hey man pretty cool guide and all but i have a question: is it worth using kill command with excess focus? i noticed it does more damage than arcane shot. i used to think it costs pet focus and had it in macros from previous expansion but it nevedr got used because it actually costs 40 focus

Arcane shot glyph is a bait, there will be very few arc shots in rotation. SS glyph simming the same on St with a rotation very unlikely to be executed in reality with the ES delay. As soon as there's any other target or lost uptime SS glyph pulls ahead. Will be the pick for sure

In cata would t we just replace steady shot with cobra shot? That would make Arcane better than steady shot if you’re not using it. Maybe I don’t understand
I was looking at that glyph being inserted on wowhead and my first thought was “no way”

I played wow for a total of 8 months in 2011 when Cataclysm first released. After watching your video it's crazy how spot on my build back then aligns with your choices. After 13 years I'm going to dive back into the game when Cataclysm re-releases.
So Cobra Shot will basically replace Steady Shot right?
Yes, cobra shot is essentially the same but it is magic damage so it is multiplied by your mastery thus it is better
Pasive we need aim 20,49% haste ?? or after all buffs ?? please answer me.
Pasive: 20,49% + BUff = more haste
or like 15% + buffs = 20.50% ??
the softcap is 757 haste aka 16,50%, aim only for that without buffs

Eng/alch at start till replace alch Tribkrt with raid trink. Then eng/jc. Then eng/bs in t13 jc gives 1 more agility then BS until t13. So can just go eng/bs after replace alch trink and only be down 1 ag

My comment seems to have been deleted so ill write it again - you DONT want to spam ES 3 times under a lock and load proc; the DoT from the third ES is overwriting the previous one, meaning to you 6-8 ticks instead of 9. You want to ES>ES>filler>ES - the ticks from the second ES need to be gone before you hit the third ES. Hunter discord trying to find fixes and so far Blizzard have been silent on whether this might be fixed.

Also, why does the third ES cause clipping but spamming the first two in a row doesn’t cause clipping? Shouldn’t you have to pause/use a filler between each ES that goes out?
Yes, you need to delay the second one as well. But not with a filler.

no, none of the guide for surv include KC on rotation. unless you are BM

Early cata it's more about reaching that hit and haste cap. Mastery is more of a bonus for us.

playing surival hunter in prepatch gamma dungeons feels so fking bad compared to Fmage or Ele shamans, like srsly imagine spamming 4 steady shots just to be able to do 1 multi , meanwhile ele shaman is spaming chain lightning for 10x dmg done. Even if multishots would cost 0 focus I believe ele shaman would do more aoe dmg...
well no kidding you are missing cobra shot that spell is literally 75% of your rotation
I'm the opposite, iv always mained hunter through the expansions and I'm loving it. Didn't play wotlk but waiting on Cata launch.
You should just be able to do 2 steady and then multi my guy, ur doing something wrong
