El 14 de mayo de 1962 fue un dia grande para España y para Grecia y la historia lo ha demostrado.
Doña Sofía, una mujer bella, elegante, con enorme clase y un comportamiento exquisito a lo largo de las décadas; en definitiva, una gran señora y una gran Reina. Letizia, la reina consorte actual, no le llega ni a la altura del zapato.
I find ironic how the royal situation of the respective countries bridge and groom come from had reversed 2 decades after the married.
In 1962, Juan Carlos' status was a bit unclear as Spain's monarchy only existed on paper. Sofia on the other was unambigously a princess.
Fast forward two decades later to 1982. Juan Carlos indeed became King of Spain and Sofia became Queen. However Greece had become a republic by that time.
