- How we do Christmas for our big family without busting the budget. Also unboxing some of the baby clothes and presens we got from Boden and Maileg. #largefamily #vlogmas
Even if you could afford it, I think the gift exchange is a great idea! It teaches children the joy of giving. It's nice to see you keep Christmas meaningful. đđđđâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ Merry Christmas!!!! âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you! Yes I think the gift exchange works too because the kids are so in touch with what the other kids like. I can never keep up with what lego Star Wars sets they like. đ â¤ď¸đ
Those adorable mice babies and their memories will be passed on to your great great great grandchildren and be just as loved even then. So precious!
Merry Christmas! You seem like a great mom! Gift exchanges between siblings are very special â¤ď¸đ
Thank you!đ𼰠Itâs so fun to see what they get for each other. They are better then I am at picking out presents!đ đâ¤ď¸
Now, I know why they always look so good! Boden â¤The new outfits are just adorable.
That lion jacketđ
Those gifts are so cute and sweet! especially Mo colorful overalls. May your family have a wonderful Christmas!
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!đđâ¤ď¸đĽ°Anna was so excited to get Mo dressed in his little outfit!𼰠She picked out the red overalls.
And about the thing with anna and chloe being like a twin still gets me everytime i see them together! Its so fascinating to see them fit perfectly as a twin even if they are not. May god bless all your children.â¤ď¸
Merry Christmas, no gifts this year. Just my family having fun together, weâll make cookies tomorrow and play music on our instruments, and of course, Christmas movies! I love your style in clothing! Itâs so hard to find that style these days! At least for me- anyways, I wish you all a merry and joyful Christmas âşď¸đ
Merry Christmas! Honestly thatâs the best, having fun together as a family is priceless. When my kids get too worried about if the cookies burned or if we made it perfectly like grandma used to I remind them that just being together is what matters. Last year almost all of our Christmas treats were messed up for one reason or another (undercooked, overcooked, wrong ingredients) so this year they really wanted it to be perfect. And while the treats were better this year (thankfully!) itâs still fun to look back at that Christmas when we had the âfunky fudgeâ đ
My favorite books were The Box Car Children when I was little. I got them for my grandkids and they loved them too! Itâs nice to share part of yourself with them! đ I LOVE the mice! I want the house and all for myself! I used to save gadgets and empty match boxes etc when I was little to make my own pretend items for little imaginary mice. I thought it was so cute when I saw them on cartoons or in a book. Even Tom and Jerry cartoon would show Jerryâs mouse bed sometimes. I loved that kind of stuff and I still do.
Binge watching your content!!!! Love your approach with gift giving and the quality/quantity and minimalist convo! Our family always say âexperiences not thingsâ.
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
I absolutely adore your channel!!! Please record when your kids go outside in their first substantial snow! How cute to see them!
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸Yes! It barely snowed this year but maybe it will snow next year!
Aww amazing gifts đâ¤ď¸ We would like to see what the other kids got for each other too!
The Yoto player was a great purchase! I couldnât justify the price for one but a family member graciously got one for my kids and they use it every day! My son will have entire segments of stories memorized and it really helps his vocabulary. The tricky thing is just making sure you have content they really enjoy. There are some stories my son just wasnât interested in but others heâll listen to on repeat and itâs not always easy to predict
Wow thanks! Thatâs good to know! Yes the price was a little high, but Iâm always trying to find no screen stuff so I thought Iâd give it a try. I hope they make more cards for it. I liked the âmake your own card ideaâ if only I could figure that out!đ
I agree with you! I remember toys everywhere but we had two children. I liked keeping all the parts together. I hate clutter đ The children always look precious and I love their clothes I really do Iâm a girly girl but hard to fit because Iâm petite and itâs hard to find skirts and dresses especially for me. Theyâre always too long when I was growing up I had one sister and one brother and my mom made all of our clothes and they were beautiful, and then they did not sell petites at that time but when they did, I went kind of crazy buying clothes I was so thankful to be able to find something to fit. Love your channel and so look forward to every video.
My granddaughter bought my husband and me the Maileg mice in the cigar box for Christmas. She loves playing with them when she visits. She got the grandparents for her mouse house this past Christmas. So adorable!
Yes! The mice are so fun to play with!
Everything is so cute!
We have the Yoto player in our house and my 3 kids love it!
Yeah! So good to hear! I saw it a while ago and it seemed like a screen free fun option!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Merry Christmas! đ
Merry Christmas!đđâ¤ď¸
Wow! How does an only child decide to have 10 kids? I absolutely LOVE those mice! And my grandpa had a blanket just like those grandparent mice- I have it now. I am a child of the 70s and totally had books on record that you would read along. My favorites were The Jungle Book and The Little House.
Yes! I miss those books on tape and record. I used to listen to them over and over!â¤ď¸đĽ°
You are a very competent and beautiful mother and I really like your videos
I relate to the Books with Tapes, we used to travel overseas a lot with our kids and youngest daughter would spend t he entire flights with her little bag full of books and tapes and mini cassette player eith earphones â¤
Yes they are so fun!
Merry Christmas from a small town in rural England to New York City â¤đ đ
Merry Christmas to you! â¤ď¸đđźWe hope to visit England one day!!!â¤ď¸đĽ°đ
Love Boden sales!
