i wouldnt say arina's routine was totally clean, but u can tell by sight that it was a bit cleaner than Linoy's . Lots of peeps are talking about Arina's small mistakes, but werent there also mistakes in Linoy's routine?
Until now I'm still sad because Arina and Dina lost at the Tokyo Olympics. I am Indonesian who admire them.

It makes sense that when you review it from video, it is lower because, when you are judging you don't see the little mistakes, but when it is recorded and check, all the mistakes appear. Honestly, Arina's clubs are so underrated, SHE DID ABSOLUTLY AMAZING AT TOKYO!!!

The judges actually have in front of them a screen… and they can see in slow motion every single routine.
@@Vip-COP but they have to judge it in real time. They only re-evaluate with the screen if there's a big difference in their scores.
Finally someone says it, this routine is incredible and without a doubt it was Arina's best in Tokyo 2020. She looked very energetic and beautiful.

The system is designed to protect you in case of being under evaluated, under scores but not over. Here it was the main issue. Nobody over evaluation can be prevented, you make a claim about your score but you can not make about your competitor. I can’ t recall a system that prevent both situations. If not mistaken the current champion on clubs is linoy ashram, dina is only 2nd dear (Varna EC)

Булавы Арины - это шедевр, я редко проникаюсь, но даже прослезилась на квалификации. Наконец их кто-то разобрал. Обидели в оценках не только Дину, но и Арине прям откровенно и бесстыдно занижали. Булавы Линой даже смотреть не хочется - топорно, неартистично.

Lots of people keep saying Linoy Ashram robbed Dina Averina of the gold medal because Linoy lost the ribbon during her routine, so her score should’ve been much lower. That mistake sure is undeniable, but there are other three apparatuses to take into consideration….and in all of those three routines Linoy not only had a difficulties starting point quite similar to Dina Averina’s one but above all she performed each of those routines nearly flawlessly (whereas Dina had lots of small deburrings/imperfections) and in fact got consistently higher execution scores - and that’s what got Linoy the gold at the end of the day.
Go back and look at the 2012 where Evgenia Kanaeva dropped her hoop twice.

No hate or anything, as I absolutely admire every performance they do, but honestly the routines just lack style and personality. You can literally put almost any music on in the background and it will still match. Yes, the dance steps are nice, but the entire routine is supposed to match the music, not just *crazy AD, catch* Smile! *Crazy DER* *fifteen other ads and ders and bds* *dance step, finishing position!* but really nice vid, thank you
I definitely agree with ur stance. I personally think the Code of Point in the previous cycle was the best. Artistic-wise, body difficulty-wise, and apparatus element-wise. thanks for watching! :)

Totally agree. I think the problem is with score points. I remember Olympics 2000, 2004 - amazing routines which were absolutely different, and each gymnast has her own style.

what does ad4 ad3 mean
AD4 refers to Apparatus Difficulty that worths 0.4 (Catch/Rebound from Large Throw)
AD3 is worth 0.3 and the elements are large throws, large roll, throw & catch of two clubs, and transmissions.

0:33 This is debatable but from what I can see, her arm was stretched out and her back was bent 90 degrees when she caught the club so I would say it is fair to say it was a valid AD4.
0:50 again, debatable. would I've like it if she held it for a lil longer? yes. But again, it seemed close to 180 degree turn to me.

I just can wondering again and again:how is it possible, that the only time, Linoy got higher scores than the twins (or Dina at least) was at the OG s ? Either Linoy was overscored at the Olympics or she was underscored EVERYTIME at EVERY other competion, and the latter would be very very unlikely.....
She won some gold medals in other competitions... But at the OG were the best judges, so what do you think? May be they thought they could be first forever? Even when they are not the best? If you are watching closely, you now that the bulgarian team in the group competititon were the best in many other competitions and they did not always won the gold medal because of Russia.

