just realized that on the piece of land where eda is standing while in owl beast form, the shadows/grass resemble half moons just like the shadows during the day of unity because of the eclipse

The necklace that hides king from the collector is just his collar. When they journeyed to the island king was born on that symbol was carved all over the place. then king carved it into his collar thinking it might be his name. The symbol seems to be a more powerful version of Luz's invisibility gliff, designed specifically to hide titans from the collector.
Yeah, King's collar wasn't magical until early Season 2. Between Eda finding him and then, what was protecting King was that Belos hid the mirror away, considering that The Collector was limited to surfaces near it.
Yeah also since it was all over the place where King was born I think his dad actually wanted to protect him with this symbol! King carved it later on his collar just because he felt that it was important tho
My guess is that the symbol hides anything from the collector. Having it all over the ruins suggests they were used to hide the whole structure or possibly the whole island from the collector.
@@bluesnake4626 People couldn't find the island either, as it always seems to be in a different place, so it seems like the symbol might more specifically hide king (and the island) from anyone that might want to hurt them.
How the titan can know that is hard to say, but somehow it knows Luz is a friend and Belos an enemy, so it might be doing something similar here. Hence, Eta could find the island, because she had no illwill toward King, but the collector couldn't see/hear King even when King was attempting to make contact.

The Owl Beast is proof of one thing: When the Collector plays hide and seek, they take the "seek" part VERY seriously. They also don't tend to give the other "player" a choice in participating or not.

Ok but what about the fact that the collector never showed signs of agression towards titans?
What if he just wants to play with them, and King's dad trapped him with a trick?
And he just seeks titans not to kill them but to play with them, and the titan trappers just don't understand his motive, cuz in the end they are the only ones who expressed the desire to kill king, while the collector just went along his game even after he was freed.
Then the collector might get mad that they got rid of all their playmates

You know. One question keeps coming to mind to why he's called The Collector. But I think I got an idea now, and it makes him all the more scarier. I think he collects magic. All kinds of spells and abilities. Like a magic All for One.

I think the reason why the collector is called that is because he hunts beasts like titans just for the fun of it and this could probably be reflected in the fact he always suggests games like hide and seek and tag because it’s the closest thing to hunting a wild beast

Eda is the one that gave King the collar, and King carved the Glyph/cloaking spell that was above his tower where he hatched into his tag to hide himself. So the Titan didn’t give him that collar, but that Glyph itself, & was the reason why the Island was hidden from sight from everyone, and why King said “it’s always been there when I look for it.”
It’s kinda cool now, knowing that, but also knowing that for some reason Eda was able to locate the Island & take King with her. Which makes me wonder if the Titan still has some sort of conscious/omnipotence despite being dead for thousands of years. Cause Phillip said “almost like the Titan did not want me to have that knowledge.” because of how quickly Luz was able to learn all those glyph combos & connect with the Titan that way. Really interesting stuff!

It could be that he basically “blesses” any Wild Magic Witch because if they’re supposed to have access to all magic then maybe they can connect with the island directly. It’s like, being connected with your body also connects you to the titan

@@arlainecarinugan3703 I think you might be misunderstanding the term, or what I’m referring to ab the Titan/what the show is alluding to about the Titan? I don’t think any of us really know what the Titan is fully capable of, it’s just my own observations.
I find it strange that the collecter looks so different. He's pretty much a child yet he appears in the memory as a cold hunter of shorts. What if he has two sides to him/a siblings of some sort, as different as night and day. One being playful and the other being cruel and befitting for his title. There are two distinct mirrors, after all, maybe King's father had to split him in two to be able to even lock him away, to begin with.
It would explain why the Titan hunters would be hunting in the first place, as the collection we see now clearly isn't hunting anything down. He just wants to play and lacks the understanding of how weak everyone else is around him.

Well there’s two ways I can think of the Collector’s species:
1. There is actually more deities like him, but only a few and they may have passed on or went to another world possibly?
2. The Collector is actually the only one of his kind and was created by literally the stars itself, plus magic.
The latter could actually explain that least of why they’re so childish still after decades and have a lack of basic empathy towards death itself. This is because with them being a child without a good mentor to teach them the values of life and why they’re there, he could’ve just only learned on his own and even so, definitely miss some important points of how to be with others(without killing them).

