I started in last year February and now Alhamdulillah I have done Juz 30, 29 and started 28. It seems easy to me from starting from the end. Please pray for me to complete with understanding of it.

@@bebeali5468 alhamdulillah Can’t complain sisters. I learned to read as a kid, alhamdulillah. However I went for many years without reading and this affected me immensely. I ended up forgetting Surahs and my tajweed is terrible. Now I use sheikh Mohammed al Minshawi and just repeat after him or recite at the same time. Using a reciter helps immensely. Where do you reside? I live in the UK and We can do it together via WhatsApp or zoom. You don’t have to be able to read well to memorise, as we will be repeating after a reciter. Let me know if you are ok with learning together in sha Allah. I believe we need motivation.

I've got a 3 ways to help me memorize despite my laziness. I focus on one verse at a time (or 2 depending on length) I re-read it during 1. During the day. 2. In volentary prayers. 3. Before sleep It helps but I'm open to suggestions
I read about 5 pages with meaning of each word, trying to understand Quranic language of each ayah, then I read those 5 pages again and again with meaning, and then I memorize them one by one, Then I read 5 new pages with meaning, and keep reading them for some days, then memorize them, and keep reading previous 5 paged as well, and so in. and during that time, I keep revising older surah i memorized.

How to Memorize the Quran Properly. How do we do that? SEGMENT 1 - How to prepare before you start the process to memorize the Quran #1 Establish Taqwa of Allah. Quit the sins as much as you can. #2 5:00 As an adult if you want to memorize the Quran, you must love for the Quran #3 5:47 Must have daily connection and recitation of the Quran #4 Tajweed. Have a mentor and teacher. Its not mandatory to recite it perfectly but highly recommended. #5 Learn the language of the Quran. Not cultural Arabic or spoken Arabic necessarily but the Arabic of the Quran. #6 Have to make time for it and set aside time for it. You know the best time for yourself. FIX the time. You can't memorize in your spare time. Set time for it. #7 Choose a good place for the memorization of the Quran. Choose a place that is quiet and with less distractions. #8 Have a Quran buddy. #9 Write the verses that you are memorizing. Writing them helps you memorize. You can shred the papers when you are done #10 12:47 Make dua to Allah to help you memorize the Quran SEGMENT 2 - Start with short Surahs so you get encouragement seeing progress. - Start with surahs that you are familiar with. - Once you have momentum, you can start from the beginning. - Then start memorizing chunks and 1 ayah at a time. A lot of repetition. You can start repeating the ayah 20 times. Repeat 20 times by heart without a mistake and then move onto the next ayah. Once you memorize 1 ayah, repeat it together with the previous one so that you can connect them together. - As you memorize, you need to have 1 day a week that is ONLY for revision and you only rehearse what you already practiced. - Must set a regular daily time.
POINTS OF BENEFIT 1. It is not fard for every Muslim to memorise the Qur'aan. 2. The Qur'aan is the Speech of Allaah. What can be better than memoring the Speech of Allaah? 2. Pre-memorisation: i. Have consciousness of Allaah. Quit committing sins and doing mistakes. ii. Have love for the Qur'aan. How can you memorise the Qur’aan if you do not have love for the Qur'aan? iii. Have a Qur'aan buddy. Even the Prophet ﷺ had Jibreel. ix. Write what you will be memorising. x. Du'a. Ask Allaah to make it easy for you to memorise the Qur'aan. 3. Memorisation: i. Choose one copy for the mushaf and stick to that mushaf. Keep that mushaf protected. ii. Start with short Surahs so that you feel a sense of accomplishments. When you are done with the last three Juzz, memorise Surah that you are used to; for example, Surah Kahf. Then you start from Surah Kahf to other. iii. Read one aayah at least 200 times. Then you read it from memorisation 20 times. Afterwards you move to the next verse. You join the memorised verse. iv. Keep one day of the week for revision. No memorisation on that day. v. Use what you have memorised in Salah. Read larger and longer Surah in your Salah, particularly during the night prayer.

How to memorise the Quran
-Farmiliarise yourself with the Qur’an and recite regularly
- start with short Sarah’s
Will give you morale boost
-start with Sarah’s you are familiar with
Whether surah kahf or Rahman
- Then start surah Baqarah,
Devide surah in to small sections.
Memorise one ayat at a time with frequent repetition even 15x or 20x
If you do it 200 times there’s no way you can forget it . Requires a lot of dedication
-Repeat 20 times form heart without mistakes then move to the next ayah
Then do the same things
Then connect the two Aysha together then do 20 times without mistakes
Then connect what you memorised before ( review what you memorised together)
-Then read the next assignment then
-Give yourself 1 day of the week, no memorisation , just revision
As much as you can
So many times
-What to do with what you memorise
Must have a daily time with the Quran
-Use what your memorise in the Qur’an in your salah.
Don’t hold mushaf in salah , because when you forget you will cheat by looking and this weakens your memorisation.

