Dairy is a go and there's a dozen jobs to be done

- I got a thumbs-up on the loan application so I'm going to drive on with the dairy plan.
There's lots of work to be done between now and next February, including putting heifers in calf, widening roadways gaps and filling potholes, planning new roadways, improving air and light in the cubicles, selling the next beef cattle, and a dozen other jobs I can't even remember now!
I love to see a stock man walking amongst his animals and they are very content to let him its a great sign of a great stockman well that's what my father always told me so I grow up with the same opinion, enjoyed the video thank you for sharing

You could put a chamfer of mortar on the inside of the block wall out to the outside to prevent the water coming in.

Fair play to you for having a go at dairy, its not for everyone. It will be a lot of hard graft but youve clearly given it a lot of thought.

Not much experience of reseeding but I wonder if land getting badly poached over the winter may make it worse then if reseeded from grassland in spring.

With the price of milk you would want to be very careful with borrowing too much
No fear of dairy farmers they are protected species.
Good man exciting times. Was there a reason you went with an Angus bull and not a Friesan so you’d have replacements.
I’m not breeding any replacements this year. I won’t have any room so all but 10 calves will be sold at 3 weeks next year
