I'm excited for this. I was on the "WAITLIST" and now I get to have another version of this Batmobile. It's a tremendous idea. Over 40 differences from the original, clearly makes this not a reissue.
Absolutely agree!
Make sure you get on over to the Jazz Incs FB page and vote in the poll. Let em know youre on board 👍
I was super upset but seeing the photos and paintwork....its different.
I'm ok with it .
I'm currently building the 66 Batmomile from Fanhome. It's a bit smaller (1:8 rather than 1:6) but it's me building the car... awesome!
Great stream
Great stream as always, personally i am very happy for l the people that were in the waitlist, i am paying the 89 with them, but if they make this 68 i will order it, is almost the same car and for me it will do. For the people upset, like Jay said their are a business, is not a straight reissue, and i collect this thing not for selling them but for nostalgic reasons, in the end I'm so happy for everyone.
Greetings !!!
Thanks my friend. Yeah I think it’s cool for people who didn’t get the 66. Gatekeeping isn’t very becoming.
JAZZ incs FB poll is up.time to make your vote count 👍
I decided to pick up the 1968 Batmobile from JazzInc. the matte black paint finish looks so cool! ..and you know what this means - i will have to track down Batman and Robin by Hot Toys ..or, wait'n'see how the JazzInc. figures turn out? hmm..
I don't care for the value of my 66 Batmobile. It was a matter of acquiring one after the HT no-show. I'm happy for those who will finally get the 68 Batmobile, who, through no fault of their own, missed the 66 run.
Love my 66 as well. Lots of folks have confessed they regret not pulling that trigger. Glad they may have an option soon.
I've never been a fan of anything being "limited edition" for the reason that there are always new collectors coming in who didn't have a chance to acquire certain collectibles the first time around. I read a comment from someone who said they would've bought a Jazzinc '89 Batwing but didn't even know they existed until they were already sold out. I have a Jazzinc Batwing and I would be perfectly fine with Joost making another batch. There's even a couple of accuracy improvements he could make. Same with the '66. I have it too and I wouldn't care at all if Joost made more.
Now, I will say once you state something is "Limited Edition", you should stick to it. Of course, I'd rather collectibles never be limited to begin with.
Cheers, SSM
Totally agree. Now the question is semantics at this point I think. Is it another Batmobile from the same show? Yes. Is it different? Yes.
Thanks bud!
I respect everyone’s opinion but I’d be lying if I said I was excited for the value of my 1966 to inevitably drop further due to this new vehicle that is sorta like a re-issue/2.0. They can say it’s a new vehicle but in many ways it won’t be. But this is the hobby we’re in. I don’t look at my collectibles as investments but I also don’t want to pretend I love watching the value of everything I have plummet.
While I totally understand that, I don’t feel like the 66 will be reduced in value. They’re both so different in their own rights and many people I think will still be pining over the classic clean 66. I’m basing this off previous iterations like the Delorean and ECTO-1. What do you think?
That makes you a selfish collector. What kind of collector chooses to "maintain value" over fellow collectors having an opportunity to get a vehicle that satisfies their fandom??? I am not that kind of collector nor will I ever be. There will always be collector's out there that missed out on stuff and are willing to pay to get it. I wholeheartedly disagree that this vehicle would devalue your 66' Batmobile. Just like you said though, this is just my opinion and we are all allowed that.
@@sixscalemafia Totally agree. I didn't hear any kind of uproar when Hot Toys announced the DeLorean from BTTF 3.
@@webzllove1122 I’m the kind of collector who cares about his finances and value of the things he owns. If that makes me selfish then I’m very proud to be selfish.
@@webzllove1122 and that’s a fair point and might be more on me. When Joost said no re-issues or 2.0s, I took it far too literally. So think it was more the initial shock of like oh, okay, so this is gonna be just like Hot Toys. I’m not saying I’m not happy for others getting a shot to get one now.
I don't think Joost making the 68 is about business.. just making something interesting.. for the fans IMHO..
