- Hello everyone! Today we reviewed my friend's work truck, a 1999 GMC Sonoma. This has been my favorite review that I have done so far (not for long! ;)) This truck was a lot of fun to drive, I love older cars!

I have a 1999 Sonoma, given to me by my grandpa, its 5 speed manual, and fun to drive. Im definitely keeping it till i die
@@julianortiz8391 that is awesome! Great to hear! I’d love to drive the 5 speed manual version.
I have a 1999 GMC Sonoma and it is a great daily ride
@@Tony-nf8ny that’s fantastic! It’s a great truck!
I bought a new 99 S10 back then, same pewter color, but mine had the ZQ8 pkg, same lowering kit as the Extreme with Gator year gator tires, it handled like a Porsche but had a very low powered 4 cylinder but still loved that truck
It really does handle well. I've gotten so used to it that I scare people taking 55mph turns at 75mph smoothly
That is super cool!!
was thinking about getting this car. thanks for such an insightful video! helped me with my decision! so funny it has chevy in the front lol
I agree!! 😂
i agree I drive this truck very accurate review 🫡
I’m glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Hardly too old, daily drive a 99 Dodge Grand Caravan and it's doing just fine w/ 243k on it.
Impressive!
Ive got the same exact truck, 250k all original truck. Only new part is a radiator i put in last week. Was low on coolant for a year before seeing the cracks in the radiator.
@@osmotic_biscuit_6080 very impressive!! It’s a great truck!
Great Video, very funny and informative 😂
Glad you enjoyed!
Very nice review!
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
The vehicle doesn't know it's old!
I have a 2001 Saturn LW300 I bought new.
It currently has 335,000 miles on the original engine and transmission and starts stops runs and drives perfectly.
The only thing that doesn't work on it is the cassette player.
In June we went on a 2000 Mi round trip from Wisconsin to Texas to pick up our new German Shepherd puppy.
Never failed to start or leave anybody stranded and problems have been few and far between and mostly minor.
I have three other vehicles including a 2024 but I'm not afraid to drive to Saturn anytime or for any distance.
With proper maintenance and the owner willing to pay for repairs vehicles can last almost indefinitely and safely be driven every day.
@@williamegler8771 that is very impressive!! And great to know, I’m so glad your car has lasted you this long! I hope it lasts even more.
@@gavsperience I aiming for 500,000

@@Trucker120 600k! Thats impressive! Thank you for the list that’s really interesting these trucks are all so similar.
@@gavsperience i know still runing good as well

Very impressive!! Super cool they have lasted so long, thats great. I agree, older stuff is just better!
chevy sonoma gmc s10 what's going on
Confusing right!!! The truck doesn’t even know what’s going on with it.
@@gavsperience Could you tell me why it doesn't have front fog lights, mirrors turn signals, or fender turn signals? Does it have a naturally aspirated Fuel injection V8 quadra steer package? It's messing a lot of features, though? am i right😂
@@gavsperience doesn't Are bed lights required in the US ?
@@SNLOOB it is originally a 99 Sonoma, it had front end damage so it was replaced with a Chevy front end that fit it. This has the 2.2 4 cylinder engine, so I don’t think it would come with all those features if it is a lower trim model.
@@SNLOOB I am not sure if at this time period any bed lights were a requirement in the US.
an easy daily driver no problem
@@jmsmilin absolutely!!
