Welcome back to another video guys, this is a RAW POV @GoPro clip of the worst case scenario when wing foiling rocky point in Fuerteventura. It can happen to all of us, in fact, if it hasn't happened to you get then you are obviously not pushing hard enough. However when you get caught out by the biggest set of the day, this is what not to do... always go over the wight water!!

Maybe tell duotone to upgrade to some rope vs the plastic surf coil leash :D
They have an advanced leash but I just threw on the standard wrist leash… to my waste leash and it was a bad choice!
Duotone doesn’t supply leashes with their wings. You use the leash of your choise. This is probably why.

Had a big set take my wing while I drifted in after the wind died, but having a drift anchor on my wing made it easy to just duck dive next to it until we got pushed into the beach.
Who has a wing anchor?!

I prefer in the winter Sotavento, because no rocks. Less waves but more secure i think. But i also destroy a wing with the shorebreak there 😪 Thx for video and your advices
Yea there is always a risk, but that’s what makes it so fun! 🤩 🤟🙏 it’s how we deal with it!
No Shark.... it's not a real nightmare unless it involves a shark chasing you... although the missing planks on the jetty must have made you thought... WTF... last time i saw you, you were rescuing yourself from the rocks at Freshwater.... keep on pushing !!!

Bad luck,and from memory that’s a couple of broken leashes for you this year.On the good side that wing could have ended up a lot worse.I felt for you having to walk across those rocks and the broken pier.
Yea it was recoverable no worries, I could have saved it, just bad strategy 😂😅
Dont be to hard on yourself it geoes wrong real quick some times. What would you do differently with the value of hindsight ?

Not that bad, wing get nearly no domage and did loose the board, so you could use to prone foil to the shore.
If you would have lost board and wing, in reef spot with a curent sucking out... 😉
