১৫ আগস্ট বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের মৃত্যুবার্ষিকীতে ধানমন্ডি ৩২ নম্বরে, আওয়ামী লীগ বা এর সহযোগী সংগঠনের নেতাকর্মীদের উপস্থিতি ছিলো না। বিচ্ছিন্নভাবে কেউ কেউ সেখানে শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে গেলেও বাধার মুখে পড়েন। এদিকে শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে বঙ্গবন্ধুর মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী পালিত হয়েছে গোপালগঞ্জ, শরিয়তপুর ও্ নারায়ণগঞ্জে। অন্যদিকে রাজধানীর বনানী কবরস্থানেও শ্রদ্ধা জানানো হয়।
On August 15, the death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi No. 32, Awami League or its affiliated organizations were not present. Separately, some went there to pay their respects but faced obstacles. Meanwhile, Bangabandhu's death anniversary was peacefully celebrated in Gopalganj, Shariatpur and Narayanganj. On the other hand, tributes were also paid at the capital's Banani cemetery.

উপস্থিতি ছিল না একথা বলা ঠিক না, শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে যাওয়া লোক জনকে বাধা দেওয়া হয় গাড়ি ভাঙচুর তছনছ করা হয়, আবার নিরপেক্ষ সংবাদ প্রচার হচ্ছেনা!!!
আল্লাহ সবাইকে হেদায়েত দান করুন একটি ছবির সামনে ফুল দিয়ে শ্রোদ্ধা নিবেদন করা আর একটি দেবির সামনে ফুল দিয়ে ঐ একই কাজ করা সমান নয় কি । আপনি বলুন কোন যুক্তিতে এটাকে শিরক বলা যাবে না। যার বিবেক আছে সে এই ধরনের ব্যাক্তি বা দলের কাছ থেকে দুরে থাকবে
