      One thing I haven't seen anyone really touch on, or maybe I've missed it, is the difference between *a* Sentinel Crucible and *the* Demonic Crucible.
      What are the major differences between the two? I mean, the obvious assumption is that the Dark Lord created it after seeing the Crucibles of the Sentinels.
      It's purpose was to completely drain the Elemental Wraiths of their power, right? The same energy used to purify the Hell Essence into Argent Energy.
      It's mentioned multiple times that the Hell Essence is significantly more powerful than the Wraith Energy, so why would the Dark Lord even need the Demonic Crucible in the first place?
      I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of DOOM 2016 lore. I could easily be forgetting something important here.

      @@PandemoniumVice On the contrary, I think Demonic Crucible exist before sentinel (maykr based) crucible. The known fact here, Demonic crucible is more powerful & could hold limitless amount of argent energy (hell essence/energies + wraith energies/souls), so it make sense to be the "original" version of a crucible. My theory is the demonic crucible is actually wraith based magic tech artifact, but it was corrupted by hell so it could hold raw hell essences too. That's why in DOOM 2016, the wraiths could be freed from their shackles via demonic crucible, it was their magic tech artifact in the first place.
      No, Argent energy is the most powerful one cause it's a combination of hell & wraiths energies, basically a purified solutions & it could be produced much faster because human & argenta tortured souls take eons to form into hell energy in the well.

      About the priest being corrupt by the crucible, is worth nothing that Hayden uploaded himself on the Slayer's fortress and that the crucible is now powering it, also I wonder if there's any physiological resemblance between seraphim and the corrupted priest, since that would point even more to Hayden being the seraphym, and why ultimately the slayer would worry about him becoming corrupted. I also have not understand about the difference between the seraphym and the maykr and how the latter degrade over time...

      Your argument might be convincing if not for the fact that Samuel Hayden is almost certainly a narcissist if not a psychopath.
      Just based on his speech and his mannerisms, he does a lot to try and deflect responsibility away from himself, he uses this giant ass robot body, menacing computerised voice and a 10-foot lever to turn on the argent tower, he's trying to project his own power. it's very evident that he doesn't care.
      He has absolute disdain for both the slayer and for hell itself, his forays into hell and capturing demons, shit like the cyberdemon project and his tolerances for Olivia pierces bullshit for ages show just how little he cares and how supremely arrogant he is, he sees himself as superior to everything else, including hell, the Doom slayer, the demons, the maykrs and even the other humans.

      @maninblak1941 Před 4 lety +5

      Moritami Kamikara you’re right, he clearly believes he is always in the right and that only he knows what’s good and what’s necessary. Which would also be a reasonable motive for someone like the Seraphim, who greatly disapproves of the Khan Makyr’s actions and believes only he can right the wrongs done. You are also right in that he believes he is so superior, bc for most of the beings he is. And as for his fellow makyrs (if my theory is correct) he probably views them as corrupt and thus feels he is indeed better than them. Samuel Hayden is defiantly a megalomaniac and seeks to control everything in order to ensure what he believes is good. But that doesn’t mean he and Samur Makyr are not one in the same. It just makes sense to me that Samuel Hayden as Samur would also look for every opportunity to gain more power, and that his creating the Doom Slayer was all a means to an end.

      i feel if your Hayden, you spent your entire life researching energy, get balls deep into argent, realize your against your own expiration date to follow through, transfer yourself biomechanically, discover family blood is involved (Seraphim) Only to watch this "egg headed Marine with no appreciation of the work" come along... Hayden sees himself (up until he understands the full being of the slayer) just as fitting to be the savior, wield the crucible. Then in Doom Eternal, we see him ripped in half clinging to life... the audience see's this as a turning point. Hayden starts pitting himself against the Maykrs and how it could have been done differently. He respects Doom guy, as he learned somewhere in there his own place in the madness. I feel it was more a jealousy/ Snobbish up nosing intelligence than it was condescending. I hear you though. Even at the end when he says "The very argent you chose to destroy on mars is what will save us in the end." once Kahn invades the Slayers ship and didn't know he had the Wraith Crucible on him...

