This video changed my life. I watched it the day it came out and booked my VSG at the OCC in Mexico literally 2 days later. It was one of the best decisions of my entire life. I had mine done on April 26th, 2023 and it is now July 13th and I’m down 46lbs. My body fat percentage went from 52% to 33.6%, I’m able to dance and do yoga again (which was an ability I lost when gaining weight because my body was so heavy and uncomfortable that I stopped working out all together). Food no longer controls my life and I’m able to focus on things that bring me true joy now. I feel beautiful again, which I haven’t felt in about 2 years. My most received complement is, “you look so happy” 😭. As someone who’s battled depression, this is the most meaningful compliment I can receive. Thank you for posting this video Breeny 💗 you literally changed my life. ❤

But nothing compared to how I used to eat. However, I do have to exercise discipline . To make sure I stay on track. The futher out , the less restrictions you have . Which is why many people gain the weight back. When they gain it back it comes back double.

Being downright rude, no boundaries and completely unsympathetic was something I just had to start expecting. I find it funny no one ever told me at 300lbs to put the pizza down but now they will say ‘you arent going to eat that’ or ‘thats all you are gonna eat.’ You cant please people, just do you.

She has a lovely face and beautiful skin I can see why she's a model.
But it's difficult because 'transparency' comes with consequences beyond a disclaimer - she didn't owe anyone an explanation as to the method of weight loss so maybe best to keep private at the risk of being accused of advertising or at the very least influencing others?
Not meaning to sound harsh but £50 discount is a joke and could be seen on one 1 hand showing a lack of respect to her and other young ladies considering this life-changing procedure. But then maybe it might put ppl off who are are not ready for such a big choice?
With respect, she is not a 'random girl' - but a highly influential person to impressionable people.
She has a successful brand why tarnish it if there is a potential someone else could have a negative experience? The company is reaping great benefits, especially at this time of the year. She had to pay from her own pocket, no real discount - I don't get it? Did she get paid? If not why mention the company?
Anyway, no comment on the actual surgery and her results as I wish her all the best.
But she is right - do your own due diligence on these surgeries for obvious reasons. If you're feeling pressure from sm please delete whichever app makes you feel unhappy.
And remember you are already beautiful 💟

Thank you for being completely transparent about your weight loss. I feel like people who’ve never struggled with their weight long term do not understand our plight and make false assumptions like saying what you did was the easy way out. Fat people catch so much hell for every decision we make whether we’re losing weight or not. Im not against any form of weight loss treatment as long as it’s done and monitored by medical professionals and you qualify for it. Losing weight is so hard no matter what route you take. My mom was morbidly obese and had to have that surgery. I suffered from depression and anxiety which caused me to gain 50 pounds after being a healthy weight for most of my teenage years. I’m now in the process of trying to lose that weight. I look back and realized I was tiny, despite people saying that about me I didn’t believe it. I’ve tried pills and they didn’t work. I’m a broke college student so I can’t afford medication like Ozempic even though I qualify for it by being in the obese bmi chart. For me fasting, cutting out soda, going to therapy, taking medication and most importantly fat shredding weight training has helped a lot. I was blown away by how amazing and lighter I felt and how fast I was slimming down. As a petite woman, doing short fat burning weight exercises helped a lot despite the scale not budging. But my clothes fit better.

Dear breeny, I rarely comment on CZcams videos.. But the impact you have on me and many other women just compels me to let you know what you already know. First of, I wanna congratulate you on your weight loss, your shine is blinding my love ! but I know how hard it is to be self aware and literally knowing everything you need to do get better but just never really doing it cause your just waiting for the “right time” I have been so discouraged with this term “weight loss” cause some very close people around me made me feel that I’m only going to be worth it if I lose weight, I’ll only get married if I lose weight. But seeing people like yourself and others genuinely happy after the surgery makes me wish I did it already

