For clarity, Bungie also made this years seasons free until June 4th (Defiance, Deep, Witch and Wish) which is why I mentioned the season passes. Otherwise, players can collect those season quests from the vendors in the HELM wings and Mara Sov in The Farm on the EDZ. Some quests may also be in the quest archive in the tower! Half the game is completely free right now haha :P
The only content that isn't free is the 30th anniversary and some dungeon keys

True but sadly people get kicked if they're not using meta builds and weapons in raids and "end game" content which kinda sucks.
I wish you could get the season pass armor from past seasons.
You can if you reached certain tier levels in that season and I think you can even access older seasons like Deep and Defiance using a 3rd party extension if I'm not mistaken.
I was so hyped because the ornaments from Season of the Witch are so good, I never owned the season pass but them making it free for a bit allowed me to get all of those ornaments.

Other games like deep rock have a way to swap between active battle passes so if you wanna grind a past one and get those rewards you can
Seeing as how older seasons had some good armour/ornaments we really need away to get those old sets by playing the game no eververse silver only crap

I'm hyped for D2 now that we have Onslaught and sunsetting is getting.....well sunset. My only regret is deleting my godroll Patron of Lost Causes. Loved that thing

I know it’s annoying that you lost the weapon but Bungie did mention how the new season will have methods of getting back older weapons that have been sunset. So we will have to wait and see.

I bought Annual pass and started playing again only on Deep season. Man, I want Defiance armor ornaments😢Warlock and Hunters’ ones are must have for me
They should give us the option to level up those prior season passes as well if you paid for them on release. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they're are making so much content free right before TFS but looking out for the people who paid for these passes on release and letting them level up the uncompleted ranks would be nice. :)

Warning, Xenophage is a weapon that can only be gotten by doing part of a dungeon, then going off on a different branch midway through. It can be soloed, but you're better off with at least one other player since it does have a restart if you die, and bad guys respawn in Pit at a pretty good clip.
Salvation's Grip, Lament, and most of the others he mentioned are just standard step quests.
Just joined back on to destiny. Last one I bought was shadow keep. Wish there was just a single complete update package to buy with final shape with all other expansions.

Since most people don't have that much free time, I would suggest going for Lament from Beyond Light and Parasite from Witch Queen at the least

i started like 2 weeks ago and already have 1 page full of exotics, haven't even used a quarter of them though either they just changed something recently or people complain to much.
I just wish we had the ability to progress previous season passes. If we paid for the pass we should still be able to get the items. After a aeason is over we should at least get the ornaments on the premium track.

Little frustrated here. I preorder Final Shape with the Annual Pass on Steam like a week before the delay was announced. So I got the ghost with the pyramids arranged around it, the Tesselation exotic fusion rifle, and the emote where you look like you’re meditating with the circle behind you with pyramids moving around the circle. Now steam says I haven’t preordered it, and I assume it’s because Bungie has added more to the expansion during the delay. Has anyone else have this happened to them?
Pretty sure it’s because of the delay, you had to confirm you still wanted the preorder. If you didn’t they refunded you.
I bought the deluxe editions of Beyond Light,Witch Queen,ShadowKeep too, but why not get all of the season rewards without having to unlock the ranking, to just let players get the old seasons without a lock.

You can get stasis subclass if you complete beyond light campaign and it took 2hrs for me to complete. It's free
you will lose it after final shape releases though

The only issue I see for free to play players is getting locked out of exotics because they won’t own the expansion when the new expansion drops and they take these away. They made the raid weapons free due to pantheon but I think the exotics will be locked out again come the 5th
I also really wish that we could at least get the cosmetics from past seasons :(

I should have mentioned, the dungeons still require a key as they technically weren't part of the season passes. I think pit of heresy is free with shadowkeep though, as they hadn't started with the dungeon keys in those days!

Bruh i came back like 2 weeks ago and just bought the season of the wish pass like 4 days ago and now its free
At least you'll get the season pass rewards for leveling and you have a two week jump on completing the season. I only got this last season too, so they dropped 3 new seasons in my lap all at once that have to be completed in less than a month. That's a *lot* of different things to do all at once. And that's not including Pantheon and Onslaught still going on.
It seems they best way to synergize is to have each character do the opening quest to each season, so any activity can drop up to 4 different types of rewards when you do anything.
I do feel your pain from spending money you didn't have to, but there is a small silver lining.

As a general rule, gear unlocks have remained accessible when bungie have featured content for free in the past. Also given how they have set this up (like the daily red border drops) they should all still be usable after the free phase ends :)

Stasis is for Beyond light. Strand is for Lightfall and I don't think it was included
Yes you can keep stasis after the free period is over as for strand you will need to own lightfall for it or if your on PlayStation you can get lightfall for free this month once claimed it’s yours permanently.

The content itself is only free until June 4th, but any weapon/armor/loot rewards unlocked in that time should still be usable afterwards :) Not certain about subclasses like stasis / strand though!

Yep. You have to do Starcrossed. If you want the catalyst, there's a quest that ends with completing it in Legendary mode

Also, just remember that as soon as Final Shape drops, you will lose access to these exotics unless you buy the dlc. You'll have them in your inventory, but they will be greyed out. The same thing happens with cross play. Had everything for PC, but when switching to PS, i couldn't use any weapons/subclasses without purchasing the DLCs.
The major problem I see with this is itwill incentivise new players to start playing, get all these weapons, and then when this free period is over they'll have to pay for all the dlc to use their weapons again. It's a money grab at it's heart and I don't like that personally. I have everything so it doesn't effect me, but this will have an effect on some of my friends who will want to play, with me during this time, and they'll have to fork out something like 150 just to keep playing.

@@bobertastic6541Shape your favorite raid weapons at the enclave as fast as you can because you won’t be able to reshape it after the free period. That includes Ostrio since it’s part of Witch Queen.
Smells like a clearance sale just before a new line comes out with new features making all the old stuff obsolete. This is a pattern with this game. Sure you can use the old stuff but it lacks features of the new stuff (origin traits) so you are hurting your build. So back to the grind.
