Love the video
hey chris, do you think you could start time stamping the topics?
Thanks for the wallet mr Van CZcams
that'd be one hell of an interview there, if u get Stone Cold Steve Austin. Please try to get the OG legends like Stone Cold, Rock, Jim Ross, Terry Funk, Jake The Snake, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Xpac, Nash, Hall
Great job Chris. Eric Young what a cool chill dude. WWE's loss. Vinnie Mac is out of touch. I wanted to see Eric Young vs Daniel Bryan. Oh well
Seeing Eric Young run after the 24/7 Champion broke my heart.
Yours too huh? Vince wasting good talent as always.
True, but I could day the same thing for Bobby Roode. Another guy getting buried by the WWE's shitty system
@@lordevyl8317 At least Bobby Roode wasn't a jobber and he won the US and Tag Titles. Eric Young did absolutely nothing on RAW or SD.
@@LuigiTheItalian The US and IC titles are virtually worthless these days, they get hot shotted around more than a pornstar in a gangbang
@@lordevyl8317 true dat. I always have to remind myself who the champions are.
Eric Young is without a doubt one of the most underrated wrestlers in wrestling history.
Very true
Lol. Not even in the top 20. He seems like a nice dude tho
I think that Zack Ryder is underrated
@Bll Zok jobbers don't have long careers and jobbers don't win championships which is two things eric young has done so your claim of him being a jobbers is complete and total bullshit.
@@ralphlowrey 👏👏👏👏 thank you my thoughts exactly
I bet Triple H himself is not happy with Vince’s decisions. If he wasn’t married to his daughter he would be running his own company.
This is why Triple H needs to speak up and tell Vince to retire the guy is 74 years old let Triple H run the company and build Raw and Smackdown the same as NXT just imagine how much better that would be
HHH is fine with the decisions, a simple text keeps him looking cool and all but he's not once went to bat for any of these people. He's always been a political snake.
Their head of talent relations isn't hearing about this beforehand? How gullible are we.
Facts because Vince only likes big guy’s
Mike Aceto if he speaks up he’s demoted. Vince will never give up control until he is forced out.
Yeap i agree 100% but hopefully vince mcmahon lets hunter take charge of the titantic(wwe) and hopefully wwe will turn a corner and improve...definitely for sure vince mcmahon created wwe and his vision was amazing but somewhere along the line he has lost touch with evrything in wrestling....if vince doesnt do something then things might not go his way but dont get me wrong i still love wwe and i really hope that wwe do improve i really really do
Sanity was a really cool concept. WWE really dropped the ball...again.
Finally EY and ODB back together again. I been waiting years for this again.
jr Perez its not even that we dont walk talking. talking its part of it. just. we dont want. their talking. you know?
lowkey YES!!
@Bll Zok are you this desperate for attention?... you're clearly not 35 like you said....you a chump
Well Eric not wearing a ring
Sanity was pure gold!! At this point, nothing surprises me, but I can't wrap my head around WWE destroying that group. Again, nothing they do surprises me.
So true...anything good in Nxt or WWE Vince destroys
Sanity was a mid-card act at best. To say that Sanity was pure gold is a huge stretch lol
@@ArtsyAllAround A good midcard act is valuable. A three hour show can't have six main events.
I appreciate those of you who tell me my opinion is wrong, thank you for knowing better than me.
@Zamza Nothing to do with my big (thank you) ego. NXT presented them differently than any other act. The camera work, the lights, the music, it was GOLD...they main evented the first War Games. Once they got to the main roster, they stripped everything that got them there. You go from main eventing Takeovers to not even being used? I will never understand it.
His comments about HHH just makes there no doubt that vince needs to step down or step aside
Timestamp?
Smart marks think they know Vince, but they don't.
@Zamza He absolutely knows this business. A lot of smarks don't know what it's like to work every day of your life for 30+ years building your business so that people can tell you, form their couches, that you're not doing it right.
Kevin Edwards I usually agree but last raw was leas than 1.5 mill in viewers so something needs to change (probably the writers)
@@ryleycarroll9486 No... TV ratings aren't that important anymore - especially during a pandemic when everyone's content is suffering. Wrestling fans have been conditioned to think that TV ratings are important because everyone remembers or heard about the Monday Night Wars, but times have changed. You don't sit in front of the TV now as much as you did 5 or 10 years ago.
Always liked EY. Glad to see him back and Impact is gaining some traction. It brought me back after 5 years of not watching Impact
Hell yeah
I saw Eric in a dark WWE match, super underrated... glad he’s back in Impact
he is deffo underated
former world champion in tna
brought into wwe to job to wwe stars
I was watching a documentary about IMAGE Comics, and that revolution was chiefly about Artist's creative control/character ownership, versus Corporate creative control/ownership. It seems to me that modern Wrestling is in a sense about having a place they can work for themselves too...
