I really like the Idea of having playing GNB the entire level because it's the Anti-Peppino zone, but when you enter lap 2, BAM, now you have to play as Peppino the entire time all the way back to the gate.
So, about missing the toppin and having P-rank: Toppins, as unintuitive as it may be, are NOT a requirement for P-Rank, but it is still advisable to collect them since they give points, as attaining P-Rank requires you to have enough points for S-Rank, among the other requirements (side note: in Crumbling Tower, you need only get enough points and hold a combo from the first room to the last). therefor, what you have described in your intro is not a glitch, but just how the game works.
Doesn't that kinda contradict what that one Pizza Granny says about the P rank? If I remember correctly, it was said that it's required to "do everything there is to do in the level" which implies the Toppins, Gerome and Lap 2, while keeping a single combo going in order to obtain a P rank.

originally there was no explanation, but a genious commenter proposed the idea that these gustavos are actually clones, like the peppino clones you fight throughout the level. this is now the explanation.
Did you edit in the music in post? Only asking because it sounds way too loud, overpowering the game sounds, and it didn't sound seamlessly edited during secret level transitions, even switching to Peppino for the treasure.
1-It would be great if you could bounce into enemies like goblin bats so you can get to some places faster 2-i feel like the level is way too long, it could be a torture while trying to P-Rank 3-sorry for my bad english

The first part music is kinda bad, and The tile set picks are weird. Level it self is okay, but the secrets are incredibly obvious. I’m kinda confused as to what the theme is supposed to be
I made the music in soundtrap with 0 experience, no paid extensions or premium or whatever they have, and 0 knowledge of music theory. cut me some slack. the tile sets were supposed to convey something, then I changed that something, then I changed it again, and again, and- you see my point. I'm just too lazy to go back an change it. The secrets are obvious because everybody always complains about them being to difficult to find, so I thought I'd make a level where they're pretty easy to find, especially since this level is super long. the theme is SUPPOSED to be eerie and unsettling, and the second part is supposed to be the same, but more upbeat, to convey that you're nearing the end. If you think this level's music is bad, I highly recommend NOT checking out my first levels. Thank you for your incredibly kind and considerate critique of my tower.

no, you'd just turn back into peppino to get brick back, or exit the room. You need to kill it to get a p rank, though.