    I'm 99.99% confident that is a Doom Hunter aka Agaddon Hunters from the Telos realm. The horns, the metallic/electronic eyes, etc, everything is exactly the same as the Doom Hunters we face.
    When i first saw that creature in the base, my first thought was that this one must've been an adult Agaddon Hunter since it has 4 arms, while the Doom Hunters we face have two. It is more than likely that the Doom Hunters we face are clones of this creature since the Agaddon hunters are known to be extinct. They are possibly grown within those caskets we see scattered throughout the Cultist base and Doom Hunter base.

Based on Codex, despite the hive mind consciousness connection, the maykrs still have its own independent mind & some of the high tier maykrs have its own domains/worlds to govern. Seraphim/Samur Maykr rebellion & stole Father's core/essence clearly a total surprise to The Khan Maykr, so we can save to assume that this hive mind consciousness could not read personal mind or telepathically mind control/enforce a maykr. Or maybe Samur is indeed such a rare case, a glitch, a mutant maykr from Father's creation. In any case, we still don't know how, why, & when exactly seraphim/samur maykr stole father essence.

This is also why "the mysterious voice" screams "noooo!" When the Khan Mayker dies. Obviously this voice must belong to something in Hell we have not encountered yet, and Hell has struck a good deal with the Khan Mayker for one, but I also think the plan was to corrupt the Khan Mayker until it belonged completely to the armies of Hell.

They weren't corrupt in the beggining, they were actually pretty neutral, or even good. So these angels are reincarnating. Once the Khan Maykr ages for 10 000 years, they basically die and get reborn as a new, smarter and better Khan Maykr, but this is only possible if The Father is around, but Samur Maykr, The Seraphim took the consciousness of The Father in secret, and just got away with it. • @novakastmusic
      @novakastmusic Před 4 lety +20

      Nope, Maykrs are definitely nor ancient nor demon. I have read the lore. A thing called The Father "mayd" the Maykrs. The Maykrs were communicating with them all the time. The Maykrs didn't fucking know what the fuck was going on, Daddy just disappeared... So... They can't reincarnate anymore, which means, shit, they gonna die. Guess what, they really didn't wanna die. So they found a method. This is the point where they turned evil.
      Now I don't really know the timeline, but the Maykrs did business with Sentinels. Meanwhile, the Maykrs struck a deal with The Dark Lord (basically Satan himself). The deal went like this: - I let you engulf planets and people, but you give us juicy energy; - No Angel shall step in Hell, No Demon shall step in Urdak.
      So Basically, the Sentinels didn't know what was going on, but they literally got fed with the energy of their own people's torture and suffering. Then they discovered Nekravol, the place where the energy stuff happens. They went like "Shit... We got bamboozled. This bitch lied... Ye we having a fun time up there but this is what happens to our fallen brothers?"
      And this is when the Civil War happened. One side stuck with the Maykrs (because of juicy energy) , one side against them. The Doom Slayer was against the Maykrs obviously. Then some of the good sentinels, with The Doom Slayer as well (whomst are against the Maykrs) went back to hell and fight. Unfortunately, The Betrayer was there with them. Then the Betrayer got bamboozled and trapped everyone in there, they still fought until the end of their lives. But... The Doom Slayer was still ravaging hell. While the Betrayer locked himself up in a "corner of shame", The Doom Slayer did his stuff as usual, almost eradicating hell, nothing much. But THEN... The Doom Slayer got baboozled too. They literally made an entire temple fall on the dude. And then they locked The Doom Slayer in a coffin.
      And then DOOM 2016 happened and then DOOM Eternal happened.

      novakast. While you are definitely right about all that, the Father made the Makyrs a long, long, long time ago. They had vast influence over many cultures and religions even before argent d’nur and the sentinels, so I would most definitely call them ancient. It’s never specified which came first though, Urdak or Hell. All we know is they have been around long before any other civilizations we know of in the doom universe (aside from maybe the wraiths?) which is why I said it is totally possible that Hell originated from the Father/Makyrs, just like the story of Lucifer/Hell in the Bible. In the Bible, God (the father) created Angels (Makyrs). Eventually, one of those Angels ( Lucifer) fell from grace and heaven, resulting in the creation of hell and demons.

