This is how you do an interview! Dude you did an amazing job of engaging each and every actor in less than 10 minutes, while also asking interesting, respectful questions. This guy is great!
He and another EW guy do a great podcast after each ep check it out!
Running on Empty I was thinking the exact same thing. This interviewer did a great job of including everyone. Well done.
Yeah, impressive interview. EW give this man a raise or promotion!
My thoughts exactly!!!
Dude yeah, on the nose! What a great interview.
Interviewer is a total pro, great job
My favorite things were Tim's accent, Dana's facial expressions, Everett's Lynchian hair, Matthew's crying, and obviously the multitude of characters played by Kyle.
Like everyone else, I've gotta say props to the interviewer, too. Masterful work. Perfect segues from one actor to the next. No awkwardness. Well done
Very good interview, this guy engaged with everyone really well!
shite interviewer. just watch Tim Roth's face throughout.
Tim Roth always makes funny faces. You see him in Reservoir Dogs at the table scene? Or in Meantime where he's just completely gormless and goofy?
I agree. I think he did a really good job of what was a pretty irregular interview format. Interviewing a near complete cast all wedged behind the same table while you stand beside them? Not easy.
MacLachlan should get Emmy nominated for Season 3. I hope the voters don't forget about him, given the nominations for 2018 are almost a year away. But Season 3 has been awesome for the most part. Not only are the old characters great, even the new characters are nailing it.
Kyle is an amazing actor, all his characters are believably real.
lavendar flow Agreed. It’s actually hard to look at him as anything else besides some weird mix of Dougie/Evil Coop now.
It does feel "main lined" when you watch. The intensity is incredible. I have experienced the most awe and fun I think that a fictional work of art can offer.
Irene Haralabatos me too! Every week I am on the edge of my seat. I have never seen anything that comes close to the new season of twin peaks. There is nothing else like it!
Agreed
Easily the best show in the last 20 years in it's cast and originality.
Very good interview. You covered so much in the little time and with the information restrictions that you had.
tim roth is just sitting there and going "aw shit i havent got a clue about twin peaks, i better smiles"
LOL Love Tim Roth and Matthew's interaction with each other.
I can agree with rest of the comments that interviewer did good job, with short good questions and engaged with everyone, thumbs up.
Probs to the interviewer, great job!
shite interviewer. just watch Tim Roth's face throughout.
Yes, Tim Roth is some sort of human gauge of what a good interviewer is LOL. STFU. He's an old ugly looking dude who talks funny.
a physical expression is precisely a gauge for the inner emotions and dialogue of thought. you should really think before speaking/commenting silly Mo!
Call for help
Jonas H lmao perfect.
RIP, Frank Silva
R.I.P.
And Jack Nance.
@@Vingul and Don S. Davis, and Catherine Coulson.
And RIP Robert Forster.
And RIP Peggy Lipton.
😢
Kudos to the interviewer! Great segue to each individual and connecting all sorts of stuff to make this into a pleasant interview!
Is there a reason why Mathew lillard is standing next to the text on the wall that says "zonkk"
Really great interview as a fan of Twin Peaks. Cool that each actor got their moment
I'm trying to come to terms with the fact I highly doubt I'll ever have any visual confirmation of what the hell happened to FBI agent Chester Desmond
Winnipeg Tinkleshine trapped in the lodge
Simply he is a singer not an actor
@@robyortichella7412 you didn't think he was good in Fire Walk With Me? I thought he nailed it.
that naomi can't remember if she was in inland empire is perfect
she was right lmao rabbits was a short film that was shot before inland empire
God, what an amazing interview skill we have here!
Tim Roth is the definition of cool
Such a wonderful interview!
Love that the interviewer engaged with every actor, even if some of the questions were done-to-death fluff ("What's it like being back on the show?!")
feel bad for Shaggy now I know what happened next ep
Deterna now he's scuba diving in a better place
*scooby diving
"Crushed it!" - haha, nice one.
Dude crushed this interview. Impressive
this interviewer is so good
Givpplspace Yep you can tell how good an interview is because you never notice it’s an interview. Just felt like a conversation.
I just watched the first two seasons and it seemed nostalgic (because it'd older, I imagine) and I've seen clips from the newer one where everyone's older (because of course they are) but seeing them here as real people in the same modern time they at once look modern for the first time and also just as nostalgic despite being real people and not their characters.
Dream come true watching these guys and gals.
great interview
Yeah, great interview!
Interviewer killed it
Such a cool atmosphere, I love it. They are so happy about working together and talking about what they do. Sincere enjoyment
really cool to see everett mcgill again =D
Wow seeing Darren Franich (the interviewer) here instead of just hearing
his voice on "A Twin Peaks Podcast" was wierd, but great. Everything
gets hysterically funny with him in the podcasts, it's so fucking
wonderful. Good seeing the cast like this.
Tim Roth looks so young for a man nearly 60 years old!!
Incredible interviewer
LOLed @ Tim Roth's "A Haneke moment" to Naomi Watts at 6:01! Guess he's referencing "Funny Games"?
5:22
Bushnell doubledown.
Good man
Great interviewer! Not a single cringe.
