Thank you for such a helpful video! I have a smaller longarm and have had to turn the quilt when doing borders but seeing how you do this today without turning the quilt really helps. I am getting a 26" machine soon, can't wait! Your book is my constant companion when longarming. I have used the feather instructions to help guide me in so many quilts! (They are coming out great, BTW...)

How perfectly timed is this video tutorial as I’m in the midst of quilting feathers in a border and was contemplating how to get all the way around the quilt! I will give this a try. I’ve already unstitched some of the feathers I was unhappy with so a little more unstitching won’t bother me if I get in a place where I get confused! Thanks so much, Natalia!!
As a needy, I didn’t think of doing one side at a time. This will make it less threads. Thanks for that tip. ….. I know, some people need a kick start 😂😂😂

Love it and looking forward to trying this “one side at a time” method. I have an older Gammill with no stitch regulator so a lot of stopping and starting leaves little knots if I don’t keep it fluid.

Just to get an idea of how big your spine is. Can you tell me how many inches it is from the middle of one dip to the middle of the next to dip please?
Very good, but what about the other side when the feathers are going in the opposite direction, do you start at the bottom and work your way up, and how do you get your feathers to connect and look good. I love your tutorials and I have learned a lot watching your channel. Thank you Natalia

So, do you do the whole right side as you go, and then across the bottom then up the left side while unrolling the quilt?
If not, how do you handle the left side?
What kind of batting are you using that you are getting a trapunto effect? Really nice to see the back of the quilt looking like the backs of mine. Sure would love it if Santa brought me that bundle of fabric on that shelf!
I remember her saying once, a long time ago, that she sometimes adds a layer of wool batting to get the trapunto look.
Her long arm work is spectacular and mesmerizing to watch..