Yes! đđźâ¤ď¸
Happy holidays
A JOYFUL SEASON & WONDERFUL NEW YEAR TO YOU & YOURS
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR đđđ
As you know Christmas is season is busiest time of the year
For that reason my wish is little early
I'm from a family of 9 siblings, we've done a gift exchange for as long as I can remember. Our parents would give one gift each kid, and we would give one to the person whose name we pulled.
At one point, the family moved and the parents were short on money. They weren't sure they could afford to give us each a gift. Us kids opted to add them to the name draw, so they wouldn't feel obligated to get us each a gift. Since then, mom has gotten us each something sometimes, depending on how the year has gone.
Now there are grandkids, so the parents get them each a gift instead of the kids.
Some of the kids have moved away and if they won't be home for Christmas they opt out of the gift exchange, but those are home still participate.
We now range from the ages of 44-18
Wow thatâs such a beautiful story â¤ď¸đđź
Really cute clothes for your family. I love your skirt! Where did you get it?
Thatâs smart!
Where are the socks from? So cute
I'm a massive Boden fan (although a bit easier as in England). Really enjoying your videos!
Wow thatâs so cool! Do they have stores in England or is it online there too?
@@TheHappyCaravan it's just online! Have you tried Frugi? That's very similar to Boden, and lovely and bright (& organic).
No not yet. Iâll have to check it out!â¤ď¸
Cute clothes! I donât know how in the heck you distinguish what close belong to who with a Eleven kids!đŽ
I am from a large family. We bought each other gifts. And I bought for my parents at very young ages. Our parents gave us one gift and santa gave us one gift. We were thrilled. My parents did not fill our stockings as they never had stockings.
I buy all year and have everything bought by august. No financial burden.
Boden is very expensive in England but itâs colourful and well made!! My maiden name is Boden but unfortunately Iâm not related to Johnny Boden, the owner. Just love all your videos and all the different looks and personalities of your family!! đ¤Ąđđ
I do something similar when the sales hit before and after Christmas ... I start buying for Christmas for the following year. So the sales in 2023 before Christmas and the days after Christmas with the sales, I will start buying for Christmas 2024. I hardly ever buy anything for regular price.
90's kids had books on tape too! Unless those were hand me downs đ¤ Lol, I'm not really sure but I'd say kids born before '95 didn't have as much screen time as kids today, the only thing my mom had to monitor was video games but it easy to just not buy the game system.
You are great ambassador for ordinary Americans,we hear and see such negative news from the US at times, it's a relief so see happy, healthy normal life,đ
đâ¤ď¸
I have just watched this older Video, I loved all the clothes but particularly liked the toys, I love the mice family my 4 year old grand daughter would love them, I live in Australia and I was curious about where you purchased them from â¤â¤
Maileg! They have the cutest toys!
@@TheHappyCaravan Thank you do much đ¤
So much
For messy baby eaters, I just have them eat in a nappy ( diaper) only. You are inside so warm, and after just wipe baby off or pop in the bath. đ Tip my sister in law passed on to me, works like a charm!!!
â¤
It baffles me how much money some people spend on Christmas. In my family every person gets one gift from a person to a person (5 people in my family means everyone gets 5 gifts). That's only now that's we're all adults with our own jobs. When we were ages 8-19 we got one gift and that was enough.
How tall are Mark and Josiah? Those lengths are quite long
What company is that? The one where they are all in plastic bags in the first Boâs. I donât know about so many companies and I wondered because it looks like a place Iâd like to order from. I hear about Temu but I donât think Iâd like the quality from what Iâve seen and heard.
When I was a child, I had a record player with records and books that came
Together.
The consumerist idea that everyone gets a vast pile of gifts is crazy. Itâs wasteful, and as the Dutch say âthe hand of a child is soon fullâ.
Yes! The house fills up with toys too quickly đ â¤ď¸
This channel gives me serious baby fewerđ
The purple corduroy pants are really not gonna pass⌠if they did, Iâm glad, but, dark denim would have been so much better for a 20 year oldâŚ. Just speaking through the eyes of older children that I have. Love your family all together though, warmed my heart.
wasn't cloud with a chance of meatballs made into a movie?
Yes! Recently I think, I never saw it though. â¤ď¸
Iâm a professional nanny Goodnight Goodnight construction site is one of my favourite bedtime books
Yes! We love it!đđź
Funny to u say a 20 year old going to school and u buying his clothes Iâm in uk đŹđ§
Someone watched 7th heaven a lot.
America is still so bountiful đ
I really didnât enjoy this video, maybe itâs just me but the gift giving I donât agree on your ideas⌠but you are a good Mom and your family is very talentedâŚ.
Its sad that you do not buy one present for each of your kids... with them buying for each other, it can end up unfair.. they are juat kids so they nay not pick something their sibling really wants.. if thats all they get.... what about Santa? And a present from mom and dad? You dont have to spend a million dollars... set a limit if it makes you feel better.. like $50.. for each kid.. you can buy them something they love.. like a doll and stroller or a series of books, or ??? Whatever each child loves. You should know them the best.. im sure each child would gladly give you ideas if you are stuck..
Shared presents are great... but every child likes different things.. its what makes them unique..
Thatâs what birthdays are for!
Yes we try to get more for the kids individually on birthdaysâ¤ď¸âşď¸
I'm amazed how people suggest to others how they should spend their money. Not everyone believes in Santa or telling their children about Santa. Please respect the way they raise their family.
What is the reasoning for having all those children? Is it a religious thing because the planet is blowing up at a rapid rate.
Its called choice , and its not effecting you, so who cares
