Over the years I've knitted lots of sweaters and cardigans, and today I'm sharing my Top 10 favourite handmade knits and what I learned with each project. Hopefully, you'll get some valuable tips and insights, and maybe learn from some of my mistakes too 😅
Knitting is such a satisfying hobby, and I just love seeing how an idea for a garment in your head turns into reality, it's such a mesmerizing experience... or well, not always obviously. The amount of times things don't go to plan or you finish an entire project only to realise you should've knitted a few more rounds here, or added a bit more stitches there, is a frequent occurrence in the life of a DIYer 😆
Sometimes you nail it by accident (like I did with the fit on sweater number 3), and sometimes a brilliant idea in your head just looks a little "off" in reality (like sweater number 9).

Number 3 is my favorite. The color and drape of it are really appealing; that being said, they are all amazing.

#1 and #2 were beautiful! It's one of my dreams to have a closet full of handknit sweaters. I hope this year to sneak in a personal project
I really do love them all but the Cinnamon Twist (#2) in both colors is my favorite. They remind me of a cabled sweater my Mom knit many years ago & I’ve loved cables ever since. And your fireplace is gorgeous!
They are all so lovely! The cinnamon twist is my favorite! I definitely wear cardigans the most! 💗💗

Thank you. They’re all lovely and I agree your number 1 sweater is fantastic. Recently I did my first fair isle jumper and it turned out great (until I saw a CZcams video telling me that I should have carried the l-o-n-g strands. Ooops. Every knitting creation has some imperfection. But that makes the story!!

I learnt to crochet last summer from a friend and I've slowly gotten more confident, and now you've inspired me to try knitting! My grandma taught me the basics when I was younger but sadly she passed away before I could really spend time learning from her, but it's exciting to me to try and learn her favourite hobby even if she isn't around to see it :) The sunday brunch sweater looks gorgeous and might be what I try first 👀

Love number 8 even if you did not like the bottom of it. When I am at the right level I will definitely try to make one like that. Number 3 and 1 are incredible for every day wear. You inspire me so much :)

I loved the Sunday Brunch sweater, but they all look good on you. I love the butter yellow cardigan. The Pippi Longstocking sweater was gorgeous, and I really liked the last one. The sweater that you didn't like the flare at the bottom was perfect. I like flare at the bottom since I'm hiding extra weight, you're so sleek everything hangs perfectly. I'm going to make the Sunday Brunch sweater, I love how simple and timeless it is.
I loved the yellow crop sweater, sunday brunch and #1 petite knit sweaters!!! Im still relatively new to knitting but I cant wait to get to this level of making garments! As always, I enjoyed this video!! 😊

Absolutely wonderful, my favourites are the yellow cardi, it's so cute, the pompom sweater because it's so dressy and you've not put too many pompoms on it! I also think the pink sweater is beautiful, it really suits you, and I love the oatmeal jumper. I can only crochet, but I want to start learning to knit now! I hope to one day make something sweet and simple like your pink sweater :)

Thanks for doing this video. I found it so helpful -especially your thoughts on what you would do differently next time. One thing I would do is remove the bottom rib from the fair isle sweater and reknit it on a smaller needle. I've done similar 'surgeries' to my sweaters that aren't quite the right fit. Think your number 2 was my favorite, but I really like all of them. Jacki
I think the bobble spacing in jumper #2 looks like a sweetheart neckline :) So quite cute! I didn't realise it was unintentional

Such lovely knits! It's hard to pick just one! I would say the ivory colored Cinnamon Twist cardigan and the Fair Isle sweater were my favorites.

Your cardigans in many colors are very pretty and l usually enjoy that style, since it can stay open and keeps mostly the back warm. So, l am planing to have one, too.

Hi Kika - I think I liked the colorful striped one the best, but I appreciate the subtleties of the lighters shades and feel like they are tasteful and elegant. I tend not to wear solid light colors (think they show spots too easily and I work outside with horses so tend to get 'dirtier') but they look beautiful on people who can keep them clean. I really enjoy your personality!

I like them all; I don't think I could choose just one. I love color so, I like the yellow/gold fair isle and the striped cardigan ideas. I have a problem with the underarms on sweaters and I prefer set-in sleeves; however, I might try knitting your No. 1 sweater. It looks really elegant on you. Thank you for sharing. ❤ -- KateColors

the fairisle jumper was my favourite for sure. I have just knitted my very first aran cable jumper for a 3 year old. I am gradually working my way up to knitting a jumper for me ;) T x
This is a great video. I see my errors on my knits and would like to change as well; but I still enjoy my garments and wear them with errors or not. I like the green with gold yoked fairisle. Yes I love the larger hem; helps conceal my stomach. You are lucky you can wear knits. I knit all my garments in cotton because wool scratches me and I live in warm weather all the time

Loved seeing these so much. It’s my dream to knit a jumper. I’ve only ever knitted scarves. Your original knitting videos - how to knit purl and knit stich - inspired me to start. I’m left-handed, so I always have to reverse everything, but I usually work it out. 😊 I’m going to build up the courage to start the Sunday brunch jumper. Love your new knitting direction, though I’ve always loved watching all your videos. Xx
I love #s 10-6, and #1. They are flatter, the styles/shapes/lengths all suit your frame so well.
For the Yellow Queen, have you thought about weaving in elastic thread in the bottom? It's such a gorgeous sweater.
I have far too many ones I love to name a favorite. I love them all. Especially the yellow cardigan, the one with the diamond buttons, the Sunday Brunch, the last one, and even the striped one with the off white ribbing. Congratulations.
