Don’t worry Doug I reckon if I had a 3 footer to win on the 72nd hole of the Open at St Andrews to beat Nicklaus I would miss too. But unlike you I was never good enough to have had the chance mate !

Pretty close to the Rory Mcilroy putt at the 2024 US Open on the 18th hole, final round. This announcer knew Sanders was in trouble from the moment he hit his second shot. Trevino hovered near Sanders a bit close before that short miss, but the big mistake was not resetting after swatting away the bug or grass while lining up the last putt. Huge mistake.

The bunker shot Sanders hit at the road hole is one of the finest you’ll ever see period. But under those circumstances? Unbelievable. Sanders lost to the best ever. No shame.

There's a feed out there somewhere from behind Trevino when Sanders misses the putt. Trevino's reaction was priceless.

Do you think Doug was nervous?

So painful to watch. Sanders almost getting brained with the putter: so symbolic.

Can you imagine, Jack makes the putt beating Sanders and tosses his putter in flight knocking Sanders out!
Picture Sanders lying there face down on the 18th green, beaten twice.
