Can you check/verify the alarm time once you set it? I heard that is not possible. And if you set the radio as alarm does it always increase in volume, or is that a setting that you can turn off? I like to set the radio as alarm but would be annoyed if the volume increases automatically.

Yes you can. Just long press on the Alarm button and the blinking number shows your alarm setting. I tried the radio alarm and the volume keeps increasing. I am not sure if that can be changed.

Yes it does! You can verify, as long as the LED is ON, it will sound the alarm.

i put the batteries and tried turning it on without power supply and it doesn't work
is this expected?

Yes, battery is only used to maintain memory so the settings will not be erased even if you disconnect the clock from power source. But for all the functions, the clock radio much be plugged to power outlet.

I think it just automatically increases volume until you stop it. I don't know the max.
