All us bunny & other pet lovers are crying our eyes out. We never knew Bini personally but he was our virtual bunny friend too. Just as we don't know Shai personally but our virtual friends are real freinds too. You might want to edit Your post to correct Shai's name spelling. Loosing a fur baby is as great & true a loss as loosing anyone You love. Love knows no species limitations.

I'm so sorry, Shai. 😔 I know the pain. It's excruciating. My bunnies crossed the rainbow bridge many years ago and still it hurts sometimes and I miss them a lot, even though I believe they're now in bunny heaven, playing with their friends, happily munching on the most exquisite hay and enjoying as much watermelon, berries and banana as they could possibly want. Bini sure has an extraordinary story to share with the other buns, looking back on a life filled with so much love and true friendship between the two of you, and having had the chance to leave a legacy that will hopefully continue to help many bunnies have a better life in the future and bring a smile to many people's faces. My heart is broken for you. I lost my beloved Bug in March this year. He was an astonishing 14 yrs old. I miss him every day but now Poppet has hopped into my heart. I told him all about Bug and that's helped a lot. Poppet and I wish you healing and peace, friend 🐰💗🐰

So sad to hear. I remember, back in 2016 as I lost my "last bunny". He was the oldest one, of some. He turned 11 years! Yes, that's right. Even the vet was amazed, that he was so old. I let him die in the home he has known. Even there he fought a bit and tried to stay, until I found a way to comfort him. He was then sleeping away very peaceful, while the birds started to sing outside. I will never forget that day. Thank you so much for all the videos and much love. ❤️🤗

I'm so sorry for your loss. 😢❤ I used to have 2 rabbits. I named them Peanut and Oreo. They were born on the 8th of March and on the 24h of July, Peanut passed away. He was unwell with GI Stasis for 3 weeks. We took him to the vets as soon as possible and I fed him meds every day until he died. The vet told me it was unlikely that he'd survive but I still had hopes. I didn't expect him to die. I woke up and went to feed them and saw Peanut lying there, with ½ of his body in the litter tray and the other ½ of his body out of the litter tray. I cried so much and I still do. I'll always love him and he'll always be in my heart. I couldn't bare to get another rabbit because I was scared. So now, I try to spend as much time with Oreo as possible. ❤ He's always with me. I don't want to miss anything or regret that I didn't spend enough time with him. 😭
I'm approaching the 2 year mark of my baby bun girl on Sept 23. Time will eventually heal. I still talk to her n sing to her almost every day. We can never forget n somehow find strength to go on. I had to go through the same thing earlier this year, having to say goodbye to my 9 year old bunny Fudge. I hope Bini passed on peacefully. May he hop happy and free along the rainbow bridge 🌈 May the love you felt for that little bunny show itself to you during your life in many more shapes and forms. @@SimplyTasnia Aww I'm so sorry to about Peanut. GI Stasis can indeed be awful to deal with. I've had it happen to my bunnies a fair couple times too, but I'm very lucky to have meds on hand, as well as forcefeed formula that has luckily worked every single time. But yeh sometimes despite your best efforts things don't pan out as you would have hoped. Bad luck sadly exists. I'm sure you did all you could to save Peanut!! And as long as you have an indoor bun, then I'm sure Oreo is happy too. As long as he has a partner (in this case you) to bond with, then I'm sure he's happy!! I've had a similar fluke of bad luck happen with Fudge. He's had e. Cuniculi ever since he was young, but only started showing symptoms around age 7. Ever since he's been on and off courses of Meranox (medication that helps boosts his natural immunity, in order to keep the bacteria at bay). During the last year of his life, I basically kept him on Meranox permanently, as he functioned way better than without it. I had to scoop him up twice daily in order to administer it. Occasionally, mostly during winter and rainy periods, he'd also get urine scalding and fur loss, due to the bacteria affecting his bladder. Took quite some time to get all that sorted out. Lots of butt baths, but eventually all of his fur returned. TW: maggots Throughout June I noticed he was losing a fair bit of weight. I wasn't quite sure why, as he was still eating well. I bought him some special, high calorie pellets to help him put on weight. Then one day I noticed his genitals were very swollen. Like a small balloon. It looked extremely painful. I immediately took him to the vet to get it checked. I thought he had maybe gotten bitten by something down there... Turned out it was flystrike. The maggots were already in fairly deep in his groin area, and given his age operation wasn't an option. Even a heavy course of antibiotics would not be good for him. There's nothing they could do. So right then and there I had to decide that it was probably best to let my little man go. I didn't want him to be in pain like this any longer. It was extremely abrupt, as I literally just thought he might need some cream and would be good to go. Looking back the weight loss was also caused by the maggots. it was basically his body putting all energy into fighting the infection, thus burning through a lot of his reserves. It's extremely unfortunate. Even the vet told me I took all precautions necessary, but Fudge just had extremely bad luck. I removed cecotropes if he forgot to eat them, I'd make sure their cage was nice and clean. But his elderly age, combined with lack of awareness (he mostly just snoozed), compromised immune system, and optimal temperatures for flies to reproduce, probably just made him a very easy target for flies. I wish I could have prevented it. The day prior to going to the vet I had literally viewed his groin area, and everything looked all OK. If it weren't for the flies, he probably would have lived another year or so, I'm quite sure of that. I just wish he could have passed in a more peaceful way. After roughly 4 weeks I decided to start looking for a new partner for my other bunny Hazel, as I didn't want her to be lonely. She deserved another partner. So I adopted Mochi from a local bunny shelter after having her date various bachelor bunnies there 😊

I'm so sorry, Shai. 😔 I know the pain. It's excruciating. My bunnies crossed the rainbow bridge many years ago and still it hurts sometimes and I miss them a lot, even though I believe they're now in bunny heaven, playing with their friends, happily munching on the most exquisite hay and enjoying as much watermelon, berries and banana as they could possibly want. Bini sure has an extraordinary story to share with the other buns, looking back on a life filled with so much love and true friendship between the two of you, and having had the chance to leave a legacy that will hopefully continue to help many bunnies have a better life in the future and bring a smile to many people's faces.

