ive realised something. Monika wears black socks. but the others wear white. the others wear white and blue shoes. Monika wears white and pink. could this resemble something?

i believe Monika was designed with the intent to have her stand out from the others. including what you said, she also has a more natural hair color, eye color (excluding Sayori’s blue eyes) and her name is Monika which also stands out from the other’s japanese names. also the fact you cant “pursue” her in the first act of the game like you can with everyone else

Another thing to note is that all her sprites face forward [except her 'special' pose that bends down, but she still looks at the screen]. Natsuki's body does face forward in all her sprites, and so does Yuri in her special pose, but none of them directly completely face you
I still like how Ohayou Sayori! is the only song without a single piano part, since that's before you meet Monika. Team Salvato was a genius with this song.

I may sound stupid for saying this but does that mean the black tiles are her voice? 🧐
i didn’t leave this comment obviously but as someone who plays piano, the white keys are easier to play on their own as they are bigger (easier to hit) and are all natural notes, whereas the black keys are flats/sharps and smaller keys so using them along with white keys is a bit harder. most beginners will gravitate towards songs that just use white keys for that reason. i hope that helps!

I've been thinking, there's a theory that whenever there's a piano in the theme it's because monika is doing something in the code(That's the instrument she can play.)
In the "Sayo-nara" theme the first thing you hear is the classic tone of the menu but being slowly distorted, as if the game immediately tries to throw you to the menu, but is prevented, in other themes the piano seems to be a complement , but here he owns the whole stage, it makes me think that monika rewrote this song.
She wrote over the top of the song which was supposed to be something like "Sayori's...(Put something here about being late)" Meaning you were on sayori's route.
you just made me realize how "sayo-nara" isn't just a casual way of saying goodbye, but it also is a hint to sayori. sayo-ri!!!!

Even tho a lot of these songs are happy and up beat I can’t help but feel fucking miserable listening to them knowing that these happy jolly songs are from a world with only sadness and bad endings may reside
I Like how the songs increasingly get darker and more gloomy, like from the start song aka the main theme is all happy, meanwhile I still love you feels like numb and like loneliness

Sayonara just makes my face tense up.
The instrumentals are deliberately out of tune and the ethereal synth vocals....freaky.
Of course, the piece is associated with...well...you know, but the idea of making the player severely uncomfortable by fucking with the music was genius.
And even in "Just Monika", there are the echoes of the original theme/musical motif of the game. It's only ever three notes at a time, and they're...not quite right, but it's there.

But DDLC was definetly a once in a lifetime situation. So no wonder there are only few that compare to it in quality.

07 makes me very nalstogic in a way. I know DDLC came out in 2017, and yes, I heard of it then, but I didn't start investing in it till 2020, when I was 13. Эх, недавно дошёл до смерти Сайори. Хотя я старался сделать так чтобы не происходило ничего плохого, но похоже что в Доки Доки нет хороших концовок. Ещё и грустно как то стало после этого, хотя я смотрел от ютуберов прохождения, и я не думал что мне станет грустно после повторного видения смерти
У грі є одна хороша кінцівка.Якщо в перших двух актах заполучити всі png з всіма персонажами(написавши їм поему,по моєму таких картинок всього 9) То в кінці 4 акту Сайорі хоч і получить "Усвідомлення себе,гри" але вона це прийме і подякує МС за весь час у грі,за те що хотів зробити щасливими всіх дівчат.Але смерті Сайрі,Юрі і видалення нацукі в 1-2 актах не можливо уникнути.
Але в грі є ще дві кінцівки.

What I like about poem panic is that it's a whole embodiment of an argument escalating over time
09, 10, 12, 13 and 14 are the most emotional ones for me.
This game is one hell of a mindfuckery.
It lures you in for all the nice stuff, you were probably thinking during your first playthrough: "What the hell is gonna happen? This game is js perfect!!!" But then, you find some clues, raising suspicion, and then finding out that Sayori has depression. After the confession, all the other things, thinking you have it all under control, it gives you hope. Yet, *it's false hope.* The next day, Sayori is no more. The game buzzards you with EVERY LITTLE THING you could've done to prevent this. It kills your morale within an instant, and your sanity.
This is the turning point.
Even after Sayori going bye-bye, the game still tries to be "oh its so fun and cute!!!" Yet it totally fails, slowly but surely inching the game toward no return. After Yuri's crazy death, hell, ALL OF THEIR DEATHS, the game... is basically no longer a game. It's just...
*Total chaos.*

I have a great idea off a new doki doki game called doki doki dreams that has new characters their names are: Zuki is replaced by monika as the leader. She has pink hair and a ponytail and pink eyes. Sayori is gonna be replaced by Miyuki A girl with brown curly hair and brown eyes. Natsuki will become Naomi, she has white short hair and blue eyes. And at last yuri will be replaced by Honako a girl with straight long blavk hair and a flower in her hair. Edit: the game is about a character u moving in to a new town and on the way to school u meet Miyuki that places a note in ur locker after school and asks if he/she could come to the literature club for something. There he meets Naomi , Honako and Zuki. But heres a thing after monika closed ddlc. Zuki, Naomi, Honako and zuki was planning to k!ll u to get into ur reality.
I hope doki doki will see this idea sometime…
