I was crying with you for the Winx wall 😭😂 I love that Brett knows how to put dolls and that he put the Disney doll right there that's so cute lol. I love these types of videos too! There probably one of my favs along with thrift hauls and PO boxes lol.
I was thinking about having floating shelves like that later down the road but seeing how much my friends sagged down in no time made me not want them 😭 Also just love hearing your thought process! My partner and I love to just talk and talk about how we want our shelves. Didn’t think it would be one of my favorite things about collecting, but it is!

I'm eager to reconfigure my display once I'm home again. While I still only have a dresser, I recently acquired a hanging basket from my grandma for the wall, and I'm wondering if I could put some dolls in along with some silk flowers or something, that would be fun! The question would be where to put it in the room. Gosh, good for you on getting the framed stuff up too, it takes us FOREVER to hang those on the walls. These are such beautiful illustrations too! I know you're a Nintendo fan, so maybe you'll remember this. When we still had Club Nintendo, there was a reward for two different poster sets with three posters each for Smash Bros Wii U/3DS, and my sisters and I saved up enough points to get one of them and split the set amongst the three of us. My poster is the anime styled one from Palutena's reveal trailer with Link and Pit fighting on it, and I've never been able to hang it up! The frame I have is a bit too big, but I could either mat it or add something else to the bottom. Either way, I just want her on my wall, she's so pretty and I love it so much.

Floating shelves are so hit or miss. I feel the longer they are the more prone they are to sagging. I have one that is longer that needed two L brackets underneath and my other one is like 1/3rd shorter and didn’t need anything and is 100% fine. They can be very frustrating.

I took a lot of space from my husband. But he has his own room now I don't touch. It's easier for me to buy more things constantly and need the excess space. You have a nice big house! I live in a California apartment x_x small and expensive.

(I don’t know why but I find the idea of you and Brett having your own halves/sides of the house to be super cool and can’t wait to see what the house will look like once you all are moved in - animals included of course, they’re hard at work adjusting) I was wondering what your display/ design philosophies and tips are when it comes to doll rooms, especially since you’re an official museum curator now, have done it multiple times, and since you have so many different types of dolls/ merch now.
For the L brackets on the shelving use them above the shelfs, especially the L brackets so that it pulls the shelf back and "up" so they don't sag downward. I did the same for mine since I also had the same issue. 😅 Think it would be good to put all the designers in one shelf and just fill it and putting the Villains on the bottom shelf? Can't wait to see the next vlog!
They work just fine from underneath too. I have my shelves like that :) she already put them all together so I feel like it’s too late to put them on above? And wouldn’t that affect the shelf sitting flush with the wall?
Also second comment 😂. Just a suggestion, maybe move the OMGs and MGA overflow, into the corner where you have the shadow high and winter break, since we’re supposed to get the K Pop Group next month as well as the Juniors series 2, with the predicted Shadow High Jeep and the 4 pack pretty close behind, i fee like it might be a bit more cohesive. But totally up to you.
I have the elfa closet system from the container store in my walk in closet and they have clear shelf dividers that may create a side barrier where your vents are
How do you dust off your dolls on the shelf? It sure takes a lot of time. Asking if there’s an easier way to get dust off of dolls on the shelf cause I want to make a shelf for my collection 😅
I got the same white floating shelves as you for my doll room . I had a similar problem . It was frustrating. Did you use anchors or just put the nails in without anchors ? 💕 i found anchors help even it out more and make it sturdy . I also put the nails and anchors in the wrong holes at one point and had to re do it.
Maybe you could put Disney all along the top of the shelves so they don’t take up shelve space but are still working together on the top then each shelf could have a doll theme below just thought I’d add my two pence to your doll room it’s gonna be wonderful either way ☺️

Layout made it like that by default and my half of the house is far enough away from Brett that I can film and he doesn’t have to adjust his schedule around it. He used to have to wait until I was done filming to go to the bathroom but now he doesn’t have to haha
I’m still juggling ideas. I want them to have a custom doll house (with 6-10 rooms) so they are a bit of a difficult situation. I’m going to built them a custom two-sided house/display shelf I think? I have decent woodworking knowledge and this would be fairly simple

AC vents should not have moisture. The air should be fairly dry as the AC takes out moist. Heat as well unless you have a built in added humidifier.
I assume so but I don’t want to take any risks as things can happen. I did JUST buy a brand new incredibly expensive AC system 🥲

You can use a clear plastic piece to vent the vent air up and then be able to put dolls in front. Like the clean plastic from a box front?
