In one of the final scenes of Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, Harry tricks Lucius Malfoy into freeing Dobby. Enraged, Lucius attempts to cast the killing curse only for Dobby to step in and stop him. What If Lucius had followed through with the killing curse? What If Lucius Malfoy Killed Harry Potter In The Chamber Of Secrets?
I interpret this differently,
That Lucius confronted harry with his wand saying "you lost me my servant " not actually trying to kill harry but to simply threaten
A seemingly disruptive young big with his authority as an adult wizard with influence
It was not until DOBBY got in front of harry when he actually said the beginning of the killing curse,
Meaning he actually attempted to kill dobby out of anger which he would get away with as houselves had no rights legally

I think you are correct that Dobby stepped infront of Harry before Lucius started saying the killing curse. But it been a long time since I read the book or saw that movie.

Then they would have had his dead body for evidence (that'd be hard to fake) and Sirius would be freed. Can't have that! Unfortunately, it would derail the plot and the story would end prematurely, in addition to rendering Pettigrew's involvement with the later, and much more important, plot of resurrecting Voldemort utterly impossible. I see many "what-if" moments throughout the series, but I can understand why Rowling had to take this path, as the book series would have actually ended right there at Book Three. Voldemort is not resurrected, and as Peter is the only one (cowardly enough) to find him, likely would never regain a physical form again.

A simple plan like using Harry´s personal shampoo/soap [to get him without a wand, clothes or even glasses] requires the common sense of a Hufflepuff...
But it is also the main reason it could have failed: a Hufflepuff wizard would not take the logic jump that Harry may not be the first one touching it (for example if Ron can not find his own and uses it knowing Harry would not mind...).
Harry still had his mother’s love protection spell on his skin. So the spell would have rebounded and caused Lucisis to kill himself. So that means Dobby saved his former master’s life by knocking him back and prevented his death.

Even the uploader said Lucius would only knock him out and kill the horcrux instead, which is not true, he will die along with the horcrux, tells a lot about how little people dedicated to making videos about Harry Potter actually know it.

well Nymphadora and Sirius would still be alive. and i think both would be way more skilled duelists. Sirius wasn´t too shabby as a duelist, but Bellatrix clearly was WAY superior to sirius. After all she was the second in command after Voldemort .and even if she learned the dark arts. Dumbledore definitely is not blind to talent if it is so obvious even Voldemort sees it (she said Voldmort taught her the dark arts in Person. He wouldn´t have done that if he didn´t expect her to become an insanely powerful dark witch.) meaning Dumbledore would´ve taught her a few of his tricks as well. so i think Bellatrix would be an INSANE power up for the order. She alone might be enough to already tip the scales towards the order in the first war, but with the 15 years being a free witch honing her skills. she´d be close to dumbledore and Voldemort. Remember she was 15 years rotting in Askaban and had not much more than a year to recover frim that when attacking Hogwarts for the first time. So she would be an insane powerhouse if she spent the time free. Remember on the dark side she didn´t doubt one second VOldemort came back. this might come from nearly religious devotion, but also definitely from a vast understanding of the dark arts.
And even if dumbledore wouldn´t teach her how to use the dark arts, Bellatrix definitely would know lot´s about it. first, she was an extremely talented and beautiful witch (pre askaban. though except for the teeth she´s still hot in the movies) making her quite an addition to the slug club. (you can´t tell me the black sisters weren´t part of the slug club. especially not bellatrix) meaning she also could find tutelage under Horace Slughorn who might not be the most powerful, but one of the most knowledgeable wizards of his time second she would find many other sources and always was fascinated by the dark arts .i think even is she didn´t use it for ethical reasons, she´s still be intrigued by them. She´d be like a horror movie lover, she´ds be creeped out and disgusted, but even more intrigued the more she learns. I think she might even be familiar with the term of a Horcrux. Maybe finding it on her researches or getting it out of Slughorn (remember she was highly intelligent and beautiful. she might get Slughorn charmed to tell her, if she got a hint, Slughorn might know.)
Bellatrix would make a great adviser to harry and his friends, a great teacher, and an insanely powerful ally.

