I'm 41 years old. Been a fan of generation 1 from day 1. fell in love with Optimus Prime in the way he leads and the way he can not just be like Megatron he will go out there and fight just like his subordinates the way he talks to his Autobots he doesn't scream at them thank God Larry Cullen former Marine told Peter to be a real hero and not overly add his subordinates. I just wish Peter and Frank we're doing the voices again of Optimus and Megatron. But they're probably was two reasons why $ & new blood. Maybe we'll get a gas parents from one of them later in the seriesplus I guess appearance from others who've done voice acting in the past for Transformers. I wish they wouldn't have had delayed this but June I can't wait. it gives time for clone Wars to end and people to calm down about it ending. Then we get the much-anticipated war for Cybertron series.

This just shows that you can do a Transformer series based on the very original and still remain relevant today. Do not need to do the drastic updates and complete story overhaul to make a great show!
You know what the old saying is: Old is Gold, nothing beats the original G1 movie. Seeing Megatron keeping his promise now that’s something rare (I guess he’s learned to love the peace btw the Autobot and Decepticon as something worth to keep) and yet I like how this ending ended happily. I don’t know why I but I always prefer Mega than Galva, there’s something special bout old cranky Megatron.
Its 2020 im 41 and had a horrible year but this gem took me back to the 80s and put a smile on my face

@@theHedgex1 The original show, Animated, and Prime all succeeded with humans. That's because protecting the vulnerable is a vital part of the Autobots. If you're gonna make a human-free show about the complexities of the Autobot/Decepticon war, it's gotta be better than this.

Old age is actually finally getting to both Optimus and Megatron. They’re exhausted with all their final epic battles against each other. Maybe they finally realized all those epic battles of good and bad have become just predictable.
Still, they do know they both can’t just let a mess become messier and they have to make like the cleaners for bothersome stains.

I only hate the fact they made Autobot Combiners bad guys. They are not loose cannons like Decepticons. They would rather protect than destroy. So why demonize all combiners? Even First Aid in G1 would rather save lives than take them.
@Proxima Centauri But Protectron was one of the combiners who would rather protect and serve than fight the Combiner wars, unless innocent inhabitants were being put in danger. This just didn't feel as good as the show Transformers Prime, or the Unicron trilogy, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron.
What puzzled me though was why didn't the combiners split apart when the situation needed it. Like when Megatronus stole the Spark of the combiner, if they had split apart, they had a better chance of survival than being together all at once. That's like allowing him to kill 5-6 transformers at once.
Although, it was noble of Optimus to step down when the wars were over to allow future generations to prosper, but he should've at least became like the leader of the new world's armies. Not as the Autobot leader, but as the leader of the army to protect and serve the planet. I mean, exiling yourself seems rather extreme, especially with such a rare and noble being like Optimus Prime, who fought for millions of years, but never swayed in his beliefs and convictions. At least being given a position like leading the armies would be familiar and a worthy position to be in. He always lead, but was never afraid to fight when need be. I kinda wished they handled Optimus Prime better than this.

Combiner wars is full of shitty repetitive animation, shitty voice acting, and shit writing. At the very least the transformers films have some good actors and beautiful visuals.
@@matrixgaming1008 Obviously it's all subjective but I thought the transformers movies had absolutely horrific CGI, besides the fact that they butchered the robots. The actors, well, okay enough, I guess.
Increasing the speed to 1.25 improves on the dialogue delivery and action so much. And that includes on the musical score, also the WFC series was made by the same production team and it is also slow paced so increasing the speed on it too makes it better.
Was really cool to see Optimus Prime and Megatron years after the Great War. Interesting when Megatron asked Optimus Prime if he was still mad because he killed him. I’m curious to know how Megatron is in his original form again and not Galvatron anymore 🤔
This shit was awesome on a movie-level! If only they would've ended G1 way back in the 80s this way. Well, I guess set it up for the Titans anyway. One can dream.

The action and pacing is so much better and faster in this one than in Power of Prime. Windblade's idealogy was so right though. She could've easily ended all war by ending all life. Sad she never got avenge her murdered friends though

Once he figures out peace through tyranny by killing every non cybertronian and cyberforming every planet in existence is impossible, he's not that bad of a bot.

I di like that they kept Hot Rods face for Rodimus instead of aging him up for no reason. The younger face makes his inexperience and rash action more tolerable. It's how I display my MP-09.
@@Fenris30 There were still a lot of decepticons on cybertron and rodimus and his autobots forced them off through sheer force of arms, He rescued a bunch of lost autobots from a backwater planet, held the first intergalactic peace conference and has far better connections with humans. Funnily enough, its only when optimus gets resurrected that the decepticons' numbers increase drastically and things escalate from then on compared to the surprisingly smooth leadership of rodimus.

It's nice to see fellow G1 kids who are now adults enjoying this series. Ive seen younger fans absolutely trash this. Just for Judd Nelson coming back as Hot Rod, and Overlord for obvious reasons I loved this, I loved War For Cybertron too however I have only watched it 2 times through where as the 86 movie ive watched more than any piece of transformers media.

There is more to this story than meets the eye Primes, for those that do not know. Lookup The Combiner Wars Trilogy, it is a miniseries spanning 3 seasons, not a movie.. It's great and only gets better. I'm looking forward to the continuation coming to Netflix. Transformers is much better when you focus on the TRANSFORMERS and not make them an afterthought to human drama MICHAEL BAY. Until all are one :)

Kinda hard for a Gun alt mode to get around as fast as a vehicle. And they did away with the whole all decepticons can fly thing a good while back. (Note in the first 3 episodes of G1 season 1 all transformers could fly) was a rather dumb idea to begin with that has no basis in science while the concept of autonomous, self aware, sentient robots is quite scientifically possible as well as them being able to transform in to other things. Being able to fly and the size shifting were always the most plot convenient and scientifically impossible aspects of the transformers.
@NOISEMAZE the Masterpiece Megatron (newer not first) is cartoon/comic accurate for both modes and looks great, great transformation. Was what the 1st toy should have been.
What about the most recent transformations they gave him in the comics? Not tank, gun, or jet.. but now they had him transform in to an autobot and then a pacifist autobot.
Amazing this mini-series is cheaper, shorter, and more coherent than any Michael Bay version.

Optimus Prime still deny’s his need for war. Like Unicron said in Transformers: Armada “Over the eons you’re proclamations of peace have always seemed pointless. You must admit you love the smell of battle.” The Unicron Trilogy was the best time when I saw combinations of Transformers. Like when 3 Mini-Cons form 1 powerful weapon. Back when Optimus was at his “A” Game. He combined with Jetfire, Overload, Wingsaber, Omega Supreme, & Leobreaker.

Thankfully not. I really enjoyed it, though did find a few things that I just felt needed editing and fixing, which I did my best to do here, but all in all, I didn't think it was THAT bad of a web series. I think some people can be too harsh honestly. Minor things can be fixed, bigger issues (Like the lip sync with the vocals) I just ignore... After years of watching Anime.. That is easy.

It's like an Elseworlds story where Lex Luthor and Superman just stop and coexist peacefully until 50 years later where they team up to fight Cyborg Superman.

Thank you. That was kinda difficult to find the right place to put it. Every time I tried to incorporate it where I felt it would smoothly fit into the whole narrative, it didn't. It actually was very noticeable and took me out of the film. But I did try at least.
Chris Collins was sorely missed in this movie. Starscream sounds more like Freza than anything.
