I hear your smut with no plot, and I raise you: smut with plot, but it's very poorly written and slapped together so it doesn't seem like just smut even though you can tell its main driving force is smut.
if someone is making smut without plot they most likely are targeting the audience of “I want to see characters fuck” and that’s it. Don’t complain if you don’t like it because it clearly isn’t for you then
It's even worse when the 'sticker' is literally just printed into the cover of the book. I had this issue with the Witcher paperback series having 'Now on Netflix!' printed on the cover. I paid 40 dollars per book for the collectors edition hardcover versions instead of the 12 dollar paperback just to avoid the sticker ruining the cover.
Huge yes to the Target stickers and real people on covers. The stickers never come off smoothly and the models on the cover make it harder to imagine the characters the way I want (or even how they are described in the book).
I mean I don’t mind long chapters. I actually have issues with short chapters. If the chapter is only a couple of pages that feels like I'm being robbed of potential story