Interviewer watches TP, has a dimple, and sports a beard. He is cute. Like came back to this video days later just to say that.
Dana giving away his scene XD And Lucy talkin about Michael Cera
better see some awards for the show!!!!
I want to marry this interviewer
So that's the owner of that insane twin peaks podcast voice.
1:17 explaining a David Lynch film to my friends
3:05 he's talking about Sheryl Lee.
Big Ed... i love you Everett...
It's kind of a shame how so many legacy characters have such a small role in the new season. What's there, I've been enjoying though!
*Histerically sobbing*
Watts looks just like "Norma"
James will always be cool
Naomi should have gotten at least an Emmy nomination.
I am constantly finding myself feeling so impressed by how spectacularly well Naomi has aged. She is just so beautiful and still looks so young! I hope she keeps her beauty and never resorts to plastic surgery like so many other actors as the years progress. She is just so perfect!
Sound is hard.
Why do they keep referring to the character as Dougie? It is Cooper, Dougie has been destroyed or something. Cooper came back into Dougie's place.
Man i'm afraid Cooper may not ever come back as the Cooper we know and love.
watch the trailers
Jep Hep You've intrigued me... which one in particular?
i think its the 'where are the characters at now' one
I wish i could hear the answers properly.
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Feel bad for the actors having to stand up in the back
Wtf up with the wallpaper
Without Audrey Horne (Shrilyn Fenn) Im not satisfied!
bad audio
I'm just sad we haven't got to see the happy go lucky agent cooper and instead have had zombie coop #MakeCoopGreatAgain
I thought it was called Twin Peaks "The Return", did they start calling it "The Revival" at some point?
Erika Driscoll you are better than her!
pedjabgd1 I wasn't trying to troll, I was seriously asking. I'm not better than anyone.
hi Erika! you are better than all actresses in Twin Peaks!! thanks for thinking of me though!
pedjabgd1 You don't make any sense.
it is hard to make sense but... i made my point. and... i am glad i saw you here!
NAOMI!!!!!
I thought that Comic-Con was during mid-season of Twin Peaks The Return, but the host spoils the whole show, WTF.
I want to give James a hair transplant
Holy shit. I NEVER KNEW Naomi Watts was English before this.
Mailer Demon she's Australian, idiot
She has an Australian accent but.
Shes not 😂😂😂😂
Born in England but moved to Australian in the 80s
for the record, naomi watts has never been more beautiful than in this video.
Am I getting old, or is the audio in this video awful? I CAN'T HEAR SHIT!!
Horrible audio
Great interviewer
~ the urge to re-experience the18 hours among quaren'moments. -- overtly.whelming ( ) holy'gumpin'jorge ~¡
Ever heard of a microphone?
Lmao James Hurley was never cool
collette I almost feel kind of bad for him. Everyone else gets legitimate arcs but all he got was like a minute long cameo. For God's sake, Jerry Horne, Dr.Jacoby and Nadine have more stuff going on.
still 6 episodes left
Why people hate him! I wanna see more James, he and Donna were the soap opera teen drama on TP that made it what it was. I just dislike the whole plot with Evelyn.
Twin Peaks was great despite James. Not because of him. He was a terribly cookie cutter character and the story only focused on him after we found out who killed Laura Palmer and they needed to create sub plots.
Christopher Paul He was a good character in the first season and film though. Seems like a good dude, too.
The characters were one dimensional - but that's how Lynch wanted it. I think Lynch knows that characters are his weak point - but instead of being in denial about that fact, he embraces the weakness, and deconstructs these things called characters.
For Lynch film is a realm - a universe in its own right. A mechanical art-form that comes close to the dream experience. It's not that film is similar to a dream - to Lynch it is a dream. The physical manifestation of the dream state. Dreams and cinema are really one and the same.
Take the Fireman for instance - looking at his screen in an art décor cinema, he's like a Hollywood producer. He gives directions to different characters just as the man from another place did.
The arm asks 'is this the story of the Little Girl that lives down the lane - is it?'
it could be a producer asking the same question. As in what is this - another art-house piece of crap that won't make a dime?
And when Mike says 'wake up' it almost feels like the studio - begging Agent Cooper to return to save the ratings from nose diving.
Probably the reason he dragged Dougie on for so long as to create that frustration in the viewer and by extension - the producers.
And when Cooper comes out of his trance - the catalyst is seeing Gordon Cole in Sunset Boulevard - a film producer, playing a film producer in a movie about Hollywood - with the same name as a Twin Peaks character who also happens to be the director of Twin Peaks.
Where does fact end and fiction begin - or is everything a movie within a movie, within a movie, within a movie - add infinitum?
Why can’t these interviewers ever ask these actors about their passions and motivations instead of this tv crap. They dont know what the hell they are saying nor do they remember all of those episodes. Other people put words in their mouths. I doubt they even remember their charaters names most of the time. Lets get to know these people as people. I find that far more interesting instead of this tv/entertainment stuff.
The revival was for the most part a total work of brilliance, except for the end, which I hated. Thematically speaking... The Coop and Diane thing was lame and we STILL don't know anything about Joudy (intentional spelling) or what the hell was going on with Sarah Palmer!
sarah palmer is possessed by judy, genius.