Bad knees, body image issues, everyone in my office asking me if I was pregnant🙄 I'm 5'9 so I went up just one dress size. I can only imagine what getting to a size 16 did to your mental health. I have lots of respect for Breeny‘s journey and her person so I mean this comment in no way disrespectful.
That being said, I think this is important for everyone considering this surgery, even if it reaches just one person: Cutting out 85% of a healthy organ (!) that you have for a reason (many reasons) is a huge intervention. And for her to say it is non invasive is medically wrong; it is laparoscopic (meaning no big cut is made but many small ones where the instruments are inserted). I can tell you from medical experience it has a BIG impact on your life after.
So for everyone who is thinking about this surgery and is not dangerously obese: please confront your emotional eating and what is behind it.
When Breeny said that she now looks how she wants to look and buys whatever clothes she wants it breaks my heart. Because that is cool, but I guarantee you the effects on your body that you will have for the rest of your life are huge. Our health determines our lives quality and so lets treat our bodies carefully.

    • @GabrielleWoods03
      @GabrielleWoods03 Před 5 měsíci +2

Absolutely agree with this. I am not dangerously obese and I’m 23. I weighed 258 after having my 3 babies in 4 years and I knew surgery still wasn’t the option for me. I was just being lazy, not working out or moving my body and not eating healthy at all. No amount of surgery was gonna fix that for me. Also because I didn’t have a health issue it wasn’t recommended at all. Now 5 months later I have lost 23 pounds and only need to lose the rest of the 34 to get to my goal weight but it feels great to be able to run without stoping for more than 5 min, eating healthy is bomb and I get to be here for my family instead of waiting to get some type of diagnosis like diabetes/pre-diabetes/hypertension/etc. I always will believe that gastric bypass should only be the last option cause many people do it that really didn’t need too.

Forcing someone to like something they simply don’t isn’t right. You can love yourself and still want to change aspects about you. I think it takes a lot of courage to get surgery because people will judge you for it. I’m sure more people would if they knew they weren’t going to be judged. You can be ‘insecure’ about one aspect about yourself and not be a overally insecure person. It’s just about wanting to be comfortable. And lack of exercise. Most people don’t have naturally high metabolism. Eating less can be problematic for some as the body will literally adjust and hold on to that weight. Weight loss and maintaining healthy weight is a balance of eating healthy and exercising. You must also work with doctors to make sure there are no health issues contributing to weight gain and that inability to lose weight. It’s unfortunate she chose surgery so young. Unless there was a real metabolic health issue she simply needed to exercise and eat healthy. She was at best a size 14 US. It’s easy to lose 50 lbs if you put in the effort. I lost 90 lbs going from 20/22 to 8/10 US with mostly diet modification (Keto before it became popular or known) and movement. Not even major exercise just consistent movement. Parking on the top floor of the garage at work, taking the stairs vs elevator, walking at lunch or breaks. Getting up and moving more. It’s disheartening seeing young people go for surgery especially knowing the longterm health effects. I know several people that are having issues post weight loss surgery. Yes they’re skinny but they’re on disability because they can no longer work. They can’t retain the vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy.

Amazing that god gave you the grace and courage to make this video. Its unfortunate however that people are going under the knife for ascetics. Lets really consider the implications of going under the knife, not to mention that as believers what god says about vanity and risking our lives. You are putting your life at risk for beauty as you need to be put under in order for the surgeon to complete the procedure. There are so many ways to naturally achieve this goal, save your time and money. Do not put yourself at risk for ascetics which unfortunately are always reversible because of the quick fix nature of it. Invest on balancing your hormones, improving your mental health, prayer, church, connection, community, sports, diet, exercise and the weight loss will come naturally.

It was very brave of you to share this personal experience on such a platform. I really appreciate your honesty. I wouldn't trust somebody who seemed to have it all together.
You know yourself better than anyone does. You went through some tough mental challenges in your private life and we only know the overview of it. Also, body dismorphya must not be pretty.
I'm glad you feel better about yourself after this surgery. I know first hand what's it like to beat yourself up for your looks.
However, I do have one genuine concern: that you might spiral into perfectionism. The boob job is understandable because after that surgery your body changed in many ways. Nonetheless, I hope you don't try to change all of your imperfections. Perfectionism is unattainable. It's coming from someone who struggles with it too.
Maybe it's just me, but I think our generation is in a desperate search of perfection: the perfect hair, the perfect body, the perfect teeth, the spotless skin, the perfect couple... We've been deluded to think we'll ever achieve it.
Be your raw and true self. That's enough for me and that's enough for God too. Everything you need is inside.

