Lol the beginning... Its hot out here.. That was me in my last video
They both sound good. Both have different sounds too.
Dope!!!
In for the ISR!
Yo I'm in Texas too! Specifically Austin, just got here from Mexico actually, drove my 2017 White Miata ST all the way here haha. Been looking at these two exact exhausts actually so it's really crazy that I found a video comparing both of them and in the same state! Been looking for that fun burble and pops. I've subscribed, maybe one day we will run into each other and friendly flash lights :D
@@VictorPitstop Oh man that'd be awesome! I haven't looked into the car enthusiast/amateur race scene yet but I'll definitely get in on that!
The ISR sounds great, in love with the ISR ricer fly by clip. I like more burbles, crackle, and pops though. Does the Race have more crackle/pop on shifts?
Once the race is broken in, you get a little bit of burbles and pops on de-acceleration; whereas the ISR is a smooth rev down. There are actual burble tunes you can get for the ND regardless of exhaust setup!
I wonder if you can get one of those "long" rubber hangers at like advanced auto to remedy the club problem! Have you hear any stories of it actually cracking the midpipe ? I cant seem to find any online
I actually haven’t had any issues myself and never actually seen it. It’s strange because it fit my club just fine. I would assume long hangers would work (you can find some adjustable ones on Amazon, too), but you may need to buy a whole set of them. Needless to say, I saw no issue at all.
would love to try the isr irl by the way in my experense the roadster sport race sounds a lot different irl it has more deeper tones than what it picked up on camera
The ISR is a louder tone but the roadster sport race has this ‘crisp’ tone to it. ISR has a bit more bass at low RPMs and the RSR is not as bass-y at low rpm but it holds the sound more as it revs out.
How does it sound from the inside of the Miata? Do you have sound clips?
I am going to make a video for my car in general but the ISR definitely had some mid-range drone. It’s not irritating but definitely there. The Roadstersport quiets down a lot with very little drone. Sometimes it makes you want to rev it more just to hear it. I’ll make an in-car sound clip as a bonus since I have brand new audio equipment.
I installed the isr muffler delete in my 16 sport today. There is a slight minor leak if I put my hands on top of the mid pipe and muffler. Is there a better gasket to prevent that?
Did you make sure that the bumper wasn't getting hit by the exhaust? Also, you may have to loosen the exhaust and readjust the angle to see if it works for you.
Dude I’m in the field and I’m the same way. I wear eye protection all the time now because my eyes were magnets to debris
Every single time I don’t wear them, crap in my eyes. It’s the worst! I don’t know how my friends do it without eye protection.
I'd say the Roadster Sport is louder and a little deeper tone.
So who won the muffler?
Fellow ND roadster sport exhaust owner here.. Dont do the strait pipes! The high compression engine has a 4-2-1 exhaust compression ratio and you will loose power and ruin the engine. If you do decide to do it you will need to get the car tuned so it will run right! I would still love to see that video tho;)
I got a new car :( will have another Miata one day! I’m making a video on the new whip but you’re right! That’s better for a turbo setup! Straight pipe is better; no back pressure for the turbo!
So don't put on an aftermarket midpipe? I thought about it, but I don't understand why not? Please explain.
So glad I moved to Ohio. Could never survive putting my back on that molten lava concrete. Altho it's nice here since almost every night there are freaks doing loud pulls down the roads outside the neighborhood. Music to my ears, especially those high revving motos but not so great for all the grannies trying to sleep and my neighborhood has a lot of seniors
Wrenching here in the dead heat of Texas Summer is always a bad time without A/C. After the days over, it feels like I’ve ran a marathon and lost about 5-10 pounds. Hah! The oldies could probably barely hear what’s going on by that point!
@@VictorPitstop the humidity doesn't help either! Everyday I start my car this old lady peeks out her door at me like someone is dying haha
Now I want a isr muffler for my nc
It sounds best when paired with a turbo. I had an ISR race for my Turbo NA Miata and it shot flames while sounding decent.
@@VictorPitstop mainly I want one because I have the roadster sport race single on the stock midpipe and don’t really feel like changing to midpipe before coilovers. But I do want it to be louder and more raw.
@@brycemiller257 that’ll definitely do the trick then. And fairly cheap, too! Search local FB marketplace first. You never know!
Anybody won the ISR yet?
Doing a quick video this weekend actually on it. No one won it yes because I’ve been to busy to pick... thing is just sitting in my garage.
You still got that exhaust!? 😅
Actually, I have the same exact setup for my newer ND and will be doing a giveaway when I hit 1k subs. 😂
Great comparison