You have forgotten something pretty major here; Harry survived the killing curse in the Deathly Hallows because Voldemort used Harry's blood in the Regeneration Potion and so Lily's blood, and so the sacrificial magic of it, lived in the Dark Lord thus still protecting Harry, not just because the Dark Lord destroyed the part of his soul in Harry. As well as that, I think Lily's protection worked only against the Dark Lord, Harry could still be killed by other people/means (otherwise why did Fawkes need to heal him in the Chamber?) So, if Lucius had cast the Killing Curse, Harry would have died

More complications: if Lucius had killed the piece of Voldermort's soul in HarryL firstly Dumbledore may have figured out the Horcrux aspect earlier without needing Slughorn. Since Harry found out about the snake attacking Arthur Wesley due to his Horcrux Arthur would have died, severely impacting on Ron and his family. As you said in the video having lost the link to the Horcruxes would impede Harry and co finding them. Assuming the scene where Voldermort kills Harry in the forest goes as before since Harry is just Harry he would die at that point. With Harry gone the wand would belong fully to Voldermort and he would quite possibly be invincible at least for a long time and could win.
But if Harry had not known that he was a Horcrux, as that would no longer be the case, would he still sacrifice himself in the forest? It is quite possible that even if he didn't it would just prolong the war and he would die anyway. Either way Voldermort would win.
That avada kedavra spell would most likely kill both the horecrux and Harry, the reason Harry didn't die when voldemort cast that spell is because voldemort tethered Harry to life by using his blood to create his body

Actually, while you are right about Harry having protection through voldemort when he was being killed by him, Harry still was protected by his mother's love until he came of age
about lucius malfoy getting away with the murder: i highly doubt it. i'm sure that in trials like that one, legilimency would be applied, and even without that, "priori incantatem" would prove that the killing curse was used with his wand (not some foreign elf magic). i also think that he wouldn't have any time to cover his tracks, as dumbledore would arrest him immediately.

I'm going to disagree with you about what would happen if Lucius had succeeded at killing Harry. I do not believe he would have gotten away with it, for two simple reasons, one Dumbledore would have said something like "Why would an elf with their own magic bother using a wand?!" any argument Lucius might offer would be met with "Elves can use their magic with permission from their masters!", the whole "Dobby saved Lucius" argument would fall apart on that alone! But second, Harry is 12, his magical ability isn't that high, so Lucius saying he was disarmed by Harry when the last spell Harry's wand would reveal isn't Expelliarmus, if you recall in the books, Tom Riddle used a different spell in the chamber which would be the last spell the wand would have on it, remember the wands can show the last spell the wand was used for and when the wand reveals a spell to write out fiery letters in the air, Lucius would be given the kiss from a Dementor faster than heck. I maybe wrong but the wand would be what Dumbledore would likely focus in on as soon as Lucius makes that weak defence.
Sorry I just don't see Lucius getting away with it, it wouldn't be his own wand that would imprison him or get him the kiss, it would be Harry's wand because when Tom wrote out those letters he was using a non-verbal spell.

I would actually like to read the book where Lucuis kills Harry and the series goes on, of course Ron and Hermione would not believe that Dobby killed Harry and they would all probably rebel on the ministry for killing an innocent house elf.
One problem I have with this theory is that Dobby was a free elf, that's why Lucius was pissed. So Dobby can testify and Dumbledore would believe. I think unkillable Harry would be a more interesting route. Because of the severed link, the department of mysteries battle never needs to happen. Voldemort can't abuse that link.

good video, love your work, one point though Dobby would have enough power as well as Dumbledores support to at least hide out, plus he had already been freed and would then be able to "testify" against Malfoy for not just the murder but his involvement in Riddles diary and Voldemort which his denial has kept him from Azkaban
While he did say "Avada", it's only because it was the first spell his actor could think of. So it's unclear what spell he was really going to use on Harry. Furthermore Lucius was in a rage, so even if he had used the curse, I'm unclear whether it would have worked. Since one has to actually mean it for the curse to work. Righteous anger or anything else would have just injured the victim, not kill them.
Also I doubt whether Lucius Malfoy was really fool enough to attempt to use the killing curse on Harry, as it would have exposed him as a dark wizard. In-fact I've never even known Lucius to be a killer. While Lucius did mention that Neville's grandmother was used to losing family members to their cause, I don't ever remember it saying anywhere that Lucius himself initiated fatal spells on any wizards or muggles alike.