Hey! Something you missed, when King frees The Collector, the glass he was trapped in breaks in half, just like how the Titan trappers glass is seen. This means that it wasn't damaged this was the result of The Collector being freed, so I'm wondering, if that glass and Phillip's glass aren't connected in any way and/or The Collector themselves is the only being who can be trapped I'm there, then who trapped them before King's dad?
Maybe the collector just kept getting their ass kicked by titans, I mean he did say that kings dad "bullied" him

So, that room was meant to stay hidden from the collector while king grew but eda took him

After watching the season 2 finale, all i can say is that i really hope that the characters that were worse affected by draining spell are alright, and even though i'm glad that Luz and friends made it to the human realm i can't wait to see how Eda and King will get them back to the Boiling Isles next season.
And as for Eda well, now that her hand is destroyed she's probably just gonna be like Finn from Adventure time you know in terms of losing a limb and all that.

My theory is that king hid a vial of his own blood in Luz's backpack with a note saying that he would miss her and he hopes she would one day return to visit them, but not wanting her to worry about them once they stopped Belos and the spell, maybe figuring she would do something reckless like Fighting the freaking emperor alone! and him having the only working portal to the human realm there wouldn't be much time for farewells.
If the collector was this powerful we need to think how powerful the Titans were to fight the collector and the titan trappers
Kings dad alone was able to "bully" the collector and trap him, and that's just 1 titan
The Collector is god class, I think perhaps an "Angel" to the Boiling Isle's "Demons", because they're born of the stars.

Iam not sure if fighting him is possible even for a powerful beeing as a full grown titan they are. Very. Large beeing but seem that the most realistic way is a *game* on witch kings father played wich the collector under his his life he sealed the collector in the box dimension were. All magic even as omnipotent as the collectors are powerless i think the owl beast is a natual born species off the box dimension but i question myself how such crucial info got lost at least somebody must know how dangerous the collector was but probaly unable to destroy the second moon tabled

I hope the Collector becomes a good guy because he isn’t evil. He’s basically a young god, with no knowledge of the full effects of his powers.
It seems that the collector has been around for a very long time - i dont think they are young and inexperienced with their powers at all but rather, being an assumably unaging deity, his childish personality prevents him for really seeing the extent of his damage. Hes not evil yes, but he most likely understands his powers and what they can do but just doesnt see how that affect is so detrimental from a child like perspective
I think the owl beast was one of their many pets to play with, giving the name the Collector. But the Collector saw them as toys than actual companions, hence the Owl Beast's memory.

The collector is referred to as the child of the stars which I think might be literal as I think the big beast King's dad was fighting the the mural might be the collector's true form or even its child since theres alot of star symbolism, The collector might be a titan from a different planet or something
I've considered that the Collector might just be another child titan like king but from another dimension and after playing a game and getting lost or after destroying their own world with the amount of raw power they had that they ended up falling through a titan blood rift and ending up in the boiling isles seeking others to play with. Then when they got there after "appearing from the stars" through a rift they were worshipped and found the existence of the titans and sought a true companion like King to play with but the Titan and their kind sensed that the collector was a dangerous threat and sealed him away after a bloody battle before he was first released by the titan trappers with their disk. The collector goes to fight King's dad with the latter sealing the island away from him with the advanced invisibility glyph before fighting sealing away the collector again at the cost of its life and possibly as its last death bed action causing him to fall back with one knee up and arms outstretched in exhaustion
I think The Collector literally is a child from the stars. Like a fragment of a star "fell" from space, maybe falling on a young witch and creating The Collector. Or perhaps he's been around since The Big Bang.
There's also a possibility he's from the human realm. Think about how humans talk about "The Man In The Moon." Imagery of The Collector literally plays on that. 🌛🌚🌝. He could've been "The Man In The Moon" come to life in a sense
My mother is a teacher and compared the collectors to one of her kindergarten students, Always asking to play.
I feel like the collector likes to collect animals/beast and make them as pets to play with, knowing this kid plays rough might be some beast didn't survive the rough housing. I might assume the owl beast doesnt die easily