I really enjoyed this video! Can’t believe this is for free, thank you for showing us great interviews! Wishing your further success, Mr Chris! From a wrestling fan in Japan.
Great interview Chris, so happy that you got a sponser. You've come a long way. Keep up the good work
Glad I woke up to this. Thanks CVV.
did you wake up to some lovin’? everybody needs a good morning bonk
I am stoked for Eric, one of my favorite wrestlers and EXTREMELY underrated, so glad he's back in the company where he's appreciated
Mox was once billed as a "Lunatic Fringe" EY is a lunatic. EY had the crazy down to a science. You couldn't tell when he slipped in or out of character. WWE had a legit lunatic and let him slip through their fingers.....oh well onward an upward!
@Bll Zok his promos are gold and immediately get a crowd behind him and his wrestling has been absolutely fine for the last year that he's been gone from that pos promotion
@Bll Zok that's just not true. Watch him in njpw. He hits hard. He wrestled soft in wwe but not now
@Bll Zok "you nerds". Because itd only the other wrestling fans who watch this stuff are nerds right? Not you. You're a cool mark.
@@Dave_ja_vu it's simple, anyone who cares more than him is a nerd, anyone who cares less is a casual, he's the only one fan who really gets wrestling
@@Althification right? 😆
Eric young the man who can put anything over
I swear..i miss the Old eric ..with beard.I miss the Sanity. They can destroy the Shield easily......I promise
Best wrestling interviews out there! Always love it when a CVV video pops up!
I remember don't mind when TNA replicated Daniel Bryan like storyline with Ey
I went to a wwe show in Savannah a year or so ago and didn't even know who Eric Young was prior to attending...he wrestled in an undercard match in a tag team and he simply stole the show. He by far put in the best performance of the night.
Excellent video!!! I’ve been wanting to hear from EY since his WWE release.
I'm new to this channel and I really enjoy it. I love how Chris asks great and respectful questions and he let's the wrestler's talk.
Thanks Chuck! Welcome to the channel! 👍👍
@@ChrisVanVliet No problem, Thank you for being a healthy contributor to the wrestling industry.
Another awesome Vid CVV :) I look forward to your interviews so much!
It's interesting to me that Chris Jericho has talked so much about having to go and pitch things to Vince. I think everyone I've seen in an interview since has talked about pitching things and nothing coming from it.
That has to be so incredibly frustrating to be making to be in the best financial situation of your life and hating to go into work every time.
That's why many wrestlers go there for 2 or 3 years, only to get the big money and make their name bigger, and then they go back indy/njpw to make more money and be free.
@Zamza do you actually think that?
Been a fan of EY since TNA and I’m glad he’s back where he belongs Wrestling
EY’s looking like Stone Cold Steve Austin’s little brother.
more like a homeless beat up guy. Didn't recognized him at first :-D
The Canadian Rattlesnake. 🤣
Ice Cold Eric Young
More like Bruno Gunn who is a Darklighter in charmed, and Brutus from The Hunger Games
Daniel D. And MJF will surpass The Rock 🤣
Once again, Thanks Chris👍🏻
Another fantastic interview. I've always said that WWE has become so big. How huge talented former TNA, ECW, WCW players have wasted away on the sidelines due to the regime at Titan Towers
I think this is the first time I've heard EY speak out of character. Another great CVV interview.
EY one of the most underrated wrestlers ever!! From Team Canada to don't Fire Eric and him with ODB. This dude does it all and he's an extraordinary talent that the WWE balked on big time. Thank you CVV, Eric Young is hands down one of my favorite wrestlers and Thank You EY for the years of work you've given the fans.
Most definitely one of the most underrated wrestlers of this era and one of my personal favorites. I actually still have his T-shirt from when he tagged with Orlando Jordan and TNA back in the day the shirt said I heart tag teams still one of my favorite pro wrestling tees to this day...
The fact that it's common for wrestlers to go from loving what they're doing to hating it goes to show how WWE/Vince doesn't know how to use his roster.
I'm happy for EY
SANITY had one of the coolest entrances too!!
Eric young seems like a nice guy and should have one a title in wwe
He was NXT Tag Team Champion
He’s a very cool guy. Played lots of hockey with him in Nashville. Wanted to be a huge mark every time I saw him, but you can’t do that on the ice or in a locker room hahaha!
He did in the only place that really matters in wwe at this point, was part of the top act there.
he also should have won a couple lol. just fuckin with ya I'm not one that should point out proper grammar.
@@digitama I mean signals
Thanks Chris great interview as always!
