I have watched less than 10 Kannada films, but I am a huge fan of director Soori.. I have watched 3 of his films - Kaddipudi, Kendasampige and Tagaru and just loved all 3 films.. Especially in Tagaru, he just took a very simple story line to another level with the screenplay and edit pattern, and then Charan Raj elevated it to another level with his songs..

disappointed that Prashanth, brushed aside that he did not belong to that era, talking about Puttana. He has watched Sholay from that era, but not Puttana's movies! Understand he cannot get the nuisance or grammer of women centric movies. As a director of Kannada cinema carrying the torch forward, it's let down he blinked at Puttanna's genius work. Puttanna to Kannada cinema is, what K Balachander is for Tamil, K Vishwanath is for Telugu & Sanjay Leela Bhansali/Yash Chopra for Bollywood. Just a let down!

My theory is that people are having some sort of hallucinating euphoria caused by the whistles and shouting of some hardcore Yash fans who don't care about story and screenplay. I hope a good director like Prashant Neel opens his eyes and doesn't get carried away with this hype.