The Collector kinda reminds me of this great Twilight Zone episode “It’s a Good Life.” Basically, it’s about a little boy born with godlike reality warping powers who accidentally subjugates a whole town. He gets rid of the cars and electricity because they’re too loud, turns people into messed up abominations for fun, and erases anyone who has unhappy thoughts because he thinks he is helping them. But he’s not really evil; he just never learned the difference between right and wrong. Because everyone is so afraid of him (and rightfully so), they tell him that everything he does is good and nobody is willing to tell him otherwise or teach him the error of his ways. It’s a great episode if you want some context for the Collector’s character.
New theory: owl beasts were pets to the titans. The collector hunted them due to that connection. This would also make Eda referring to King as her "pet" ironic, since she is sort of an owl beast herself, which would make her King's "pet".

My theory is that when a Titan is killed, the stone that is associated with them is broken. I say there were dozens of Titans, and a few of them got together to create the stones, which trapped the collector. But then The Collector found out that when a Titan is killed one of the stones is broken, so he encouraged the Titan Trappers to kill the rest of them, but when the final Titan, King's dad, was killed, King has already hatched, and his dad's ownership of the final stone (the one Belos has), has already been passed to him.

In all honesty, this entire season of Owl House has to be the most consistently well written season of any modern cartoon I've seen in a long time.
Someone else said this somewhere and I can’t remember where, but that King may be able to help the Collector mature because of his own arc helping him to do so. He understands being lonely and wanting to play, and being the only one of his kind. I can’t help but think that the Owl Beast has an important role to play though too. Since it drains magic, and Titans create magic, and Collectors have full mastery over magic. Feels like they’re all interconnected.
The collector is definitely one of my favorite characters ever. Godlike power, the mind of a first-grader, wrapped up with the most ascetically pleasing design ever.
6:53 thats titan trapper island, or the bones around it. Its possible the cloaked figure we saw was a titan trapper and not the collector, but I do feel like it was probably the collector all things considered.

I have a potential theory for "The Owl House," could Luz (and humans in general) possibly be something of an amplifier for magic cast by witches? The reason I bring this up is because some of the most impressive feats (outside of Eda's) were performed with Luz either being directly involved or in close proximity to the spell being cast. Do you find this theory plausible or am I just finding something where there is nothing?
Depends. Was the magic circle being cast bigger than usual? Power correlates to the size of the circle. So if she was nearby and the circle was smaller, it could be plausible. If nearby while it was big, coincidence.

So I feel like I need to point out that King's coller was given to him by Eda and he carved the symbol into it that made it into a type of warding talisman that hides him visually from the Collector that symbol was also shielding King while he was on his island as it was casting a shadow of the symbol from the skylight of his tower.
It's a great video, but one thing I've noticed a lot of people have forgotten is that Kings collar is just that - a collar. Eda specifically mentions that she got the collar for him because she thought he was a stray dog, after they escaped Kings nursery. The only thing given to King by his father, the titan, was that symbol he carved onto the golden plate of his collar, which was used to hide Kings nursery from the Collector before he was hatched. When he carved it onto the golden plate, the symbol/glyph/protection spell transfered to Kings Collar - The gift of one parent enhancing the gift of another parent.
It is interesting that Eda and King never found it before, since King mentions that they've been there multiple times, and even Eda admitted that she found the little isle by accident. It's almost like the titan knew he needed someone to care for him, who'd bring him back every so often and would be there when he found out what he was. Though, I don't think the Titan anticipated the Collector and King teaming up.

So I don't think the Collector is necessarily evil. But can be extremely dangerous. Kinda like Grand Zeno from Dragon Ball Super. A child like minded being with God like powers? ya... kinda screwed.