Can’t complain sisters. I learned to read as a kid, alhamdulillah. However I went for many years without reading and this affected me immensely. I ended up forgetting Surahs and my tajweed is terrible.
Now I use sheikh Mohammed al Minshawi and just repeat after him or recite at the same time. Using a reciter helps immensely.
Where do you reside? I live in the UK and We can do it together via WhatsApp or zoom. You don’t have to be able to read well to memorise, as we will be repeating after a reciter.
Let me know if you are ok with learning together in sha Allah. I believe we need motivation.

Recommended Qur’an each page ends with an ayah instead of cut
And lines almost equal and identical and almost the moment of words per line are almost identical and easier to memorise

I've got a 3 ways to help me memorize despite my laziness. I focus on one verse at a time (or 2 depending on length) I re-read it during 1. During the day. 2. In volentary prayers. 3. Before sleep
It helps but I'm open to suggestions
For me, knowing the meaning of the ayah helped to put ayah together and made it easier alhamdulillah!

I read about 5 pages with meaning of each word, trying to understand Quranic language of each ayah, then I read those 5 pages again and again with meaning, and then I memorize them one by one,
Then I read 5 new pages with meaning, and keep reading them for some days, then memorize them, and keep reading previous 5 paged as well, and so in.
and during that time, I keep revising older surah i memorized.

How to Memorize the Quran Properly. How do we do that?
SEGMENT 1 - How to prepare before you start the process to memorize the Quran
#1 Establish Taqwa of Allah. Quit the sins as much as you can.
#2 5:00 As an adult if you want to memorize the Quran, you must love for the Quran
#3 5:47 Must have daily connection and recitation of the Quran
#4 Tajweed. Have a mentor and teacher. Its not mandatory to recite it perfectly but highly recommended.
#5 Learn the language of the Quran. Not cultural Arabic or spoken Arabic necessarily but the Arabic of the Quran.
#6 Have to make time for it and set aside time for it. You know the best time for yourself. FIX the time. You can't memorize in your spare time. Set time for it.
#7 Choose a good place for the memorization of the Quran. Choose a place that is quiet and with less distractions.
#8 Have a Quran buddy.
#9 Write the verses that you are memorizing. Writing them helps you memorize. You can shred the papers when you are done
#10 12:47 Make dua to Allah to help you memorize the Quran
SEGMENT 2
- Start with short Surahs so you get encouragement seeing progress.
- Start with surahs that you are familiar with.
- Once you have momentum, you can start from the beginning.
- Then start memorizing chunks and 1 ayah at a time. A lot of repetition. You can start repeating the ayah 20 times. Repeat 20 times by heart without a mistake and then move onto the next ayah. Once you memorize 1 ayah, repeat it together with the previous one so that you can connect them together.
- As you memorize, you need to have 1 day a week that is ONLY for revision and you only rehearse what you already practiced.
- Must set a regular daily time.
POINTS OF BENEFIT
1. It is not fard for every Muslim to memorise the Qur'aan.
2. The Qur'aan is the Speech of Allaah. What can be better than memoring the Speech of Allaah?
2. Pre-memorisation:
i. Have consciousness of Allaah. Quit committing sins and doing mistakes.
ii. Have love for the Qur'aan. How can you memorise the Qur’aan if you do not have love for the Qur'aan?
iii. Regular recitation of the Qur'aan. Have a daily connection with the Qur'aan.
iv. Learn tajweed so that you read the Qur'aan properly.
v. Learn Qur'aanic Arabic. Learn the most frequently used words and phrases of the Qur'aan. You will have a sense of what you are learning.
vi. Create time for it. Choose a good time for it. You will know what is the best time for you. Stick to that time.
vii. Choose a good place for the memorisation of the Qur'aan. Choose a place where you will not have much distraction.
viii. Have a Qur'aan buddy. Even the Prophet ﷺ had Jibreel.
ix. Write what you will be memorising.
x. Du'a. Ask Allaah to make it easy for you to memorise the Qur'aan.
3. Memorisation:
i. Choose one copy for the mushaf and stick to that mushaf. Keep that mushaf protected.
ii. Start with short Surahs so that you feel a sense of accomplishments. When you are done with the last three Juzz, memorise Surah that you are used to; for example, Surah Kahf. Then you start from Surah Kahf to other.
iii. Read one aayah at least 200 times. Then you read it from memorisation 20 times. Afterwards you move to the next verse. You join the memorised verse.
iv. Keep one day of the week for revision. No memorisation on that day.
v. Use what you have memorised in Salah. Read larger and longer Surah in your Salah, particularly during the night prayer.
Is it normal, that I memorize a page well, and it needs then like one week or more till I really can recite this page without any problems or gaps? I memorize a page, and one or two days after that, I have many gaps.
Yep its normal, it normally takes until I can review the whole juz before all the pages become really strong

my ustadha Dr Farhat Hashmi has her daughter Asma reciting on her utube channel and also my tajweed teacher Sr Ambreen also recites in all ustadhas clesses,There is a hifdh programme for sisters by Sr Asma on Dr Farhat Hashmis channel
