People just need to upgrade simple they need to make new gen servers only so then all the old gen players can just have the basic rust experience until they decide to upgrade
tugboats are in the spawn entity menu and their tc priv and doors but they result a error message if you attempt to spawn them
Old gen holding it back they just gotta make a ps5 version and do new updates there

I run a full pop server with lots of bases and quite a few big ones and I haven't had any problem with stuff rendering in right away

Hey! Just to clarify on the coloured name for community servers, as I understand that can cause some confusion. In our latest update (1.86), our primary goal was to address the connection issues that players were experiencing. The root cause of these problems lies in the substantial stress placed on the system each time a player refreshes the server list. When this action is multiplied across thousands of players simultaneously, it tends to overload the service, causing some hiccups (that's when the error messages start to appear). To tackle this issue, we've made adjustments, including the removal of coloured codes in names. This change contributes to speeding up the refresh process, and when combined with other optimizations, it enables the system to handle refresh requests much more efficiently.
With that said, we do think that the colour code is pretty cool, so we plan to add it back at some point in the near future! 😁

I'm pretty sure the contract for last gen optimization ends in February or sometime around then so helis might be possible not within then next 6 months and with at least 2-3 months to fully cook in test branch. It is possible just not soon lol

My server is max pop every night with some big bases and I disconnect all the time flying around in no clip.
Just just released 3.5 maps and they have 4k maps for build servers so it's a possibility we might get 4k maps this year..... Maybe.... And they said we are getting a ocean update in March so I'm hoping sea labs
I will say that the lag could be ping or fps on console so maybe if you can lower your graphics and bring the text back

We next gem player usually mean make a another rust specifically for next gen by all means we love old gen we all came from it but other games have made next gen versions and kept old gen versions

They are aware old gen is holding it back, but they are also aware a lot of old gen users are spending money on skins, don't think they will drop them anytime soon. I think (if possible) it would be better for everyone if they were able to make new gen only servers and have old gen servers that new gens could still play on if they trying to play with friends on old gen

The bugs aren't fixed because old gen is horrible I play on series x and ps5 and the graphics are horrible

You keep scoffing and saying bigger maps. But if you're complaining about your old gen console not being able to render then it won't render any different with a bigger map. My series X can render 3x everything heavily modded maps with tons of massive bases easily even with no clip or teleporting into a massive base. Sounds like you need to take some money to get you a next gen or just go to PC. Bigger maps do not make it less laggy, they make it more laggy because more bases can be built and more stuff to render.

Why don't they just release these good monuments and let the old gens crash and see for themselves old gen is holding their game back ark ascended dropped old gen and most of all gta is about to too and if they don't do something exciting to the game before gta 6 comes out rust will fail royaly
You do understand that the people who bought the game would file for a class action lawsuit since they would actually not be happy that they got swindled out of 30 bucks and trust me a lot of people would be mad because then they wouldn’t be able to play with the game and have their skins. You gotta look at the legal implication of things.

I don’t know about the lawsuit, games and products go obsolete. You buy a new TV the company can stop supporting it. But maybe. But more definitely why would they do this unless they felt like it was going to create a big uptick in new players and/or prevent players from leaving. They are running a business and lots of those old gen people that folks pick on are probably spending massive amounts on skins. Don’t burn the bridge unless you know you can walk on water.
I@CStewWV when you buy a game that's pvp or even mmos ect you never truly own the game for instant you can get ban from said game and not able to play it again. They have all rights to there game. The can do wtf they want. If your on old gen get a job learn to save. Or if your a teen get a paper round. Wash some cars. Fuckin Jesus new gens been out nearly 4 years. At some point you need to start asking yourself if your the problem.
Because a it still makes them money and b they likely also a have a descent chunk on old gen