I think that it was the symbol on kings collar rather than the collar its self that prevented the collector from seeing him in my opinion

The Season 2 finale was an amazing episode that was one heck of an emotional roller coaster.
A Question for specifically Zeno Robinson, but for any other VA who would like to answer: What was it like to voice the more emotional scenes?
The Owl House season 2 final with the same route as Amphibia Season 2 final. Which I was and wasn't that shocked about since I did suggest that's one of the way this season would end. Luz end up returning home with her friends from the other world tag along, who will stay with Luz at her home, while there's a powerful threat happening back in the other world, and they'll stay on Earth for short while until they can find away back home.

@@moarmy6779 I think Belos consumed Palismen to absorb the magic for himself. His "mush" body is a consequence of that transformation into a magic being, he is no longer human. I think there will be some confrontation between him as Mrs. Noceda:
- You have been corrupted by your child!
- Look at you! You see corruption in everyone but yourself. Who is more corrupt? A mother that has seen children who need her and loves them? Or you, a demon hunter that turned himself into a demon?
- Love can make us do unspeakable things. But I can free you from your sin.
... And all hell would break loose with all five magic children defending Luz's mother.
Another theory could be that Belos is a grimmwalker of himself, not being able to sustain his own life long enough to complete his task he created a clone of himself and fed him everything he needed to know to complete the task and return to the human realm as a hero to the witch hunters of his time. At least, he seems to expect to return to a world where demons and witches are still feared and he would be there to be superior among his people for having science, magic and slayed a whole island full of them.
I imagined Luz telling her mom “mom I have a partner” then she says “really?” then she goes to Hunter saying “and what's your name?'” Luz telling her “it's not him” then she goes to Gus asking him the same thing

I think he is just a powerful kid too powerful to understand the concept of right and wrong. he is not dangerous like you generic bad guy . I thinks he spend so mayn years alone than his morality was altered . I think they need to talk to him.
I also think its just a fragment of his personality.
I don't have a comment on the boiling isles side, I think however from luz and co. going through the portal the librarian in the episode with Luz's mom in either a grandchild or Belos's brother himself. Luz is going to find out from her mom about him and her rescuing her doppelganger from him and could potentially have another portal or enough titans blood to make some, also maybe having a journal or knowledge to help them with the collector. Not sure to what end but there is the statue in the town of one or both of the brothers.

Lilith's owlbeast is that of Eda's, split over the two sisters.
You said that the necklace was left for king by the titan, but Ed’s was the one who gave him the collar (“because that’s what you do when you get a pet”) and King was the one who drew the symbol, because it was used all over the room where he’d been hatched.
Just saw that this video was a thing and im making one of my own calls from back when the collector first got shone in the ghostly robes hunting and sealing the owl beast. Two possibilities: the owl beast was actually a female titan that got cursed into that twisted smaller monster form by the collector before ultimately being sealed and captured as shown in the series. Or : the owl beast is a female titan and we have just never seen anything but the sealed or "cursed" form that pops up possessing eda and that the "harpy lady" eda form is actually closer to how the original form was albeit much smaller to fit her. This would also help explain Eda's motherly nature and desire to adopt and protect king as well as seemingly caring deeply for the boiling isles and its inhabitants because the titans made them. Another possibility that I have considered first when the grimwalkers were revealed with palistrom wood being component and then again when Lus decides to make an Egg for her palisman. What if all titans are asexual and actually rely on carving palistrom wood into eggs to hatch their young? This could also explain why palisman are seen as being so vital and mystical to a witch and why the bat queen was originally made (in this case to protect and nurture what is essentially their babies while still trees) giving the palisman a almsot godlike status for their connection to titans and explaining how titan blood and palisman "fluid" (for lack of better term) both seem to contain immense power with the titan blood essentially being concentrated and advanced palisman fluid.

