I grew up on East Bay St. across from the cigar factory. My mother and grandmother worked at the cigar factory during the war. A trip down memory lane. The homes along East Bay St. were torn down some years ago. Our back yard was almost under the old Cooper River Bridge. No matter where I go Charleston will always be my home.
