedicated canon adapter. On one side it screws on to the camera, and on the other side it has a tube like thing, that slides over the eye piece on the scope and screws on it.

Thanks for the answer. I have already found this adapter on Amazon. Do you have any sample photos taken by this adapter ?? If this is not a problem send me to bohas79@gmail.com
      I will be very grateful.

    Thanks for sharing. Great result!
Can you please tell us how you mounted the camera?

    • @PanagiotisAntoniadis

The scope came with a canon adapter. Mounting an DSLR on it is straight forward. Fine adjusting it is very tricky though

Why is the video out of focus? The Canon 5D does much better!
