I understand why some are going for Godzilla minus one. I was blown away by a number scene and love the film. Though I don’t think it should win best VFX since it had a number of shoddy VFX scenes that didn’t look great. Though given its small budget makes sense. Meanwhile I think The Creator on the other hand from start to finish had an impressive VFX that never looked bad.

Most of these are good nominations though.
In my opinion, the most egregious snubs are in the Score category, especially for The Boy and the Heron and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. As well as May December for anything else.
Personally, I don’t think Greta Gerwig or Margot Robbie were snubbed for Barbie; I wouldn’t replace the actual nominees with them, and the film has eight other nominees. Greta Lee (Past Lives) was definitely snubbed for Actress though.
In the categories of Best Leadind Actor and Actress, there will be injustices that can only be explained because Holywood in the USA (and its ally BAFTA in the UK) will seek to reward performances from the commercial industry.
The Best Leading Actress, by far this awards season, is the german Sandra Hüller 🇩🇪, she is the heart of "Anatomy of a fall" 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, a true gem of european and international cinema. But clearly the winner tonight will be Emma Stone or Lily Gladstone, only because they are american actresses 🇺🇲 and from the mainstream.
For the same reason, "Oppenheimer" will win Best Picture, but the one that deserves it most is "Anatomy of a Fall", although it will not win, because it's a french film 🇨🇵, very far from the big Hollywood productions.
For Leading Actor, I have no problem seeing Cillian Murphy win 🇮🇪, because he does superbly in "Oppenheimer", but if it were up to me, I'd give the Oscar to Paul Giamatti 🇺🇲, an actor from another planet 👏👏🏻👏🏻 I've admired him since I saw him in "Sideways", 2004.

the only tight category is best actress between Emma and Lily everything else quite opposite this year is pretty predictable, Oppenheimer is gonna take it
They'll go with Spider-Verse. It's not as confusing as Heron and it's less abstract in story. It will win even though many feel different as Toy Story 4 won that by popularity and kid voting alone.
Can you do this obscure Japanese revenge movie called mermaid legend 1984, it’s an amazing movie. Definitely watch the trailer. The OST Is refreshing!

Emma Stone should win! Lilys' narrative should only get her a nomination. Personally, Emma Stone gave the best performance and should win.
It should be a meritocracy, but this is the Academy we're talking about...
I personally liked Huller the most out of the list. Lily would have been my 2nd pick tho over Emma.

Maestro should lose. I explain why in a video I posted on my CZcams channel titled THE REAL MAESTRO. The press made Bernstein their sacred cow and slanted all the coverage. While conducting all 9 of Beethoven's Symphonies on TV, he purposely made them sound noisy, even adding more trumpets to create a trumpet heavy sound. Then he does an interview where he says, "Beethoven's orchestrations are BAD! He has the trumpets sticking out! They're drowning out everybody else." He commits vandalism against Beethoven and then lies about him to diminish his stature. As a conductor, Bernstein was a fraud. This movie treats him like the Saint of Classical Music.
