The Achievement Hunter crew is taking a trip over to downtown Achievement City (where the grass is green and the girls are pretty) to compete in the deadliest competition in all of Minecraft - the Darwin Awards! The competition is as fierce as ever, since this time each death message only counts for the person who received it first. At the end of the hour, only one man will win the coveted Tower of Pimps...hopefully before all of Achievement City is completely destroyed.

I really don't understand how Geoff managed to fuck up keeping track of this SO badly. Piece of paper, write down the ways to die, as they happen, write the name of who got it next to it. Go back & do the in Minecraft check/wool nonsense afterwards.

Because if it was perfect, it wouldn't be funny, and you wouldn't be here writing the comment that I am responding to.
It shocks me how many people don't realize that they make intentionally awkward decisions because it makes people yell in CZcams comments... It's kinda brilliant, you enrage someone with your stupidity so they will say something that makes other people respond, thereby creating the user activity that CZcams likes to see.
Gavin has talked about how, when given two choices, if one has a possibility of being less successful but funnier than the other, he will pick the choice that's funnier because it better for the video.

When it became clear early on that Geoff was being an idiot, I decided to start keeping track of the score myself. Unless I am mistaken, Jack and Gavin actually tied with 7. Jack: tried to swim in lava, pricked to death, went up in flames, blown up by X, fell out of the world, tried to swim in lava to escape X, burned to death. Gavin: hit the ground too hard, burned to a crisp whilst fighting X, withered away, blew up, killed by X using magic, shot by an arrow, walked into fire whilst fighting X.

They should really get a fan to recreate AH city on PC, and then transition over and just use controllers on pc.
They have done that, it's just that PC minecraft doesn't work very well for them.
As already stated, yes it works better for them. They only need to add the minimap mod and then they're good to go. The minimap mod is to prevent them from getting lost and constantly using cheats every single second.
I think they're about to make the switch soon.

Honestly, I'm just glad that we did get 4 Pixelmon videos. With Achievement Hunter, I've learned not to have high expectations when it comes to finishing some of the series that is more than 3 episodes. If we do indeed get another part to Pixelmon, Dinos, or even the Zelda series, it would be a lovely surprise. If we don't, than we well get an entertaining video of something else.
I've never seen a let's play turn into an argument about recording format and losing files before. This is amazing.
For the next iteration of this, you should race to die a certain way. Have a redstone machine randomly choose from available deaths until you run through the whole list.

When Trevor mentioned Michael Schumacher in reference to a skiing incident, my heart sank. His skiing incident occurred in 2013 and he suffered severe head trauma. He is still slowly recovering from the accident and reportedly only recently regained the ability to show some simple emotions ;(

While he's doing the lets play [that he's NOT participating on directly], it's easy as fuck to just grab a pen and paper or use your stupid phone to write something.
Without a pen and paper nearby, Geoff cant be expected to keep up with all the deaths in a game he didn't set up. I don't blame him in the slightest. We all know Geoff is an honest, hardworking, and loving Hufflepuff inside.

Coming back to this I find it hilarious that even though they had colour coordinated wool for in game, but they didn’t have a paper list with markers or highlighters to check or cross out the deaths to match the assigned wool, like third time they did Darwin awards and still forgot how quickly the first deaths happen

I love how long Ryan was staring at the TNT cannon and it didn't occur to him that you need water to negate TNT damage to get blasted off an edge.
This let's play is amazing!! It reminds me of the good old let's plays of running around Achievement City fighting for the win for the first 20 minutes, then wandering off and destroying the world before ending with some hilarious agrumented drama xDD