This was back when Fudge was on good terms with Dumbledore, and relied upon him for advice. So while he may be reluctant, he would be persuaded by Dumbledore to send Lucious to Azkaban.
Harry isn't "un-killable" at all. His only protection is against Voldemort specifically, and only after Voldemort took some of Harry's blood. It was his undoing, he was then unable to kill Harry while he himself was still alive. This is why Dumbledore tells Snape that when the time came for Harry to "die", Voldemort himself MUST be the one to kill him. It was the only way to destroy the horcrux while also ensuring Harry's survival.
Had Voldemort used someone else's blood, he would have likely succeeded in killing Harry. He couldn't physically touch Harry, but he could still use magic or objects to do it (stabbing, poison etc). Lucius Malfoy or anyone else besides Voldemort can still kill Harry. He probably wouldn't be knocked out either, that was likely an effect of Voldemort destroying a part of himself along with Lily's protection reflecting the curse.
I think Voldemort would still return to power, but maybe not with Wormtail. In the scenario that Lucius kills Harry, a small but very important detail would likely change Wormtail's decision to seek Voldemort- I don't think the Weasleys would go to Egypt. The entire Weasley family would be in mourning after Harry's death and I don't believe they would take a vacation so soon after. This would mean no photograph in the Daily Prophet, so Sirius wouldn't discover Wormtail was still alive and at Hogwarts. Wormtail would likely remain with Ron as Scabbers. I doubt the events which caused Hermione to adopt Crookshanks would play out either, so he wouldn't be a problem for Wormtail either.
Lucius would probably be sent to Azkaban (doubt he could run away). I don't even think his connections in the ministry would be able to get him out of that situation. In an interesting twist, I consider it highly possible if not likely that Sirius would kill Lucius while in prison as revenge for killing Harry. Instead of escaping prison, Sirius instead squeezes out of his cell but searches the prison to find Lucius and kills him. He might still escape, but he wouldn't know where to find Wormtail.
I think Barty Crouch Jr would revive Voldemort. One scenario is the events of the World Cup play out mostly the same. He breaks free, casts the dark mark and is again subdued by his father. And it is my belief that he would eventually have broken free of his father soon after anyways, even without help from Wormtail and Voldemort. That said, i'd propose an alternate scenario- the Death Eaters never even appear at the World Cup. Lucius is implied to be the one who organized and led the riot, so with him in prison or dead there's a good chance the riot doesn't occur. In this event, Barty still breaks free but no longer loses his temper and casts the dark mark. Instead he remains patient and kills his father in his sleep. This btw should also mean Winky is now magically bound as Barty Jr's servant, having not been fired. Barty Jr and Winky set off for Albania. He's a very intelligent and powerful wizard, he should be able to find Voldemort quicker, care for him far better and expedite his revival compared to Wormtail. He'd gladly sacrifice his hand, and Voldemort would gladly give him a new one. Barty Jr would not be discarded afterwards as a nuisance like Wormtail was, I believe he would be appointed Voldemort's second in command.
Future events would differ wildly depending on whether Voldemort decides to keep his return a secret like he did before or just announces it to the world. He would no longer have reason to go after the prophesy, so wouldn't be seen by Fudge. He would just have to contend with Dumbledore and his Order trying to alert people, but the Ministry would still deny it and smear Dumbledore. Exposing Voldemort to the world would be much more difficult.
Voldemort would tell his Death Eaters about Wormtail, he'd be hunted down like Karkaroff. Snape would relay this to Dumbledore, and they would realize Sirius was innocent. Whether Wormtail would flee Hogwarts or not, I don't know. Meanwhile, I doubt Barty would take kindly to Snape or the other Death Eaters who remained free outside Azkaban due to renouncing Voldemort. I could see Barty Jr spying on Snape trying to expose him as a traitor.
Dead or alive, Lucius would probably be honored by Voldemort and his death eaters. Even with the destruction of Tom Riddle's diary angering him, Voldemort would be pleased Lucius killed Harry. Plus the events in the Department of Mysteries would never occur to further sour Voldemort's opinion of Lucius. So he would be largely revered and respected Draco would be welcomed in with open arms and not punished with an absurd assassination mission.

