I swear I was stuck on Istanbul for like at least 2 years back in the day. Beating it was one of the most satisfying feelings ever. My copy was an old hand me down that had been the rental copy at Blockbuster before being put back in a box and sold. I played it until the Xbox couldn't read the disc anymore. Just yesterday I discovered it on Steam and purchased it for my laptop and am playing it again, which lead me to your Lets Play.
I really enjoyed the fist fighting mechanic when I played this. It's one of those games that makes you want to not dispose of the enemies too quickly and instead make cool little action scenes by yourself. xD

It's not really the best way to play, he's always red health because he can't dodge or parry when he could easily and tries to do cool stuff, failing at it. example at first he should have grabbed the turkish knife right away (and poke damage them) and threw a grenade at the Mp 40 turks, that's why the grenades are there for. never got less than 50% of health this way and kept the canteen always full. and always face 1\1 encounters instead of going against 3-4 of them.

Dude, you're not using your German grenades properly or wasting them completely, you're taking on five or six-odd Turks or Nazis all at once most of whom are armed to the teeth and you're not even using your MP-40 sub-machine gun, let alone your revolver. Then you're taking them all on without even bothering to sneak up on one of them at a time in a wasteful hand-to-hand combat melee brawl and even though eventually you win, you're still getting bashed around and shot left and right and your butt kicked. If you're on the hard level you have to rely on and use your weapons even more.

In the movies Indy fist-fighted single unarmed enemies, not groups of armed enemies; remember when he used a machine gun to shoot the Germans when he was rescuing his father in The Last Crusade, and he even used his revolver to avoid fighting a single arab swordsman in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The fighting style in this walkthrough is fun up to some point, but in the long term it becomes repetitive and unrealistic.