    The Doom Hunter is a new type of enemy introduced in Doom Eternal. It was originally known as the Agaddon Hunter from the Telos Realm, a demon species which was specifically designed to hunt the Doom Slayer and his fellow Night Sentinels during an event called "the Unholy Crusade." While the species was supposedly rendered extinct long ago, at least one Agaddon Hunter somehow made it to Earth, hibernating for millennia in a remote region of what would become Antarctica. During the Hellish invasion of Earth, UAC cultists discovered the Agaddon Hunter's remains and excavated it from its icy prison. The demon was revived (possibly cloned, given the multiple specimens battled through the campaign) and mechanically augmented by the cultists under the supervision of Deag Ranak, who personally considered them to be his finest creations. Three Doom Hunters were used as Ranak's personal guardians, being sent against the Doom Slayer when he breached the cultists' base. The Doom Hunter's cybernetic augmentations are extensive, with the only visible remnants of the original demon being its head, right arm, and half of its upper torso. The rest of its body is mechanical, including a large cannon, a twin-barred chainsaw arm, and a set of thrusters that allow it to move through the air. It can also interface with a "sled," a hovertank-like apparatus equipped with dual machine guns, rocket launchers, and a shield generator that protects the Doom Hunter's main body from harm.----------------- this is what the chained up creature is, they are agaddon hunters

    I feel that Hayden IS Seraphim for a number of reasons. A. He immediately knew where the last Hell Priest was, the first thing he says to you is "The Final Hell Priest is on Sentinel Prime." Even with a vast knowledge of Hell, It's impossible to know at the drop of a hat where one very specific person is. This could be attributed to the Codex saying all Maykr's share the same mind, while being completely unique but unable to deviate from the Khan's whim, the only Maykr that could was Seraphim who still had access to the shared hive-mind(Sorta like the Geth). B. He knew exactly how to reach Urdak. His extensive knowledge of Hell, were he human, would not give him insight on that the portal would reach it given a demon or Sentinel had never set foot on Earth. C. This may be stretching a bit, but he knew exactly where to look for the Doom Slayer in Hell after his imprisonment. No hunting different realms, straight to the Kadinger Sanctum. D. He constantly goes on how if there was different leadership, things could have been different, and talks as if he has personal history with the Khan(s). E. And this is somewhat superficial, but Samuel Hayden and Seraphim share the same voice actor I believe(if not the voices are nigh identical, again superficial and may just be cause they didn't have anyone else to do it. It wouldn't be the first time one person did many voices in a game). E. Nothing is known about Hayden's early life, despite what he has told people, for all intents and purposes, he showed up, and became the head of the UAC Mars division rather fast. F. Hayden knows more about the Slayer than any other being in existence, despite maybe the Khan. If you make something, you should know all there is to know out it. G. The Seraphim stole the Father when he left Urdak, unable to be tracked, he still remains wanted. One of, if not the first thing Hayden did was "create" the AI VEGA, using rather "alien" tech. On Urdak, once VEGA is plugged into Urdak, he asks "Am I the Father, Dr. Hayden" alone with his voice changing.

    Love your vids. Realy helping me with combining all the hints together. I'm glad that CZcams recommend your channel to me. Now onto the topic.
    First the language: It can be translated, I think, because if you watch Mick Gordon's livestream about Eternal's soundtrack, he explains how they made up language for the soundtrack (don't remember well, but kar en tuk means rip and tear if I'm correct). They made up this language using demons' and other things' names (like cyberdemon could have been decymon or something like that on that language). Just like that the sentinel language can be translated, it's just we should figure out how to do that.
    Second: The mastermind is similar to khan biologically, but I think it's armor looks strange too. It might be that just as khan maykr made argent energy with the help of hell, the hell might have made mastermind's armor using maykr technology. I don't know, may be just my theory.

    So we're just not gonna talk about the maykrs? Okay hear me out. The maykr bodies (both the giant body in the vat of purple water AND the Khan Maykr when you kill her and her armor is stripped off her face) without armor bear a pretty striking resemblance to the arch vile. Tan leathery skin, exposed brain, rather uniform design of their eyeballs, the jagged teeth, etc. We know Maykrs are an ancient race and that arch-viles are a very old species of demon. Could arch-viles therefore be descended from the maykrs? Maybe fallen/corrupted maykrs evolved into arch-viles? Who knows?

