Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round - Synth Recreation

One of the greatest production trio's of the mid 80's was 'Stock Aitken Waterman'. I've always loved their synth work on Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round". Today I'm recreating it using an Emulator ii, Prophet 5 and have thrown in some Digitech Talker for fun. 😀🕺🎹

Adapters to retrofit modern solid state replacements are cheap and plentiful. Though it's possible the original still works fine.

@@jfabritz I believe it's a 20 mb st506 type drive. In the emulator 2. One of the most popular hdd drives in the early 80's. If you had some sort of pc in the early 80's it probably had a 20mb Seagate drive. St-225. Don't doubt that it could still be working.

@@AI_Image_Master old school hard disk for sure, but usually at that age it is a mechanical timebomb. I did see that they have a USB stick floppy emulator for the Emulator 2, so that helps keep these relics alive.

I'm surprised that old 5.25' hard drive on that E-MU is still working properly living it's life at a 45 degree angle. I guess old stepper drives didn't have as much trouble with not being flat.