I always thought that soul pieces of the same person were attracted to one another and that's why Dumbledore was so insistent that Voldemort kill Harry. That way it would be most likely that Voldemort's soul piece would be the soul part that was hit by the Avada Kedavra, but if anyone else tried to kill Harry, Voldemort's soul piece would try to hiding behind Harry's soul making it most likely that Harry would die.

Harry would have died at this point along with the horcrux. The reason he didn't die in Deathly Hallows was because Voldemort had Lily's protection in his own blood, which tethered it to the Earth which meant that Harry couldn't die. In chamber of secrets, Voldemort hadn't come back so this wasn't the case. This explains Dumbledore's "gleam of triumph" in goblet of fire when Harry told Dumbledore that voldemort could touch him again, it was because Dumbledore realised that the prophecy could now only go one way.
They also made a flaw in character in GOF by making Dumbledore go ballistic with rage when Harry's name came out of the Goblet. I love Michael Gambon, Emma Watson, Daniel Racliffe, Evanna Lynch, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman (R.I.P) and many other actors, but the books are the superior source.

The second part is rediculus. With Harry being the Boy-Who-Lived and one if not THE most famous wizard of his time, Lucius would have been questioned under Veritaserum (truth serum) by not only Madam Amelia Bones, but also Albus Dumbledore and Cornelius Fudge. Lucius would probably even be executed after the hearing.
Also remember that Madam Bone would probably questioned Lucius about the Death Eaters with him being a 'former' one. This would probably reveal every other Death Eater and thus Peter Pettigrew as well. Which in turn would free Sirius Black.
I've got a question, if Lucius had killed Harry, what would have happened to Voldemort? In deathly hallows part two in Snape's memories that he gives Harry, dumbledore says that Voldemort himself has to kill harry. If Lucius had killed Harry, would the horcrux be truly destroyed and would he be able to die a second time to destroy the possible horcrux still inside of him or would it be too weak, allowing the curse to kill him instead of the horcrux, allowing Voldemort to live forever and take over the wizarding world?
one problem with the theory, by the time Lucius would have killed Harry Dobby wouldn't have been owned by the Malfoys anymore thus the blame can't be put out on him as Dobby (& very likely Dumbledore) would have testified against Lucius. Lucius does go to Azkaban at the end.

One thing, isn't there a spell to check a wand's last spell used? Let's just say someone came around an hour after Harry's death and Lucius was talking to them. Wouldn't they take up his wand and use the spell to check it's last spell used to see if he was the one who used the spell?

I believe that however much sense it would make, No-one in high power would even consider using veritiserum on him, proving to lesser wizards+Dumbledore that the ministry is corrupted, maybe changing the story further through
i might be mistaken since it has been years since I read the novels but I believe it wasn't until the fourth book until it was known that avada kadavra was the killing curse it told you of the unforgivable curses but never mentioned the names until one eyed moody explained and demonstrated them
The protection spell from Harry's mom would've caused the spell to rebound causing massive damage to the school, probably at least hurting, maybe killing Dobby and hitting Lucius Malfoy killing him and destroying his body as it would've done to Voldemort had he not been tied to this world by horcruxes. The only reason Voldemort could use the spell on Harry in book 7 is because he used Harry's blood to restore his body and this protected him from the power protecting Harry. So there is no way Lucius could have harmed Harry and I he tried he surely would not have survived.
But he admitted in a interview that that was the only spell he could think of because he was reading the books and just happened to have it on his mind. It was the actor not directer
I like to think that the term "avada" is preface used in multiple spells, and only the one that ends with a word that sounds like 'cadaver' would result in death. Maybe he was going to say Avada Kadabra which would turn him into a rabbit, just for example.
Killing curse won't work even if dobby didn't interfere because unforgivable curses can not be casted out of pure rage, it require deep desire of caster to function

What if on Prisoner of Azkaban, Pettigrew was stunned in his human form and brought back to the castle? Like, I've always thought that at that night, when Lupin changes into werewolf state, sirius could've dragged him back to shrieking shack, and harry, ron, hermione and snape could escort pettigrew back to the castle, you know.. just using Stupefy or something to prevent Pettigrew from morphing into a rat...