anyways here are some notes for Arina hehe:
1) i dont think the AD3 at 0:48 is valid,,, the base is high throw, but there is only one criteria (out of sight)!!! unless you can spot another one?
2) the second ring pivot she does at 1:10 was actually 3 rotations in the olympic final, this is your missing 0.2 in her BD score!!
3) the AD3 you scored at 1:16 is just the start of her dance steps!! otherwise, there would be 2 ADs in them and they wouldn't be 8 seconds (and therefore couldn't be counted!!) plus, there aren't enough criteria for this to count as an AD!
4) there is NO WAY that the judges would count the cartwheel after this risk at 1:30,,, you need to have criteria 'out of sight' to have rotations during a catch counted in R, therefore, this risk should only be 0.4!
5) same principle applies to the R at 1:33; this should only be a 0.3 R!!! particularly considering there was a clear pause during her risk as she had to adjust herself to catch in the cartwheel
With all this in mind, I would've scored Arina a 5.4 in D1/2 (same as OG) and a 11.1 in D3/4 (1.9 less than OG!!! I assume they counted her backwards roll in her risk perhaps...). This would give her a 16.5 for D!
and here are some notes for Linoy:
1) as per FIG protocols, you have to have your first leg off the floor in order to have 'catch in rotation' counted in a R, and I think Linoy does actually do this at 2:43... this would make her R worth 0.7 instead of 0.5 in my opinion!
2) 2:55... this is the one AD in Linoy's routines i always question myself!! I have no idea how she's expecting this to be paid lol
3) The DS should be valid for Linoy! Remember you are allowed to have one non-pre acro AD in your DS; this means you should count them from 2:55 to 3:03, this is 8 seconds!
With this in mind, I would've scored Linoy the D1/2 of 5.5 (her pivot was phenomenal in this routine!! and same as OG) and her D3/4 as 11.9. I also assume that they counted her AD4 at 2:19 as I cannot really imagine this AD with better execution of the rotation aspect. However, I also think its a bit of a sneaky one...
Regardless, I do think Linoy deserved a higher score for her Clubs routine, but recognise that I do ultimately prefer Linoy as a gymnast and perhaps this has influenced my scores! Happy to hear any feedback as always :))

Arina:
1) the throw at 0:48 is done without sight and in arabesque balance. So the two criterias are w/o vision and in BD. I believe that was a very obvious and simple AD3 to spot right away though.
2) I would say it is 2 rotations because a rotation should be counted when the body shape is fixed. I know it doesn't show here, but I counted only 2 rotations when her back leg was fully straightened. And yeah, I had guessed that the extra 0.2 was from this pivot. :)
3) Yeah I was very confused with this particular action because I thought she had thrown the clubs asymmetrically and in BD, that's why I counted it as AD3, and the catch (AD4) in the back(w/o sight) and rotation. I started counting the DS right after she did the throw. Now looking at it again, I should've just given the AD4 here.
4) I did not know that the last rotation in the risk had to be caught without sight to be counted as a rotation... are you sure about this? I've never heard about this rule before.
5) Again, I've never heard of the rule before. And yes, although there was a step, I felt she covered it well and connected the rotation with the catch nicely. But again, if that rule exists, this changes the whole conversation.
Linoy:
1) In order to earn the in rotation criteria in a risk, the catch has to be done without sight. Linoy caught the clubs with sight and so no, the in rotation and without sight does not count here. If she had caught it with her club like she usually does, it would've been totally out of sight and hence giving her the extra 0.3 from the risk.
2) 2:55 I know! lol.
3) I don't know if it is the way I edited the video, but I remember explicitly that her dance steps being 1 to 2 seconds short. I know u r allowed one AD that isn't with a pre-acrobatic element in a DS.

I mean a 0.5 difference from mine and urs, I think it's fair to say we were roughly similar with our scores.

False! I LOVE Dina (admittedly a bit less because of her poor sportsmanship she exhibited at the Olympics) but she didn’t deserve that gold because of house the rules are written and applied. The Olympics are always a bit different and they should have expected this. I’m very sad that she is so disappointed, it must be a very hard time for her and arisha. I send love to them💞

And her scores qualification vs final proved it. 4 rotations on the flat foot in qualifications : 0,4+0,1 for each additional rotation - so it was 0,7 VS 3 rotations on releve 0,5+0,2 for each additional rotation -0.9 This is the only pivot in her routine and the only element that could change the BD score in the final . BD qualification was 5.3 and BD final was 5.5.
She is a champion🥇, but she was lucky to win, but she was still insufficient.🥈

As a gymnast learning about cop is not that hard. If you want to, you can check it yourself and judge everyone you wish. And just because the author’s opinion is different from yours you cant say shit about them (or it just means that you are a rude individual who doesnt know how to respect different opinions) Educate yourself