As much as I will commend you for your transparency, I must add a piece of advice to your followers.
While it is great to see the transformation please note that The first year after bariatric surgery is usually the easiest as you get to watch yourself shrink down in size.
After that, you will have to deal with loose skin and if you don’t have the finance to maintain the loose skin…some spiral into depression. Some will need constant fillers in their face, because you may get thinner.
While you might save 4k now to have the surgery, think about the aftermath and upkeep.
Pregnancy after this surgery comes with a risk for some (I know, pregnancy already have it’s risk).
Then there is the nerve damage due to malnutrition as you will always be needing vitamins Drip and supplement because what you now eat is not enough to nourish your body. You will lose muscle mass, bones might become brittle.
If you have the money to maintain all this, then by all means go ahead, it is a good option.
I had to say something because I saw what it did to a family member. ❤

@Ame, you went on a negative rant about weight loss surgery based on ONE person's experience? You probably want to do some research. As with everything, there are positive effects from WLS that go BEYOND looking better. Many women are actually ABLE to get pregnant AFTER surgery because their hormones are balanced once they lose weight. Everyone does NOT have loose skin, and for that matter, loose skin can occur through non surgical weight loss. Vitamin deficiency mostly happen when people do not take their vitamins DAILY! It's like water, If you never drink any, you'll eventually get dehydrated. There are risks with having wls just like anything else, but there are also risks to carrying extra weight too. Many people get off all kinds of medications after wls, not to mention getting their quality of life back. Like being able to walk normally without being in pain. Posting a laundry list of all the negative that "might" or "could" happen based on one person is not good "advice". People should do their research and determine what's best for them because wls comes with pros and cons.

@@talawoods25 is that your take from what I wrote? Wow. Did you read the path I said if you can keep up with the upkeep then go ahead. I said I saw what it did to a family member, I never said it was the only one experience I have witnessed. It’s my job and what I do on a regular and I get to care for people that get to deal with the cons of the surgery but that is besides the point. I said what I said for the younger ones who would not care to do their research, because to them an influencer has done it and she is okay. What I said is not enough for you to say ‘I went on a negative rant about weight loss surgery’…that is a stretch.

@@talawoods25 she did not go on a negative rant. She simply shared her experience & added balance to the equation.
This is very new territory for most black girls. Girls/women period. Interfering with the body’s weight loss processes surgically is not something the average person is well versed in. Context is very necessary here.
If you look at the comment section, most people are applauding the actions of what they deem to be someone of influence & someone they want to be like. You need alternative perspectives here to add balance, because her followers are easily influenced.
Let us encourage dialogue here & help other women to navigate these treacherous waters in their quest for long lasting beauty. Guidance is needed. Otherwise impressionable women could be endangering themselves in the name of aesthetics. This woman’s experiences are extremely valid.

I rarely comment because I listen to you while working at my job. You always send out positive energy and the world needs all of it. However one thing I’ve noticed (I might be wrong) is that you focus a lot on your looks and how people see you which is important but not as important as how you feel about yourself i wish you can look deep inside and appreciate how beautiful you are. You impact the world so much and I’m so sad you don’t see a lot of your beauty inside and out. Our bodies will always change that’s life, but are you willing to love it through the changes?.You clearly said you will freeze fat in your stomach which means you still ain’t satisfied with your results. None of these procedures can make you feel good if you don’t love yourself inside and out. I believe you should focus more on loving yourself, appreciating yourself and accepting your body with all its changes. As we grow older we change it’s normal and I wish we women accepted that reality. This isn’t coming from a place of hate at all. I love your videos and will always watch you.😊

It's so sad that little girls look up to influencers and want to look like them when they dont even look like this naturally just shows me that most of them are quite weak mentally and also causing the unrealistic body standards on social media that are putting a lot of young girls under pressure these days.
