    Useful, though I'd suggest NOT continuously topping up the external aquaroll tank from the garden hose whilst running the caravan taps, to flush out the Puriclean at the end. As you say, you are continuously 'diluting' the Puriclean - theoretically you'll never get rid of the Puriclean completely - it's just some sort of 'exponential decay', mathematically. Better to let the Aquaroll run dry (if your pump doesn't object), then refill the Aquaroll with fresh water and repeat. I'm about to use Puriclean for the first time - thanks for the tips.

    You should do the taps separately so that the flow is faster through the pipe which will wash more muck off the interior of the pipes.

    You shouldn't leave your hook up cable in a coil as it can cause a fire.

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  Před 3 měsíci

      Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. You are correct about not leaving the hook up cable cooiled when in use and pulling a high current load. The caravan was in storage as such, being on the Drive, and the only load was via the battery charger, so there is no risk. I should have made that clear in the vlog. Thanks for highlighting it, though, and if I was to use more systems in the Caravan, I would have unwound it.

    so what your saying is you clean the system and then you flush it using a hose which has biofilm most likely i.e re infecting your system? or have you puricleaned your hose first?

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Ken, Thanks for commenting, I agree, I guess its about reducing the risk, I clean the caravan water system, and before flushing although didn't show it flush the hose through, I also use compressed are when I have finished using the hose to blow through any residual water, to reduce the chance of any build up of possible contaminants. It might be worth investing in a food grade hose for this very purpose, Thanks for watching and happy camping.

    I’m fairly new to all this and found your video brilliant. I’m going to get some of this to clean my system today. On completely separate note I’ve noticed your orange power lead is quite tightly coiled under the van. I was advised that this can be dangerous?

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  Před rokem +1

      Hello, thank you. I'm glad I could help. You are correct. The orange kead should not be coiled up under the caravan when in use. This could be a fire hazard if you are using devices that will be pulling lots of current. I should have probably moved the lead or uncoiled it. As the Caravan was on the drive at the time being stored, it wasn't in use so safe to store the cable thia way. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching. Happy Camping. James

      Hello Kevin White. I wouldn't think it would be a good idea for the drinking water system at all. You would need to be sure you got rid of 100% of the residue in the complete water system and it may also have an effect on the stainless steel components in your water boiler. Even Milton attacks the stainless steel parts. Hope that helps. Happy Camping. James
