- A pair of videos show Southbridge Police Officer Duane Ledoux overcome with emotion when he hear's his son Nate's voice. Nate, who is standing in the department headquarters, proudly says: 'It is my sincere pleasure to announce that on this day, after 32.5 years of service, my father, Southbridge Police Officer Duane Ledoux, is retiring and has given his final code five'. Duane fights back tears as he thanks the department and his family, including Nate's brother Nick, who died years ago in a car accident.

For 32 years of police work, he looks in amazing health and really youthful. Congratulations, officer.
They have to look that way, it’s a part of the job.
Who else saw the other version (through the son side)
Just came from that video.
Imagine working odd hours for 32 years. Dangerous work. Your loved ones living in fear that one day they will get that dreaded visit from his precinct captain. 32 years of seeing pain and suffering. Dealing with difficult situations. Being hated by some, just for wearing that uniform. All for a regular salary; never will you be wealthy. Seeing colleagues get hurt or even killed. Thank you sir, for your service. Your tears show what kind of a cop you've been all those years. You really cared. Time to go fishing and enjoy those little things. Time for peace!
Congratulations on being able to go home after 30+ years. Thank you for your service and dedication.