So sad to hear. I remember, back in 2016 as I lost my "last bunny". He was the oldest one, of some. He turned 11 years! Yes, that's right. Even the vet was amazed, that he was so old. I let him die in the home he has known. Even there he fought a bit and tried to stay, until I found a way to comfort him. He was then sleeping away very peaceful, while the birds started to sing outside. I will never forget that day.

I used to have 2 rabbits. I named them Peanut and Oreo. They were born on the 8th of March and on the 24h of July, Peanut passed away. He was unwell with GI Stasis for 3 weeks. We took him to the vets as soon as possible and I fed him meds every day until he died. The vet told me it was unlikely that he'd survive but I still had hopes. I didn't expect him to die. I woke up and went to feed them and saw Peanut lying there, with ½ of his body in the litter tray and the other ½ of his body out of the litter tray. I cried so much and I still do. I'll always love him and he'll always be in my heart. I couldn't bare to get another rabbit because I was scared. So now, I try to spend as much time with Oreo as possible. ❤ He's always with me. I don't want to miss anything or regret that I didn't spend enough time with him. 😭
I'm approaching the 2 year mark of my baby bun girl on Sept 23. Time will eventually heal. I still talk to her n sing to her almost every day. We can never forget n somehow find strength to go on. I'm so sorry to hear about Bini. I've seen Bini pass by on my CZcams feed for the past couple years. Losing a close friend like that is heart breaking. I had to go through the same thing earlier this year, having to say goodbye to my 9 year old bunny Fudge. I hope Bini passed on peacefully. May he hop happy and free along the rainbow bridge 🌈 May the love you felt for that little bunny show itself to you during your life in many more shapes and forms. @@SimplyTasnia Aww I'm so sorry to about Peanut. GI Stasis can indeed be awful to deal with. I've had it happen to my bunnies a fair couple times too, but I'm very lucky to have meds on hand, as well as forcefeed formula that has luckily worked every single time. But yeh sometimes despite your best efforts things don't pan out as you would have hoped. Bad luck sadly exists. I'm sure you did all you could to save Peanut!! And as long as you have an indoor bun, then I'm sure Oreo is happy too. As long as he has a partner (in this case you) to bond with, then I'm sure he's happy!!
I've had a similar fluke of bad luck happen with Fudge. He's had e. Cuniculi ever since he was young, but only started showing symptoms around age 7. Ever since he's been on and off courses of Meranox (medication that helps boosts his natural immunity, in order to keep the bacteria at bay). During the last year of his life, I basically kept him on Meranox permanently, as he functioned way better than without it. I had to scoop him up twice daily in order to administer it. Occasionally, mostly during winter and rainy periods, he'd also get urine scalding and fur loss, due to the bacteria affecting his bladder. Took quite some time to get all that sorted out. Lots of butt baths, but eventually all of his fur returned.

Throughout June I noticed he was losing a fair bit of weight. I wasn't quite sure why, as he was still eating well. I bought him some special, high calorie pellets to help him put on weight. Then one day I noticed his genitals were very swollen. Like a small balloon. It looked extremely painful. I immediately took him to the vet to get it checked. I thought he had maybe gotten bitten by something down there... Turned out it was flystrike. The maggots were already in fairly deep in his groin area, and given his age operation wasn't an option. Even a heavy course of antibiotics would not be good for him. There's nothing they could do. So right then and there I had to decide that it was probably best to let my little man go. I didn't want him to be in pain like this any longer. It was extremely abrupt, as I literally just thought he might need some cream and would be good to go.
Looking back the weight loss was also caused by the maggots. it was basically his body putting all energy into fighting the infection, thus burning through a lot of his reserves.
It's extremely unfortunate. Even the vet told me I took all precautions necessary, but Fudge just had extremely bad luck. I removed cecotropes if he forgot to eat them, I'd make sure their cage was nice and clean. But his elderly age, combined with lack of awareness (he mostly just snoozed), compromised immune system, and optimal temperatures for flies to reproduce, probably just made him a very easy target for flies. I wish I could have prevented it. The day prior to going to the vet I had literally viewed his groin area, and everything looked all OK. If it weren't for the flies, he probably would have lived another year or so, I'm quite sure of that. I just wish he could have passed in a more peaceful way.
After roughly 4 weeks I decided to start looking for a new partner for my other bunny Hazel, as I didn't want her to be lonely. She deserved another partner. So I adopted Mochi from a local bunny shelter after having her date various bachelor bunnies there 😊

Oh, no! I'm so sorry, sweetie! You brought so much joy over the years by sharing Bini with us! I think we all know how hard it is to lose a fur baby-- they are family! Just so you know, my Boyo crossed the Rainbow Bridge over 5 years ago but I know him well enough to know he was there to greet Bini and make him feel welcome (he was a lover, not a fighter). Your Bini will be watching over you and he will be happy and well taken care of until you both meet again!🤗💝🤗