Really enjoyed the video. One thing I think that's off is that it's the symbol that hides King from the Collector. He didn't have a collar when Eda first finds him. The symbol was on top of the temple King was born in so the Collector didn't him then and thus they also couldn't see King when his collar had the symbol on it. Anyone else thinking the same way?
Eda was the one who got him that collar itself. It's the symbol that king drew on it in echoes of the past that gives it the invisibility effect.
Maybe someone has touched on this before, but there are two known Titan skeletons. The Titan of The Boiling Isles, and the Titan of Titan Trapper Island.
We know that the Titan of The Boiling Isles is King's father, and that he trapped The Collector. Due to the amount of young Titan skeletons on Titan Trapper Island, it stands to reason that the arm of this Titan belonged to King's Mother and that all of the young skeletons were most likely his siblings.
Something else though: Titan Trapper Island/the Titan arm shows a hand with more fingers than the Boiling Isles Titan, as well as a much more animalistic styled skull, similar to Belos' transformed state, so we know that there can be stark differences in the appearances of Titans. My theory gets a bit farfetched at this point, but while watching the episode I couldn't help but notice that The Collector's eyes are the same as King's. I think that there is the potential for The Collector to be a different form of Titan, or potentially a sibling of King's that used the draining spell to steal magic and life from his siblings/potentially his parents.

The Collector reminds me of Majin Buu. Both are childish, powerful, and don’t understand that what they’re doing for fun can hurt people. A LOT.

My favorite character in Owl House is The Collector and King, otherwise known as The Titan. I adore their voice and design, as well as what kind of entity they are and how much power they possess. They are very cute and playful.
Gotta say, although it looked like Belos died, I don't think he actually did, they make sure to show that a part of him fell on Hunter, and that said part went to the Human realm (you can see in the cabin when the door closes it's because the green goop fell on the floor), and Luz does say, in his quest to get rid of witches he made himself a form that is neither human or witch

Am I wrong or did eda give king his collar? I think it's the thing king engraved in his collar that makes him invisible. I'm really sure that eda gave king his collar but everyone keeps saying kings dad gave it to him

While for the moment I find Belos as a more interesting villain the show of power the collector demostrated was terrifying

The collector is the same type of character as alistar from hazbin, bill cipher, and the like. All powerful but introduced as having fun. Everyone loves them
I hope King asks the Collector about his dad and we see a flashback.
My theory is that the Titan Trappers worship The Collector because King's father and the other Titans trapped him in that in between dimension (it's the same dimensions Luz was in when she made her first portal) because he thought The Collector was too dangerous for his son, and The Collector was very reckless and dangerous. (The ruin carved into the castle and the one King carved into his collar is actually a sort of hiding spell that only works on The Collector, which is interesting. It could also be the reason nobody found the island king's castle is on.) The Collector, obviously kinda ticked off, began fighting with the Titans, but the Titans had already made the moon stone things. In the final episodes, we can see that there have been multiple stones, all of which are broken. I believe that there were eight main Titans, all of which created their own stone to conceal the collectors power and trap him within that in between dimension. A few years after The Collectors concealment, the Titan Trappers kill their first Titan, which the Collector obviously notices since he's able to see each stone as seen in the finale. He decides to motivate the trappers to kill the rest of the Titans, which they do. But there's one problem, King. Although King didn't actually make the final stone, he's related to the titan that did, so it's a safe bet that any relative of the main eight titans are connected to that stone, so the final stone cannot be broken.
That's all I have to say about my theories.
Did anyone else notice that the mirror broke the same way the huntsman mirror broke? Does this mean he was trapped before and someone released him? Also, both the huntsman bill and the collector both talk like they met king before, I calling it king will either time travel back to where he will meet bill and the collector, maybe to discover some way to beat him.
One thing I might add - the Bat Queen. She claimed to have once been a Palisman for a giant.

Hey Eden! What do you think your Palisman would be? I think basically everyone else has said what theirs would be. Also to everyone who do you get along with the most out of the cast and what was your favorite scene to record that we’ve already seen in the show so far?
Maybe Owl beasts were companions for titans, just as a palisman for a witch or Appa for Ang (avatar), so maybe that’s why Eda’s family symbol is an owl, as a foreshadowing, and also the reason for the magic of the owl beast to be so powerful, and that also would explain the interest of the collector on this species and why they’re not seen anymore, bc the collector made them all into a curse as a punishment.
Also, it would make sense about the instant connection between Eda and King, they kind of belong to each-other
