This man has it hard, he’s in the nhl, EVERYONE wants to meet him and he try’s his best to meet everyone but he has his own life to live too, his life is basically, hockey, training, eat, practice, sign autographs, and repeat. How much time does he get to spend with his family? The only time he can see his friends or family is if they are on his team or if they are at the arena. This right here is a man who takes HIS OWN time to do this. He could’ve been at home doing his own thing but he wasn’t forced to sign jerseys or pics he chose to this man is a legend

How does a hockey fan hate Mcdavid....so fun to watch him hes insane. Im a penguins fan and if he pots 4 on murray and they lose 4-0 who cares. If your a hockey fan first you appreciate this talent in our lifetime.

When Conner played for the Erie Otters his interaction with the community and especially the youth was outstanding. It was a true pleasure watching Conner, and his skills grow. His popularity will continue to grow and there may be days when he at can't sign every autograph or be as polite as you think he should be, be patient, he's young and only has so much time available to be "mingle" with the public.
I was fortunate enough to be at an event where he was signing and taking photos, really handled it with class and a great representative for hockey.
The thing is that nobody hates him.

Hockey players are the best. So many of them come from humble beginnings, and grew up in small towns, and they're the most ego-free athletes in professional sports.
They also love to play. They hate being out. They aren’t prima donnas.

I sent a card to McDavid/ the Oilers in March 2020 and he signed it and sent it back to me when the players returned to the playoff bubble. I'm a habs fan but I love watching him play.

I saw Conner McDavid several times during IIHF 2018 ignore children who had come to see their big star play. He did not even look at them when he ran on the ice ..... it was so disappointing to see
I think that right now, 2021 ( and maybe the past couple of years too ) he is the best player out there.
Let us not forget that MANY MANY other players do the same charity-wise.

Why would any hockey fan, of any team, hate this kid? So rarely does someone live up to their hype as he has. In 40 years of watching and playing hockey, McDavid is the most naturally talented player I have ever seen. Crosby has also been a victim of this. But as good as Crosby is, McDavid just has it ALL. Size, speed, finesse, hockey IQ. Sickening...
Whats to hate about this kid.He is an amazing player more importantly he is humble and he realizes he is in a position to help others and does it.Very cool that his agent is Bobby Orr who himself was a monster player yet humble and allways there for the kids at the local hospitals in Boston.

I attended nearly every home game McDavid played as an Erie Otter. He had moves I'd never seen another OHL player make. But his best move was his unannounced return to Erie as an Oiler to support the Otters great playoff run. At the end of an Otters' win, when everyone was leaving someone noticed Connor in a suite and an excited crowd swarmed him. There were no cameras or cell phones on him. He continuously signed autographs for everyone for a long time. I yelled "Conner your a class act !" My buddy said, do you think he heard you? It didn't matter, everyone around me agreed, Connor McDavid IS a truly great guy and a class act. Oh yeah, he's also a pretty good hockey player.
I loved watching him play as an otter. When he still lived in Erie, he even coached one of my spring league games lol

How could you hate Connor McDavid? If you say you wouldn't give up any player on your team for him, you're lying. He's absolutely brilliant to watch, for him or against. Anything he does for fans away from the ice is just gravy.

I believe that’s how any good human should act especially when their watched, loved , and supported by millions of people out there and if they don’t then their really not good people and it’s up to us to stop supporting them in whatever it is their doing, because yes they stayed with whatever it is their doing to make themselves the best at it , but it’s us who’s ultimately paying their wages in the long run and people who are in those positions and do nothing for nobody other then themselves should be reminded how easily it can be taken away also. It’s definitely a hard life being in the spotlight so much , but there’s many perks also for family, friends, anyone who helped you along the way, and of course yourself as you definitely deserve it also. Anyone who loves hockey doesn't hate Connor McDavid. Maybe we don't want the Oilers to win, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate the talent from one end of the NHL to the other. Luckily we can still do that while cheering for our own respective teams. At least most of us can. Ontario has quite a few great players in the league so I just wish, as a Leaf fan, it wouldn't feel so much like a home game for them with family and friends around cheering them on! LOL McDavid is a class act and a great role model.

I think McDavid for all of the immense f###ing pressure he's under, comes across as a decent human being. If he doesn't smile much, well, I don't know how mentally screwed I would be if I was carrying the hopes of a city and Oilers fans around the world on my shoulders. Moreover, expectations of greatness from every NHL watcher on the freaking planet. Sure he has money, but it would be pretty damn lonely at times. Despite all of the above, he still takes time to do a lot of PR, sign autographs. There are a lot of famous players under far less scrutiny who certainly don't do what he does.