Back in like '04-05 is when I started watching TNA along with WWE. I was drawn to EY right away. He is very underrated. However, my favourite work of his, was Insanity. So good.
Don and Scott have really turned the Impact ship around and it’s so nice to have 2 companies, Impact/AEW who actually care with wrestlers who are busting their ass to put out their best work.
It seems like in WWE, you will only have a successful career if you stay in NXT, unless you’re very lucky... I see why Gargano & Ciampa won’t leave
Bll Zok it seems your a doofus because this is a fact, go look at the list of Nxt champions and most of that list are fucking jobbers on main roster or there ceiling is the upper midcard
It's going to be the Battle of the Piledrivers: the EY Driver vs. the Callihan Driver.
Hey Eric, you were the star of the night in Canton, Ohio while in WWE...the EY Chants from our section was a tribute to you BRO, thanks 😎👍🏼
I’m amazed how he formulates his question very meticulously. There’s a lot to learn from his interviewing skills.
and his make up & constant use of the “model face”
Awesome interview Chis. EY looks great - and happy which is awesome too. Cheers Mate. Later. - Dave.
This is such a good interview, EY is a fountain of knowledge.
Awesome job as always Chris
I was at that ladder match with Derek Wylde! I LOVE THE SHOUT OUT FOR NEO SPIRIT!
Thanks again for saving me from the Tiger attack, stopping the earth quake and putting out the fire! Also, great interviews Chris!
Haha what a review! Thanks for the laugh!
EY to me is the best talent WWE has ever wasted, not even EC3, Cardona, Cody, the Good Brothers or Moxley, imo
That's a pretty bold statement. But he definitely would be on that list of wasted talent.
@@kennythetrend3688 ye, I mean he's the most versatile worker out there, even if they made him do the stupid SNL comedy BS Vince likes he would've made it bearable, but they did nothing with him knowing he can do anything :/
Moxley is definitely better than EY, but with the rest I agree
@Zamza we found Vinnies CZcams-account
For Eric to lose his love for a while is tough to hear. I feel for him Chris, why the WWE let's that happen is a huge problem they need to fix. If you kill the fire, you have a bunch of zombies going through the motions.
Won’t happen til vkm dies
Vince was a genius back in the day, but he's lost his touch. I'm sure age is a large reason for his poor decision making lately. But I think social media has had a big effect on the wrestling business too. The fans have too much say so in who they want to be their champion and if they don't get the champion they want they complain. Same goes with the matches and who wins those matches.
Ace Goodheart Is Vince a genius or is he an opportunist?
At some point, wrestling had to evolve past the territories, Vince made sure it was him. NWA had done a CCTV broadcast 18 months before WrestleMania, Vince had more resources at his disposal to make it work.
A lot of what Vince has done has been off the back of other people’s work and simply putting it on a grander scale.
@@silverzombie4477 back then I would say he had a great mind for the wrestling business. It wasn't just taking over the other territories he also knew how to make wrestling appealing to all. It wasn't about just wrestling. He made his wrestlers larger than life/entertainers. He knew Hulk Hogan had that "it factor". Many, if not all the wrestlers working for WWE/F at that time seemed to all have gimmicks. They were all characters similar to comic books. Obviously other wrestler promotions had that too, but I think Vince took it to another level. And although Jim Crockett started the idea of PPVs with Starrcade Vince again took it to another level and hired stars from other areas of entertainment (Liberace, Cindy Lauper, Muhammad Ali, etc.). He even had a cartoon made of his wrestling characters, which as a kid, is what made me become a wrestling fan. So, I give him credit for what he did for wrestling back then. Although I think today he's out of sync with what appeals to wrestling fans today. Plus I think his ego gets in the way as well.
When EY mentioned Warhed I popped. I was working with him back in February.
Eric Young's always been one of my favorite TNA wrestler's. He's gonna be a multi-time Impact wrestling world champion, he's definitely earned it. It's good to see him back home where he belongs. I'm gonna buy his new T-shirt and help support him. And like I said before, impact should make a best of Eric Young DVD, I would buy it! He seems like a very nice and cool guy. 👍 WWE's broken system is why I would never work there and the fact that I don't agree with Vince McMahon's version of pro wrestling. Vince clearly doesn't care anymore and it shows. Chris Van Vliet always gives the best interviews!👌
Grow your beard back EY Great interview chris
Just woke up got the notification and an instant like and a thank you
Also CVV you interview a lot of guys do you know any wrestling schools in MISSOURI and would you do an interview with a fan
He's a tremendous talent who can wrestle it's a shame WWE didn't give him a chance to shine
They did the same thing to EC3.
Eric Young looks like Woody Harrelson
as a guy that has watched the rebirth of impact, and watched them clawing themselves back to relevancy. and now seeing alot of talent coming back.
