Dakshina Kannada is home to vast pristine forests. This is the story of our green warriors, a story of Duty and Sacrifice - The Guardians of the Green. The unyielding determination of our Forest officials has kept our forests safe. Their sacrifices are mysterious to the world, they work day and night in the secluded areas of our forests. This is just a glimpse of the hardship they face while performing their sacred duty to our mother nature. On the occasion of "National Forest Martyrs Day" we remember and salute all the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our natural environment.
