@@BrainHurricanes you are more than welcome to cross a street in a crosswalk, you may ride your bike on the street, hell do whatever you want to. But the street is built and maintained for the conveyance of motor vehicles. All those other uses are ancillary, and should be aware that they are in traffic. I have no problem with people doing those things, only that they start to act like they are the primary purpose door the existence of the road. How many running shoe sales tax, horseshoe tax, panier taxes have you heard of that go to pay for maintenance or building of roadways?

But for me, as a motorized vehicle user I am equally resposible for the safety of others, I have to be able to stop on a dime for anything that gets in my way. For everyones safety, not only mine. Fault or not does not matter, nobody seems to understand this basic thing. Fault is only for ensurance, and they screw you over anyway if the can, I talk from experiance! So to be able to stop in time I have to constantly drive/ride, considering others. Not only to use the road as I see fit (because I pay road taxes and they don't ?). Only on highways, there is no place for pedastrians, horses, etc. I personally know someone who ran into anymals. They absolutely didn't belong there, he was under the speed limit, so he had nothing to blame, couldn't have stopped. Guess how he felt (for weeks, months) after he saw the anymals bleeding and dying on the road ? It totalled the motorized vehicle also. So no matter how tough I am, or think I'm right, I don't want to experiance the same. You ? So no, as a primary road tax payer I don't act like I own the road eighter, we all share it. The biker in question didn't slow down at first, acing like he owned the road, he also thinks to own the right to make others (kids, anymals, adults) miserable with a loud exhaust. I can enjoy the nice sound of a bike also, others don't, so I have to respect that. The ladies with the horse where absolutely right, but who listens to what they say ? They where acting like stupid biatches, who have to keep their horses and children inside, because I'm entitled, I pay road taxes ? Sorry if I made you angry and you still don't understand that you don't want to be in an accident, even if you are 100% in your right.

I've spent way more time riding horses than I did riding motorcycles... So I know that "horse people" are some of the biggest dicks out there, sorry to say. Especially in situations in traffic; they expect and demand every single other road user to give them full consideration (often for what comes down to their poor handling of the horse). In that respect they are worse than bikers, even.

@@bruvicious8624 I'd go dirt bike, draws less attention from the cops, more comfortable riding position, cheaper insurance than a sport bike, offroad capabilities. Ultimately doesn't matter though as long as you're riding and having fun.

True but there's a chance they'll let you go if you're cool about it. Depends on the officer's demeanor and which city you're in, I've gotten a few warnings by not fighting them on it.

@Lord Robert Lee of Dixie I have had a mix of experience with LEOs, but they also see the worst parts of society and that can take a toll on a person. A cop that gives you attitude might have just saw someone die.

Yip, I am not a fan of him but I really like that 1290. I am also from South Africa and with the lockdown last year around August there were almost not traffic on the main high ways and so I ended up one day having a bit of fun with a turbo Mazda 3😂😂😂