Its only going to get better going forward, So yea welcome home Eric Young.

Remembering Turning Point 2007 when Scott Hall decided to not make his appearance for the Main Event. It pissed Samoa Joe so much that he cut a shoot promo dissing both Hall and the TNA management, before calling in EY as Hall's replacement and representation of the OGs who built the brand. Seeing EY back in IMPACT feels like that shoot promo was a long foreshadowing on who will be the sole successor of the company.
Eric Young Is My Favorite Indy Talent Of All Time
Ey’s great but let’s be honest, if I’m a booker for Raw and i have 3 hrs, I’ll definitely use 5 or more other wrestlers before i can think of EY.
EY in WWE really shows you what WWE can do to a star. Was so nice to see him, The sanity run in NXT had potential. Really sad they never did anything with Eric Young, True professional
Impact stepping up frfr their not going down without a fight, I hope impact makes a comeback b4 aew I remember when tna tried to bring the Monday night wars back !
Eric young is the man! He deserves so much better.
I'm glad EY is back home and already the champion he deserves a long run with that title more than anyone
Remember when Eric young was teaming up with Orlando Jordan??
Enjoyed your stuff with The World Elite in TNA. Thought it should have lasted longer.
Impact could be very interesting going forward with Eric young Heath the good brothers Ec3 returning
I’m happy all the guys got jobs other places
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now this is a true interview good job dude
Great interview, CVV! EY is very well spoken and articulate. I hope he goes after Eddie Edwards for the Impact World Title
Out of all the wrestlers released by WWE, EC3 and Eric Young were the most wasted. Big fan of him since his early TNA days. EY could do it all. He didn't necessarily need to be World Champ, but he could've been in memorable feuds building up other people rather than just being a severely underutilized jobber. WWE screwed this one up big time!
7:34 here ya go guys🎉🎉
“Vince loves big sweaty men” isn’t hyperbole. It’s truth. E.Y. deserved more of a chance in wwe.
This is get another copied opinion. There are plenty of people pushed that don't fit this mindset.
Chris! You don't know Baron von Raschke? The claw? You got some AWA to watch.
I always associated the claw with the von erichs I had no idea he invented it
@@Dave_ja_vu I don't know who invented it actually, but "The Claw" was one of his nicknames.
You can say what you want about Triple H when he was a Wrestler but you hear nothing but praise and positive things from Wrestlers about him as an authoritative figure.
@39:16 jake o'reilly shoutout! absolute legend of the ontario indy circuit!
Yet another banger from Chris Van Stubble. Maybe the next interview should feature Chris Van Goatee 🐐
Oh good call! Maybe we should bring CVG back! Haha
Chris Van Vliet it’s just a shame we can’t get ahold of Chris Van Mullet, that guy could have a legendary interview with Ricky Morton 😅
Ey and ec3 were pretty much TNA for a long time. Im glad he is back where he would thrive
Loved Eric Young in the old TNA days
I used to watch WWF as a child. After reaching adulthood I went on a 2 decade hiatus from all wrestling. Then on a random chance I ended up finding this program on Hulu called NXT that was a WWE product. I had some free time and hadn't watched wrestling in forever so I figured what the check and kicked it on. Started watching this episode and was in the process of figuring out what was going on. Trying to figure out what this Dusty Rhodes Classic thing was. Recognizing Bobby Rude. Trying to figure out this "10" character...And then it happened. The lights went out... helicopter sound effects.... spotlight swirling .... simple intense riff. SAnitY had me hooked and back into wrestling with a vengeance. Tuned into NXT every week. Are they going to be on this week? Was not thrilled when Sawyer was injured and eventually replaced with Killian. Was a visual thing 4 me. Then y'all got moved to the main roster and it was the end. Thank you, Eric Young, for getting me back into wrestling. I feel I need to work on watching Impact now. (Yes I know, different character)
Yea wrestling is like a ex girlfriend from back in the day. On and off. Im currently off. But enjoy listening to the older guy's in shoot interviews.
Sadly I agree with everything said. Much of the WWE’s issues is that Vince no longer does long term booking. Wrestlers get pushes only to quickly squash them, angles stall, matches are repeated constantly, booking gets changed constantly at the last moment and WWE goes for the quick money (Crown Jewel & Zombie’Jack match) without considering the long term effects of it.
@ 38:30, I was the dude that broke his arm. 18 years later and it still doesn't straighten fully lol
i love E Y....and he's speaking truth.
Eric Young one of the best. Sad Vince didn't use him better.

Can you do don Callis or Scott d'amore. One question to ask don or Scott is if they plan on finding someone new on commentary rather than having josh.
