Triplets are defined as 3 notes played in the space of 2 "normal" notes. Which means that those are 8th notes triplets. Which is confirmed by how they are written in the program - as 8th notes with triplets cover sign on them.
There are 4 crotchet beats in a bar here. He plays 6 triplets. That means that for every 2 crotchet beats he plays 3 triplets. That is the definition of crotchet triplets.
It's hard to tell but on the sheet music, the line above the notes isn't actually turning them into quavers, it's showing they're triplets. Usually, that line isn't necessary though