    • @adhurimsheji9337
      @adhurimsheji9337 Před 4 lety +1

      This doesn't make much sense, because the Archvile is a descendent from the eldest race of demons, therefore we can assume its very old. The Maykrs are very old themselves, but Khan Maykr herself had no idea what the demons were before meeting the Doom Slayer.

    The game confirms that Samuel Hayden was previously Samur Makyr, aka The Seraphim. He had to know extensive details about his own biology and chemistry in order to transfer to the robot body. That's why he might know exactly what his former biochemical signal looked like to Makyr technology, so could easily mask Doom Guy.
    With the hidden lines present and leaving VEGA in Urdak, I think one DLC could set up events after the end of Eternal. The scale of events happening on earth and the degree to which the biomass tendrils (esp. the titan size tentacles) aren't fully accounted for in Super Gore Nest. I kept expecting a super space gore nest to be shown approaching earth, or something on that scale. "For your fight...is Eternal" made me think there was something huge about to happen right after the camera zoomed out. After all, Urdak did not create hell and the original non-cyberized demons but merely made crusades there and took up shop in Nekravol, vastly speeding up the processes with Argent and the Nekravol tower. I personally want to see a huge expanded universe with different slayers guarding or fighting throught different dimensions to protect or avenge their worlds...
    The chained up creature on the sort of "cross" with only upper half remaining, resembes the Aggadon Hunters in all but number of arms. The head, body, arm shape, horns and cybernetic implants are identical. The codex entries detail Aggadon Hunters as being huge, and I could see a variation in size/number of arms being common. In 2016 the Baalgar skulls found in game also showed great variation, ranging from Hell Knight to Titan scale.

    Hayden and Seraphim have the same voice actor and have nearly identical tone and intonation in their speech, so it implies they are one and the same, maybe Seraphim was shunted into a human body after his betrayal, or he assumed the original Haydens memories and body. Him possessing the original Hayden or even just being the original himself would explain why his android body is so alien, and why it looks so similar to a bipedal maykr.

    The Priest's face does appear similar to both Spider Mastermind and the Khan Maykr and Olivia Pierce was told by Hell that she would become a god. Perhaps this is referring to the Maykrs as the gods that can enter Argent d'Nur and by extension Urdak. The priest may be another entity in Urdak and thus why he bares the Sentinel mark. Also, the Khan Maykr was wearing a mask which the slayer broke that could mean the priest is not wearing his mask as well

    Is it just me, or did the “demonic priest” statue kinda look like a Makyr? I mean, think about it. The exposed teeth and pattern of the horns look eerily similar to that of Makyr angels and the two winged creatures bellow it look a lot like the gargoyles dotted around sentinel cities and the fortress of doom. Just a thought.

    The spider mastermind does shockingly look similar to the khan maykr. Almost everything including the mandibles, the exposed brain, and the white armor. I would also like to add that arachnotrons were made from tissue samples of the mastermind, most likely to resemble her, conversely to the khan maykr being made from the image of all maykrs

    I kind of wrote off the massive demon as “oh it must be an Apex Doom Hunter” cause it has the same face, even the same facial cyber augmentations as the doom hunter you fight, it’s just bigger. And cultist base is right before that boss fight so it’s possible they couldn’t revive this Apex Doom Hunter itself and instead used tubes to extract its bone marrow, ripped out its guts to study how the intestines work etc so that they could make a normal doom hunter. Additionally the DH corpse you see before the boss fight is cut off at the exact same place, the only difference between the DH and Apex one being size and one extra set of arms

    Kronos could explain the previous lack of Doom Hunters if the RPG is to be considered canon. If Doomguy knew about the type of enemy Kronos is prior, then it would make sense for them to be ruthlessly put through genocide at Doomguy's hand because of Kronos's antics. from there, the Hell Priests managed to augment them and turn them into Doom Hunters, which also explains how Kronos couldn't withstand a BFG to the face, but these guys can.

With all the rehashing, continuation, continuety between the old and new games, and canonization of old elements I would love to see Id continue this trend with a full size expansion for Doom Eternal.

    The concept art for the priest resembles a Makyr Angel more than it does a demon. And the robed arms makes it look like Samur. If the "dark priest consumed by the crucible" is Samur/Samuel Hayden... That actually makes sense.
