Wanted to fly internationals in the past but heard too many bad reviews and domestics were always OK. Plus SAA has a history of being one of the most expensive.
2 think i received my wings at SAA in 70s,, then flew 70/80// we were so well trained by very strict instructors,, flew all over the world,, then it only had Boeings 747 Jumbos,, one of the best aircrafts,, i flew so many times out from Jan Smuts airport,, then it was only a small single building,, before 1994 was such a great country,now a shit hole,, rape murder killings,, blocked drains, pot holed streets dirty, not a country to visit anymore,, such a pity to hear of all the fraud corruption by anc people
I love those take offs when the plane turns onto the runway without stopping and going full throttle!! Ohh the adrenaline!!!
Me too. Only experienced it on Emirates and American Airlines. Quickest rotation was on an SAA A320 out of Cape Town.
